I've been pretty happy with my experience at Ideal Image. Pros: 1. It works! A few family members have "tried" laser hair removal places in the past and purchased Groupons or discounted yearly packages, but they never got lasting results. I've had 7 of my sessions for my 3 treatment areas and have about 30% of the hair growth I used to have in those areas. I'm happy with my progress. I really think their lasers are better quality than a lot of other med spas. 2. National Network - I move every few years, so I like to only sign up for these kinds of packages with national companies. 3. Nurses! At Ideal Image, the team is medically trained. I think everyone has to be registered nurse to provide treatments. That makes me feel more comfortable. Cons: 1. High pressure sales call to sign up - I don't like the way I was signed up for my package. I think they would get more business if they took a chill pill and gave people time to review the contract before making them sign it right away without giving them time to review it. The sign-up process does feel scammy, and is not representative of my other interactions with the nurses/receptionists. I felt like I couldn't trust my salesperson because they rushed me so much and didn't have time to answer all of my questions. 2. Cost and they way they sign you up - it is super expensive. I am only getting 3 areas done at the moment, but honestly would have signed up for more if I were given more options/felt less rushed in the decision room. I would have appreciated the opportunity to see how much a few package options cost. I was only given one option and apparently they didn't have time to prepare other quotes for me for additional areas/combos. Based on my experience, and those that other reviewers shared, they really need to work on the business development side of how they do business. Keeping customers happy and empowering them to make the best decision for themselves is tantamount to a successful business operation. That's not happening here currently. 3. Inflexible scheduling - It is a real struggle to get an appointment/reschedule. Not a "con" of Ideal Image, but laser hair removal is painful. SO, word to the wise, after your 4th treatment or so, I would suggest taking a pain reliever in advance. Overall, I recommend Ideal Image to others, with a word of caution to be prepared for an insane selling process. They really need to change that. Also, I wish they had a referral bonus. I've had people sign up, based on my suggestion, but there is no incentive for me to continue referring people. I think they should offer a discounted service or tack on another month to a package... something. Referrals can help offset the negative experience from the distorted sales process. read more

Ideal Image used to give you a pretty good deal for Botox, but now it's just as expensive as anywhere else, and the service is very below average. You have to have a membership ($250 a year and you get nothing additional for that cost) just to get $10 unit Botox ($13 otherwise), and you still have to buy 100 units a time which is ridiculous. They don't draw up the syringes in front of you which is always a red flag with injectables. I've received over 6 treatments with them and I'm always left frustrated with my results and have forehead wrinkles coming back just a month later every time (which raises flags on if they dilute their injections). You get a different injector every time, so it's never consistent, they all have very different opinions, and some seem very inexperienced! I also had a photo facial BBL, which is supposed to remove freckles/dark spots. An expensive treatment that DID NOTHING when they said one treatment would show results. They try to sell you that you are getting such a good deal but it's a scam and you are better off spending the money on much better quality services. read more

BUYER BEWARE I'm writing this in hopes to save someone the pain, developed anxiety and financial loss that I had to go through with this horrible company. If you are not 1,000% sure that you can handle a decent amount of pain DO NOT sign a contract with them- because they are just trying to get your money. They do not care about you and are willing to lie and ignore you in order to put you into a corner to keep your money. They will try to entice you with the savings of a contract (without telling you about the pain of the procedures or if they may or may not be successful on you) but if you are unable to finish your package due to pain or any other circumstances that would make sense, you will be SOL on any leftover money and no one (including headquarters customer service) will care because you are only dollar signs to them. My case was extremely mishandled by both the people doing the procedures and the front staff and when told to headquarters, they told me I had no money left in my account (when I was told I did 2.5 weeks before and hadn't seen them since then- so no one knows what is going on there AT ALL).Do yourself a favor- if you're going to get something done, go to a smaller company who may actually care about your needs enough not to lie or make things up straight to your face and save yourself the mental anguish I went through with them. read more

I can almost understand if they would have burned me in one spot on accident, but why they continued on leaving burn marks all over my chest and permanently damaging my skin I will never understand. Good gracious what a miserable experience. I started going to ideal over a year ago for a laser hair removal treatment, and then added the lifetime membership for Botox. A few laser sessions in my skin was severely burnt by the laser, and the professional helping me told me it would be fine and to keep aloe on it. It healed over two weeks later. Most recently, my lifetime membership was expiring, I asked to please make an appointment prior to the expiration date so I could utilize the discounted rate. I confirmed this when I made the appointment, as well as a few days prior to coming in. Once I get there the professional helping me tells me my membership has expired so my session is double the price they initially quoted me. Of course the only way to work around that is to sign back up, surprising.... As of today I received a reminder text for my appointment in 2 days. I received it at 8am, and like most people have things going on during my day. 6 hours have passed and because I didn't click "confirm" from the text they have now cancelled my appointment. Not sure what this new technology is but STOP cancelling paying customer appointments because we don't answer a text. People have lives, and it's over 48 hours out from the appointment. This is ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else - ideal is only concerned with locking you into high prices and reoccurring appointments. read more

Not the fault of this location but unfortunate that's the direction corporate is going now. I was quoted a price over the phone and said I was a big boy. The woman I talked to said I would need 2 treatments on each part of my body. The first 2 days of treatment they did 18 different parts of my body. Me, I'm thinking 18 times 2 means a total of 36 treatments. They stopped at 32 and said I would have to pay Xtra for the last 4 then brought out a copy of the contract that I didn't have and it took them almost an hour to find it.and it said 18 treatments twice each and still refused to give me my other 4 treatments. read more

Joined their "membership" last year only to have the most difficult time scheduling...constantly being rescheduled. Bruised so bad after my Botox which I assumed was normal however I've gone other places and have been treated way better and didn't bruise at all. The last time I went into the office to get Botox the lady didn't even wipe my face down I had to ask her to wipe my face down and when I asked her she said I did. I was told that the cheek fillers would reduce my under eye bags and it did not at all. Would NOT recommend Botox at this location. The nurse injector tried to insist that I need almost 40 units of Botox in my forehead. I've never gotten more than 20 units at other offices, and I have always had great results. When I told her that 40 units would be too much, she tried telling me that their office "formulates their Botox differently". This is a HUGE red flag, because Botox isn't "formulated" in medical offices... Botox is delivered to medical offices in pre-formulated vials. I told them I would pass and I left. Not okay, and very concerning that they would lie to a new patient just to get more money. Also- side note: Jennifer (who led my consult) tried telling me that the normal rate for Botox in KC is $18 per unit. Also very, very false. She was also rude. I'm frustrated and feel as if they were trying to take advantage of my younger age... I may be younger, but this isn't my first rodeo. I don't appreciate deception. Very sketchy. I would highly recommend Monarch Plastic Surgery or Indigo Med Spa for your Botox services! While I'm paying a little more than other less reputable companies I explored, I'm confident that my results will be permanent and not just temporary. I hit a couple of scheduling and prescription snags but when I finally got in touch with Kirsten, she worked wonders for scheduling and was up front about what could and could not be done given the limited ability to see folks under the current circumstances. This place is a scam and the lasers are PAINFUL! Do not listen to the ads the radio or get lured in by the discounts. They use high pressure sales tactics and rush you through the process of signing your contract. After 5 treatments it was so painful I couldn't go back for anymore. The technician I get 99% of the time will only treat small patches on my lower legs, telling me the other areas don't need it. I've had reduction after all treatments in my package but still have 80% of my leg that still has visible hair. Since my package is up, they are charging $135 treat. I made the mistake of going in and asking for another tech who will treat the whole lower leg, not just spots. She did on my left leg, but then the other lady came in "to help" and just treated patches of my right leg. Poor decision to return. I'm looking for somewhere else to go now. read more

They responded quickly and got my consultation booked! Upon arrival I was very impressed with how professional and friendly the staff was. The consultation was easy with well-explained pricing and payment options. Right after the consultation I immediately had my first treatment. The medical staff was very clear as to what they would be doing with the laser. After each treatment you made your next appointment with ease. I would give zero if it were an option, salesman are only interested in making there money. My wife and I told our salesman Brandon that we were wanting to have a baby and if it was safe to get her bikini line done. He said it was completely safe. Well after one treatment she got pregnant, and apparently it isn't safe. So we have been paying for a service we cannot use while our account is on hold. I tried to get ahold of Brandon for weeks, when he finally called he explained that it is safe to "try" and "conceive"while having treatments as if that's what we asked. Then he said in his career the only time anyone has gotten a refund was a situation where a customer got AIDS. A contract is a contact, however when it is only signed based on lies and false pretenses, someone should have to be held responsible. I was a customer at the Kansas City MO location in Westport. I had to stop treatments because of medial reasons, but I am still paying on the credit lines issued. I tried to work with the location to get issued a refund for the amounts I have paid since I stopped treatment and remove any remaining balance from those credit lines. As of right now, I have paid off the Fortiva line (which was around two grand) and still have $3,990 (out of a line for $9,000) remaining on the Ideal Image Comenity line. I don't think it is fair for me to continue paying for something that I cannot participate in due to medical reasons and WILL NOT be able to participate in again. The medication I take now will be life-long, so there is no reason to "put my account on a medical hold." I called the customer service phone number, emailed the account manager at the clinic, and spoke to the staff at the clinic multiple times and keep getting a run around. I've been doing this for months and am at my wits end. read more

I just left the Ideal Image on the Plaza and I couldn't be happier. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. I actually had Botox and filler done, not the laser hair removal. I consulted with Brandon first, so I could decide which treatments to do and where. He was very nice and the price was less money than the last place I used! I love the fact that they only use RN nurses at their facilities. It made me feel better about the treatments and everything was antiseptically clean. The nurse was professional and the treatments were virtually painless. I also like the free garage parking in the Jack Henry building. I plan to keep using them in the future. read more
