Kristin Ayers is the World's Best Physical Therapist. She also seems to do a good job of managing…read morethe facility. She helped me rehabilitate my left leg, when a car hit my bicycle in 2017 breaking my left femur in multiple places. The accident happened in south Fayette County and the EMTs took me to Grady Hospital, in Atlanta because it has a trauma center. After surgery, the orthopedic surgeon said I could continue physical therapy there [driving in Atlanta traffic] or find a physical therapy center. My wife and I checked out several places. We stopped our search, when we met Kristin at Emory Rehab. This year, on March 19, 2019, I went to an emergency room, with left leg paralysis and extreme pain. While trying some other things and doctors, I went to Emory Rehab and made an appointment. Even though he has seen my MRI and she hasn't, I believe Kristin knows more about what's going on with my spinal cord than my neurologist. When I felt my left leg began tightening up, feeling heavy, feeling weak, feeling sore, and feeling stiff during a physical therapy session, I tried to continue the exercises until I almost couldn't move at all. Kristin led me over to a table and helped me lie down on it. Then she pushed a cart, with a box on it, over to the table. The box had individually wrapped needles in it. She asked if I'd like to to try Dry Needling, I agreed, and she began sticking needles into me. We had talked about Dry Needling before and I had researched it. After that, she helped me to turn over to my stomach and put a heating pad and some blankets on my back. The table has a removable hole, which my facestuck down through. This let my spinal cord be straight. A while later I was able to stand up, walk around the room, and do some stretching exercises. I was able to walk out to my car and get in without help. Now she uses Dry Needles on me during each physical therapy session. I have Spondylosis, a spinal cord illness, which causes all the above mention problems and emergency room level pain. Today I hiked about 4.5 miles, the longest hike I've done since before my first paralysis attack on March 19. 2019. I'm learning how to deal with this illness, with the help of the World's Best Physical Therapist.

The staff worked hard to schedule an appointment immediately. The office staff, the PA, the clinical staff were all very nice. However, when the physician came in to consult on my mother's case, he walked in, grabbers her arm without any acknowledgment or greeting. He seemed oblivious to the fact that he was causing her a great deal of pain. Only after I made a point of introducing my mother to him did he bother to introduce himself. NOT OK. I appreciate that he is busy, but the lack of respect was very hurtful. The fact that she can't speak for herself doesn't in any way make her less worthy of respect and compassion.

Don't get me wrong, very polite and courteous , attentive to your needs. I was asked to be early , and I was 10 mins early. Still waited for 20 minutes, only 2 people waiting in the lobby, including myself, no complaints. My issue was Stacey the MRI tech. I am coming in because my knee will not bend. So I am hobbling to walk. I have to lift my leg to move it.. She sees this. She just stands there and looks at you.. No assistance of getting on the MRI table, no assistance of getting off the table. I almost fell on the floor getting off the table.. It was a struggle to get on the table in the beginning. I don't know what her issue was of not helping and least help me lift my leg that I am having problems lifting on the table. She is the type that I can't touch you. She should not be in this type in this field. If touching and assisting people is an issue. This isn't my first MRI. BUT This is my first experience with someone staring at me to get on the table of not assisting, seeing I need the help.

Despite that, I've been trying since January to get my deposit refunded. I was told they can't issue a refund because they're disputing part of the claim with the insurance company, even though they confirmed my balance is zero. An appeal was denied in March, and I'm still being asked to wait. Communication has been difficult, and calls haven't always been returned. This has been a frustrating experience, especially since the issue appears to be between the provider and the insurer, not me. That said, Dr. Albritton was outstanding, and I'm very happy with his work. Unfortunately, the billing process has not reflected the same level of professionalism.

When a guy I liked at Sprouts asked about my first post-surgical boot, then mentioned his Auntie's foot problem, I trotted right out to my car to get the info car I had on Dr Stewart. Look him up online to hear & see how healing is a real calling for him. Smart young med student I took along to surgery & a post-surg appt was impressed & inspired as well.
