I drove up to 90 minutes per session and as hard as that was- it was worth it! Kelly is in one word: AMAZING! After some hard sessions over a few months, she helped bring my chronic pain (for 14 years!) from a 8-9 out of 10 to a 0-2 out of 10! I would wake up writhing in pain from my back. It felt like muscle spasms. Throughout the day, if find myself making funny movements to stretch. I felt tired all the time...and grouchy. At our first session, she immediately found my tender points and quickly figured out the cause! Bad posture from: carrying heavy backpacks, sitting improperly during long commutes, and just from sitting. Between manual therapy and dry-needling, she fixed the problem! She had me order a foam roller to stretch my back at home, encouraged yoga since it helped, taught me proper posture (how embarrassing), and home exercises to maintain our progress. I haven't seen her in almost 9 months and I keep improving on my own. The change in my life is indescribable: I'm sleeping well, have lost over 10 pounds (I have the energy to make healthier meals and to walk), I'm more engaged with my family, and just feel like a happier person! I went to get a DOT physical for my CDL to stay active and valid. The process was smooth. From start to finish , I was in and out in an hour. Flat. I filled out some medical forms and sat for about 10-15 min before being greeted again and called back. It wasn't packed of super busy like other places I've been to before. It was a sigh of relief lol. Once I was in the back I proceeded to complete my tests and spoke with the provider. Her personality was so pure. They care about their patients and took very good care of me. I'm grateful for the staff. It wasn't a moment of dead air. My relative had on these clothes that look dirty. 2 days later I came back, the room smell even stronger then the first time. I think they don't wash the mop out when they get through moping. Also, he still had on the same old dirty clothes. His room smell awful. They(nurses) ignored their patiences. They seem like they wait too long to feed them because someone was hollering about they was hungry down the hall. Most importantly, I request for his medical records and i know it haven't been long and i am not complaining about that, its just i was giving a number and now its not a working number. When arriving at the facility I was greeted by your medical billing secretary acknowledge that she saw me and she would assist me momentary being she was assisting another customer. The secretary then addressed me requesting that I proceed with you check-in procedure and providing me with documents to complete and gave me permission to be seated to complete the forms. When call to proceed to the back the lab tech/medical assistance was very courtesy and knowledgeable about her occupation . When proceeding further into the building the cleanness of the establishment is clearly due a complement ! The physical was provided by a very nice physician /Doctor who was punctual and swift . I told her I wasn't tired and get sleep as needed. she stated by chart I was obese, I said I'm in good health I can breath, sleep, move around quickly and drive with no problems. Blood pressure was high when arrived but lowed by time I left. I was nervous! she also asked are both of my parents living and I stated my Mother was deceased she said what happened to your mother I said personal reasons, she had the nerve to say it had to be a heart attack or stroke I was pissed after she said that but I kept calm, she discriminated against me seems like of my color and age ,and this female doctor is African American .She had no right bringing up assuming what happened to my Mother, many things could have happened to my mother but Doctor assumed it was a stroke or heart attack that took my Mother away and she was wrong for that. Jerking on me hard and walking off like she had a atitude or didn't want to be bothered with me. I left and person up front up front said that Doctor always fail Truck Drivers and she was on her way out that place because how she treat her patients and staff. This doctor trying to push sleep apnea tests on CDL Drivers for medical gain and this out dated chart doesn't measure everyone the same, we all have different shapes and sizes. I called several places and inquired about their services and scheduling. I selected Holistic Occupational Therapy not just because they were near but because they asked for my number to have a therapist call me to answer my questions. They wanted to make sure that they could provide the services I needed and explained the services I inquired about. When I went in for the appointment the therapist did a thorough exam, asked questions, recorded my expectations, and explained the plan of care and the time and expectations. She then sent the information to my doctor for agreement and approval. BTW, my surgeon was very impressed. I never felt rushed and all my questions were answered. I have had various physical therapies before but I was most impressed by the online program that she provided. As I did my exercises at home I was able to let her know my pain level and the number of repetitions with each exercise. Therefore, in my next session, she would be able to measure my success from home and at the clinic. It made me feel more in control of my success! The office is a clean, organized, and calm atmosphere. Thank you to Tori and the staff! I give this office an A+++!
