We walked in, and…read morewe were able to book an hour beginner lesson/rental ($35pp, cash only) that was starting in less than 30m. They have a small seating area where you can wait and watch other shoot in the meantime. There's a jacket rack in the hallway and a bathroom available. The staff there was very sweet and welcoming, and our instructor, whose name I didn't catch (tall, long hair), was a great teacher in going through safety and the basics & giving pointers and answering questions! Our lesson just had around 4 people total to begin with, and then 2 joined later, which seemed decent (since you have to wait until the last person clears shooting before we all grab our arrows again). After you're finished, you have the option to take your target sheet with you if you'd like a small momento! It was such a fun experience for me personally and a great date night place. Would definitely do it again and recommend it, especially for anyone who wants to try out archery!

After self rating yourself using the NTRP chart, they place you in a group of 3-5 people led by an instructor. Everyone in my group is around the same playing level & our instructor Brian is the best!! Every week he switches it up on what we work on - from serving to volleys to slices and we usually play a few games too. The hour goes by so quick each week and I find myself wanting to play even more now. They also have a very large parking lot, a small shop inside where you can buy balls/snacks/etc., and a discount for members who join the adult clinic. If you're hesitant or nervous joining group activities like me then I recommend checking out Cunningham because I've been having a great experience.

This place do not deserve even one star, I wish there is negative star to rate! I enrolled my daughter who is 5 yrs old for swim lesson at Hillcrest so she would not be afraid of water. She drown during one of the class and there is NO LIFEGUARD or any instructors around that I had to jump in water to safe her. I was so scared to the point my stomach turned inside out and I was shaking. I don't know how to describe it but I wouldn't want any parents feel that way. My daughter was crying and scared. Gateway did not handle this situation well at all. The manager at the time just came over to ask if we would like to go home. I did not. Only because that would only give negative feeling to my daughter so I stayed. After the class we were leaving, NO One came and checked if everything ok with her or I (only because that day was the coldest day in December and I was soak head to toes!) I felt so wrong to just leave without saying anything so I went to talk to the manager, only then she said "sorry...this wouldn't happen again and we are shorthanded. We usually have lifeguard there." That was it! No follow up nothing. I am not comfortable with this place Hillcrest anymore. For a couple week, my daughter keeps saying I drowned in water. We still have classes left and I still want her to learn and thought I'll give another try so moved the location to Bayside. My friend who registered with us moved together to Bayside. They passed first level so we put them to 2nd level. Out of 6 kids only 1 pass and the rest fail. We enrolled again for 2nd level again and they all fail again. Some instructors are better than the other and if you get the bad one you're stuck. They do not correct bad position how they swim and they just let them fail and retake. At this point, they just keep taking your money but no concern of anything. I will not be ever coming back and would not ever recommend any of my friends' kid to enroll here! Also when we registered for the last time they had the first class date removed after we registered and extended to following week of last class. I called them to cancel since this schedule wouldn't work they refuse to refund. They said they will only refund the last class if we can't make that one since it's their fault. Wow so basically only they can make mistake and make it exception but not for anyone convenience but theirs. With this 8 classes and with the instructor who doesn't correct or teach the wrong form majority of the kids in class fail AGAIN! We would never go back or recommend this place to anyone. Stay away from this place. Not only they don't care about you they only going to keep taking money. Who teach to fail just so they keep taking money! To response to your reply: I had address all this issue with whoever I spoke to on the phone. The person had even said that "I'll address that to the manager!" But that was it no of follow up whoever always say they will call me back. Also after we give up and look for another place to enroll my daughter, a friend of mine told me wherever u choose make sure not to go gateway. Her friend's kid had a drowning experience! So obviously my daughter incident is not only one and you guys handle it very poorly. We trust and put our kids to learn swim so they wouldn't have to go through this but right off the bet they were traumatized. SAFETY SHOULD BE NUMBER ONE! Score! I also saw Snypex on Amazon. But I only saw a few reviews and decided to see where they were located and I was shocked to see how close they had a store to me. So I go in to check these out in person and the products feel really high end, and the coolest part to me is this thing called the x-wing universal adapter so I can connect my phone to the binoculars to take pictures and videos, which means I don't have to purchase a camera :-) I am really into nature and I can't wait to go practice some yoga outside, pack my binoculars, and document the beautiful emerging Spring. Yay.
