Most importantly, the fence is correctly anchored into the ground and can last for our lifetime in this house. Russell was a great communicator, always early, and meticulous in the accuracy of his work. My job ended up being more work than the original estimate because of problems identified after taking the fence down. It added an extra full day of work. However, Russell did not modify his estimate and made sure it was perfect and that we loved it. His price was right in line with what we were prepared to spend, and he provided an itemized quote with a breakdown of supplies and labor. I highly recommend Russell for any house carpentry work, and other handman type tasks. He is a wonderful, kind, honest, hard-working, and professional person. We are super happy we chose Russell for this big project and will continue to use him for our house care and updates.

I had my floor redone from tile to wood , they didn't float the floor properly, you can see gaps in the baseboard and see many area that had hump which cause the floor to crack. Electrical wiring for my dishwasher wasn't properly installed, even best buy didn't want to touch it. The only good thing I can really say is window installation was done well. It's excuses after excuses. Whenever I asked to get it fixed, it seems like David was doing my a favor. I would steer clear.

He also emphasized that he was the "cheapest," which initially seemed like a benefit -- but unfortunately, the quality of work reflects that. The fence installation was not completed to a professional standard. There is inconsistent spacing between pickets, visible gaps in areas that were supposed to provide privacy, and multiple sections that appear patched together with random pieces instead of being installed cleanly and uniformly. There is also a significant gap under the fence that was never addressed, which should have been handled during installation. In addition, debris and trash were left behind outside the fence, and the job site was not cleaned up. Items that were discussed and agreed on -- including the top border trim -- were not completed. I was told these items would be finished and waited for a follow-up visit, but after most of the payment had already been made, the remaining work was not completed. When I raised concerns, communication became dismissive, and instead of addressing the quality issues, I was told to hire someone else. Overall, the work feels rushed and unfinished, and I will need to hire someone else to correct and complete it. If you're considering hiring, I strongly recommend confirming all details in writing, holding final payment until everything is fully completed, and closely reviewing the quality of work. Shail Amador is a real craftsman at putting in paver pathways. Based on a recommendation from Rick…read moreat Faber CNK, I contacted Shail and he fairly quickly came to look at the job and give a very fair quote. He communicated well along the way as the rain caused delays in all exterior yard contractors schedules. He and his crew were the best contractors we had across the many during our patio build and new yard build. Our job is fairly substantial - about 320 16" X 16" silver travertine pavers (from Rick at Faber CNK) in 40" wide pathways with backstar gravel plus chopped stone edging all along the garden/tree beds around the new backyard. Probably about 300 linear feet of 40" wide pathways plus backstar gravel around the back of the house. While he was here and in addition to the planned work, they also installed 15 in-ground LED well lights into the pathways, put in an additional drain, and installed holes/pipes for the main gate cane bolts. Shail also recommended where to get the chop stone and picked it up for the job. This is his own small business, and Shail treats his customers very well while doing the work along with his crew. I cannot compliment Shail and his crew enough. They were in and out in four days plus Shail came back after a full day's work on a Saturday to finish up a few hours on Saturday evening. Relative to our other contractors, Shail and his crew took care to keep the yard free of trash and leave the remaining materials organized. The work is beautiful and we've already had many neighbor complements. Please see the attached pics.
