I am in Mobile on vacation and was looking for a nail salon. I came across this one on Yelp. I was a bit skeptical by the mixed reviews. I called and they were about to close but the owner allowed me to come in the next morning an hour prior to them opening, which was amazing. Upon arrival, the place was spacious and very clean. My tech was cleaning the pedicure chair I was going to be using. His name was Si. He wore gloves and masks the whole time. I was able to get my pedi and gel mani in the same chair, thus not having to move around while the place got busier. Si was pleasant, knowledgeable, and did an amazing job. He took his time and did not rush the process even though the place was getting busier. I am extremely happy with the service. For services they have a menu and you can choose your experience. So, the price level is up to what you want. I would go back to Si at this location and this review reflects only his service and what I saw as far as cleanliness and space of the place. Worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I called ahead to see if they were busy, letting them know what I wanted to get done. They told me they were not busy and to come on in. When I got there, though I was sat at a pedicure chair within 5 minutes, I then had to wait another 30-40 minutes before someone came to get started on my service. Before that, three separate people came to ask me if I just wanted a pedicure so I repeated three different times that I also wanted gel manicure. Because I wanted a regular pedicure and gel manicure, I picked one of the dnd shades that have matching and regular polishes. The sample looked nothing like the color I actually got. The pedicure was ok. But the manicure is where it got really bad. Instead of moving me to a manicure station, she decided to do it from the pedicure chair. That's fine. The nail tech didn't ask me what shape I wanted my nails before going in and making them straight... though some ended up crooked. She did not put on very even layers and did not properly cure the first layer. Because we were working from the pedi chair, the uv lamp was on an uneven surface, yet she told me I was putting my hand in unevenly causing the polish to move... After several bumpy layers, she put top coat on before putting another layer of color and top coat. I'm attaching photos of the result that I took as soon as I got home. And because of the multiple layers and over curing... the polish has not come off even after three separate 30 min soaking in acetone. I've only been in Alabama for a minute, but across the board I've noticed getting acrylics, whether it be that SNS dipping powder or old school acrylics, nails are EXPENSIVE. However, if you're going to spend the money, this place has the best quality nail service. My nails looked amazing and it was a fill! My one complaint was my pedicure. It was one of the worst I'd ever received. The guy used one of those under your nail cleaning brushes all over my foot, under and over and up my leg and it felt like he was brushing me with needles. The owner and some people that work here are friendly but I've had too many bad experiences now. When they get busy I notice they start to rush to get to the others instead of taking their time on the job they already started. This particular time I told them my previous problems and requested a technician. He said he could do them but I got handed off to another girl. She ended with putting gel top coat on my nails that I did not ask for. She did not use the light to dry them and only let me set for 2 minutes before putting cuticle oil all over my hands and messing them up and told me I was good to go. My appointment was for 3pm for individual lash extensions, the guy did not call me back until an hour and 40mins later.
