(The person was late and I never got a call to tell me they were even coming. After I reached out they said she was on her way but couldn't text me because the app was hard to get a number from and she was driving. But she was actually a passenger and either way should have called a manager for them to reach out to me, I digress...) But I can honestly say I have never had such a disappointing and painful experience in getting my brows waxed. To be fair, the shape is fine. However, I am 3 days post wax and have dried scales of skin underneath my eye brows. It is still trying to heal from where it was ripped/burned and I am having to use makeup to cover up the redness on my brow. It still burns to even put moisturizer on my skin. Furthermore, in a complete first, my eye LIDS were swollen the day after my wax because they put the wax all the way down into the crease of my eye lids and ripped and aggravated the skin. Never had anyone do that. I assume it was because she was 25 minutes late for my appointment and 10 minutes late for the person after me so maybe she was rushing? I think she left the wax on for too long and put it in inappropriate and delicate areas. Either way, I can't recommend their services for brow waxing, not sure of other services they offer.

My niece looked like an angel, or a model. So that solidified my opinion on where to go for special events. Then, this weekend, my daughter, my niece and I all needed services. I needed a Brazilian and a haircut, and my teenage girls needed cuts & colors. We invaded on Saturday and were there pretty much all day. And we actually had so much fun! Honest to God, I have paid 4 times the amount that we paid here for just my daughter's hair. Both of the girls look fan-freaking-tastic, and I love my hair as well! We all walked in with photos of what we wanted, and Rhonda listened, advised, and worked with us, so we all walked out with everything we wanted! The girls' hair looks amazeballs!! Especially my niece who had severely damaged her hair with non-professional dye jobs, WAY too strong bleach, and years of teenage experimentation and neglect. She walked in with fried, unhealthy, muticolored hair, and walked out with long, beautiful, shiny healthy hair that looks super natural. We have all three gotten several compliments on our hair. My mother even said she was calling soon to have her hair done. I will never go anywhere else, for any other service. I'm officially Rhonda's stalker!

Used to be The Porehouse but after ownership changes, Ms. Leah continued her buisness under a new name, Leah's Place. Nestled right next door to Bake My Day and easy to find! Ms. Leah is a very warm hearted and professional person. She is always smiling and we pick up conversations easily from where we left off before. Makes you feel right at home and comfortable from the moment you walk in the door. I have had to reschedule due to buisness and she worked with my schedule with no problems! Now, the services I recieve are sensitive in nature. Ya know.... think of Brazil (get me here Ladies?). Sometimes with these services you take a gamble when you go somewhere you're not sure about. Being new in the area and reading hit-or-miss reviews for this type of service, I took a gamble. Soooo happy I did! Leah makes sure you are comfortable and does a fast, clean, and accurate job. I have been recieving these type of services for over 10 years and Leah is crazy quick, but thorough! I can be done completly within 30 minutes. Also, I have read dissapointing reviews of other salons in the area where cleanliness is a problem. Not at Leah's Place! Gloves are worn, a new dip stick is used with EACH application, clean "bed" to lay on. Leah takes care to maintain cleanliness. Look at her health inspection.....100% ! I should have known better when they said walk-ins available and I was seated in a hair salon chair, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Because, what do I know, I'm from out of town ‍ First step, wash eyelashes, they didn't do that. Next kicker, she taped my eyelids open. I told her, don't you think my eyes should be closed. No, no, she said. Okay, whatever. I let her do her thing. I was so nervous about the outcome. BOY, did I get smacked in the face with a doozy! They're stiff, they don't look natural and all the lashes were mixed sizes! I'm like why are they all over the place sizes. She said because we didn't have the in between number. I was like, you should've told me and I would have told you to leave them all the same size, UGH! Then they were like, we'll trim them a little. Oh, god! Made it worse. I was like stop. Just stop! They ruined my lashes! Now, when I get back home I'll have to get them removed and replaced. Damn it! I should have listened to my gut ‍
