Doctrine preaching…read more In this world of false doctrine being preached we were happy to hear the word of God! We read bad review but it didn't settle well with our spirit. We met a couple at CVS pharmacy downtown They prayed with us at the pharmacy and we needed it! They ended up being pastors at this church and invited us so we attended. We will be back this is the first church where the pastor was preaching true doctrine in its entirety. Not fancy - not a Hollywood church at all. So far as unfriendly we were treated with love period. People go to churches expecting to much and get hurt often. Remember the church is like a hospital people go to get healed and loved on. So when you encounter anyone in the body of Christ not reflecting our savior they simply let the human side reign. We all Battle in our walks. We will be back if not make this our permanent church as we reside downtown phoenix so it's a great location. False doctrine the pleasing good word mixed in with some scriptures is taking people away from God. This church is truly in the good fight during these end of times tribulations and we were seeking out the real doctrine preachers. FOUND IT! Praise God!

I love how Pastor Jeff, one of the teaching pastors, breakdown the bible verses to help you understand better. Ok where do I start?…read more...... I learned about New City Church through one of my co-workers. I was actually looking for a "fresh wind" type of worship and fellowship experience as I searched for a new church home. This past Sunday I decided to see what New City was all about. I was absolutely overwhelmed by how welcoming and attentive the members are there. I was sitting at one of the tables near the coffee bar (Yes, there is a coffee bar inside of the church!!!! I know AMAZING right??) and one of the Welcome ministry staff came right over to greet me and even gave me a tour of the church. Instantly, I felt right at home. The worship experience was awesome, lots of praising and teaching in a loving, accepting and inviting environment. The service progression was actually explained so that new members or those that are new to the faith would understand. But there's more..... If you had an interest in the church your questions were answered right on the spot! This church has about a dozen different ministries to choose from, so I'm sure there is a place where you can fit right in! In addition they have an art gallery....yes an art gallery!!! And you thought the coffee was the bonus :) every first and third Friday an event is held to showcase local artists. How cool is that????!!!!! I challenge you if you are looking for a church home or someplace other than your home church to visit New City Church is the place! I had an opportunity at the end of service to go up and meet Pastor Brian. I was so thrilled that I told him he would definitely see me for the rest of the year! They don't look to closely at the scripture that says whatever you have done to the least of these you have done to me meaning Jesus. I take comfort knowing that on the day of judgment God will separate the sheep from the goats.
