This studio has changed the lives of my entire family. When my son started, he was a week shy of 7 years old, and his father was on deployment in Africa. A family friend was starting her daughter and we tagged along to see what it was about. Before the end of the class we were already signing up! We were offered a 2 week trial to see if it was for us, but we didn't even bother, my son was so excited he couldn't wait to put on his uniform and left the studio wearing it asking me to take a million pictures! That was 3 years ago! My son is now a black belt, as am I and my husband! My youngest son is in the Tiny Tiger program. I can't say enough good things about this place. The program truly changes lives. My now 10 year old was having focussing issues (he's recently been diagnosed with ADD, and mild tourettes syndrome) and we wanted a sport he would be enthusiastic about. At 7 we couldn't imagine he would change this much for the better. He is part of the Leadership program and has found confidence in himself to help out others not only in the studio but in school. He's told me so many times how he sees a kid at school being left out and he walks over to include them because that's what leaders do. In the studio, he found something he excelled at, putting dedication into tournaments and earning a State title for California. But more than anything, he's learning to live in society and become a POSITIVE influence in this world. My 4 year old has a mind and attitude of his own, and the instructors work so well with him. They are patient but firm, which he needs. I appreciate that his class is small and he gets a ton of individual attention! They work with him not only on super cool ninja moves, but teach him about safety (knowing parents names and phone numbers), self control of his cool moves, and RESPECT! He says yes ma'am and yes sir at home! How awesome is that! On top of that, it's not just for kids! I've found confidence in myself I didn't know I had, and as an adult to put dedication and commitment in something isn't easy. But I've found a passion and calling for something I didn't even know I wanted, but I know now we can't live without. This has brought my whole family closer together and we are in it for the long haul! read more

The younger classes were very large with either the children with challenging behaviors or at the top of their class getting the most attention. Unfortunately, they did not offer much individual feedback and the classes where short for the size of the class. Additionally, one of the older instructors, pushed my child's head in front of the class to prove that his stance was not solid, instead of showing him the correct stance. This was demeaning and hurtful. He has brought up the incident more than once even through we no longer attend. I do not recommend this studio. I am looking else where. It was a big disappointment and waste of money, time, and detrimental to the well-being of my child. Also, they did not work with me financially when a big life incident occurred and we could not make the classes. Do not sign anything. read more

The best studio for kids! The instructors are so patient and invest so much into the kids there. My son is 6 and pushing 2 years there and it's been one of the best investments. The staff there is so friendly and they treat you as they would family. My son has learned not just the proper techniques for martial arts but has learned life skills that he can use outside of the studio. 10/10 recommend for kids of all age groups! read more

Our son has participated, on and off, at Ignite for the past 6 years. We have been happy 98% of the time and when not happy, we have been able to resolve any concerns. The staff here is EXCELLENT- all of them. They speak respectfully and positively. They demonstrate clear and appropriate expectations for themselves and their student. My girls absolutely love the entire staff at ATA. I've watched them gain an unbelievable amount of confidence over these past few months. Equally important I've seen their attention spans hold longer, their response times speed up, and their ability to communicate respectively increase. The only problem is I wish I would have been an ATA kid growing up. I am sure it would have made a difference in my schooling and work ethic. Ignite ATA Martial Art has become a second family to us. We can not say enough good things about our experiences. Our son, Devin, has been attending for almost four years and is currently working towards his second-degree black belt. Ignite ATA martial arts is a wonderful place to grow. This place goes far beyond Taekwando. My kids have grown to learn discipline, respect and self-esteem. It extends outside of the gym, they take these principles to their home, into their classrooms and You can see it when they are with their friends. Unethical business practices- This place is like taking your child to a cattle call! There are way too many kids to get any kind of actual training in the Tiny Tots program which we participated in. We were told they would work with our schedule because our son is only with us half the time and his mother the other half. After we were signed up they changed the scheduling so it would no longer work and were not nearly as "flexible" as they advertised. After we saw what the studio was like and how it was abslutely not what our son was interested in we realized we were tied into a year long contract with HEFTY cancellation fee- $199 even with 30 day written notice. Interestingly enough, we were not sent home with a copy of this contract. They have that copy. The one we have, and the one in the 2 packets we have from them says nothing about that in the cancelation portion of the literature. It is unfortunate because when our son was able to get the little attention the good, young and enthusiastic instructors were able to give it was nice. There are also many volunteer instructors which are actually students doing much of the "training". Would never sign my child up here again. read more
