It was nice to see how progressive this library was from self check out stations and a plethora of children's programs. In honor of Autism Acceptance Month, the library is hosting presentations that focus on increasing the understanding and acceptance of persons with autism (register at cmlibrary.org). The program which peaked my interest the most was the Black Owned Business Showcase which is held during Black History Month. It is a chance to meet successful African America entrepreneurs from the Charlotte community from various industries for information and networking. There is also the 'Reading Check up' which is supported by Learning Ovations, Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and Read Charlotte. It is a program that prioritizes your child's reading need and it is free of charge in Mecklenburg County. She is such a welcoming person and we both felt so comfortable in her gallery. She talked about some of her upcoming classes and workshops for younger artists as she remembers meeting my Granddaughter Savannah. Downtown Fort Mill is continuing to emerge post-COVID and the monthly art crawl is a great way to support our local art community. It's essential to have creative inspiration in our lives for balance & harmony. Ft Mill has doubled in size to 30,000 residents in the last 5 years and it's great to see so many out supporting local/independent business.

I went here yesterday to make copies of contract-related material. I went back today to scan those…read moresame documents. I thought I could scan at home but couldn't, and the Huntersville library is closed for renovations. On my first day here (yesterday), I watched a man on a computer sneeze directly into his hands and continue typing, I walked by a little girl who coughed twice loudly without covering her mouth, and I accidentally dropped my change so all the coins went rolling under the bookshelves. I literally got on my hands and knees to search and collect the change--they were quarters! Today I went back and let the librarian know that I hadn't scanned anything in years. I pretended I was dumb so she would walk me through it. It worked. Very seamless experience. Prior to finishing this review, I just received an email reply from the person I'm sending this info to. That email reads: "Thanks, Tyler (my pen name). All that's missing now is a copy of a voided check." Back to the library!

My experience at Plaza Midwood Library on January 8, 2025, at 4:30/ 5:00pm While using the library…read morephone and time was given was 5 mins only. The Plaza Midwood Manager asked and asst that I was another person who has cause trouble in the past (Oct 2025) and that she pulled an employee by the of Miss. Kerry tried to ID me as the person and couldn't ID me. Plaza Midwood Manager push the issue that I was that person and said they have video, which was not true and threaten to call police If i did not give her my ID. I only ask to use the phone for 5 mins only. This manager really went out her way to stress out customer with no proof at ALL. (Couldn't ID Person by involving another employee and threaten to call the Police if I didn't show proof) and got permission to use the phone for 5 mins. This manager made this experience at this location unwelcoming and non-service place for people looking and needing service. I suggest others looking for service at another location. This manager Negative ENERGY!!!! Every Manager position is Replaceable because how they treat others. (Employee and Customer)
