Received rx for pain relief cream but Costco was closed. Asked for transfer of prescription to Mejeirs pharmacy. Waited 5 hours and told to wait until medical staff could review the prescription. In pain, I only asked that the pharmacy be changed not the prescription. Still waiting. read more

Zero stars for running office visits out of your urgent care while my son sat there needing stitches after an accident. I know you all saw my son, the only one sitting in urgent care with an urgent need, holding his wounded arm with a bloody paper towel, as you called appt. after appt. in. When I spoke up a fellow care seeker told me to book ahead of time!!! Finally, after I speak up you see my son long enough to send him to an emergency room at another hospital. My kid was in need of stitches for over two hours because of your incompetence. Why advertise as urgent care when you obviously are not? read more

rude office staff, I feel like i am in a 3rd world country all the nursing staff are like robots and treat me like i am cattle and they are organized to be super efficient in filing insurance claims for giving me some dumb creme. I sat in the office for chigger bites (common us pest bite) and the nurse was using google images to find the bug bite. she never examined any of the bites or anything and just billed me 75 dollars to my garbage obamacare plan (this was after sitting in a room for 30 minutes). we need healthcare reform in this country. I have come to the West Ann Arbor IHA urgent care for several years and have always been satisfied with the care. Our last two experiences were very negative, though. Sure, it's easy to set an appointment online and they're mostly on-time but, they misdiagnosed my son's pneumonia (followed up with regular physician during normal business hours after IHA said it was nothing) and they completely dismissed my pain and lab results as "normal for women" when, in fact, I had a serious medical issue (also found in follow-up at UM). Not sure we'll be back to IHA after these two big misdiagnoses. Maybe ok for something like a Covid or strep test or an xray. read more

Have not a single visit here solve any issue. Always gets worse due to being sent home with no resolution. Came in for my daughter was dismissed with no testing being done and symptoms got much much worse, had to visit her primary when open days later for the tests they should have ran to begin with. Was told to drink liquids. Ashamed and angry for visiting here love having a balance for terrible medical care. read more

I'd been having some GI trouble for about a week so I caved and finally went to this urgent care. I popped in during the UofM/State football game so I had hoped the wait wouldn't be too long but it was still about 2 hours. BUT you can join their waitlist online (or via kiosk if you go there in person) and get updates via text to come back for your appt time. Which rules. So I filled out my info on the kiosk (next time I'll do it on their website so I don't have to go in) and went home to wait. 10 Minutes before my appt I went back. And I was back and seeing someone 15 minutes later. The facility is new so it's super nice and clean. They have a fish tank in the lobby (which delighted some children waiting) and comfortable, plentiful seating. There's also a small shop which I assume is open M-F 9-5 with snacks and such. That primarily for the office workers I'm sure but it's a nice perk for patients. The person I saw for my appt was a student NP and she was super nice and helpful but still, a student. The doc came in after she assessed me and did a brief exam and gave me some tips for feeling better. I kind of wish he hasn't seemed so rushed and took more time with me because after I left I felt like I still had some questions. So you may need to be a bit more of an advocate for yourself here if you're more comfortable with a doc. Clinic staff is also super nice, btw. read more

I fell off a ladder. I am "of a certain age", was in shock, and really struggling to breathe. My friend took me here because they have x-ray facilities. At check-in, I was in a wheelchair because I couldn't stand up, still struggling to breathe, and soaking wet because shock often makes people sweat (diaphoretic) so I was sodden. Check-in clerk told me to wait because she was "right in the middle of something". When she finally deigned to wait on me, all--ALL--she had the slightest interest in was my credit card for co-pay. Warmth and concern of a lump of dirt. Then I sat for over an hour, sodden, in a waiting room that was virtually refrigerated. When they finally took me back my body temp was 96.1*. (Clinical hypothermia starts at 95*.) I was shivering, my feet and hands were blue, but my friend had to *ask* for a blanket for me. I sat some more, waiting for a PA, who told me they had nothing for pain onsite other than ibuprofen, and sent me for x-rays. When I came back from x-ray I told my friend I had Motrin in my purse and I needed something for pain so I took it. Then the PA comes back in and says, "I could give you an injection of Tramadol." WHAT????? Well, no, not after I'd taken 600mg of Motrin she couldn't. The x-rays showed nothing broken. So after well over two freezing hours, I was sent home with nothing. Tramadol comes in pill form, and the PA could easily have written me a scrip. But she didn't bother. This place is bad medicine from beginning to end. There's no excuse for any of what I went through. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

This urgent care has misdiagnosed me twice. Both times I ended up in the ED in order to get correct diagnosis and proper treatment. One time resulted in emergency surgery. Probably best to just bypass this urgent care if you're in need of treatment. I will say the staff was friendly, but that didn't help my symptoms. read more

This is one of those scam sites that advertises Covid testing, then when unsuspecting people get in there for the test they are are charged for "an examination," even though there's no examination; it's just a Covid test. This can be hundreds of dollars. If this happens to you, please be nice to the receptionists; they did not set up this unethical situation, and they are not profiting much. It's the bosses who should be held accountable for the scam. read more

Don't go to IHA. Their billing department is awful. They will send you to collections even if you pay. They will refuse your HSA cards. They will charge fees that you didn't agree to. The actual healthcare is fine, but they will ruin your credit. read more

WHY do super painful, urgent medical issues ALWAYS occur on the weekend when your regular doctor's office isn't open?? I had excruciating ear pain one Saturday morning when my regular doctors office was closed so went to IHA West Arbor Urgent Care. The pro's of this place are that you can save your spot online and avoid hours of waiting, and that's about it. The cons are that you're not even greeted with a hello but a "how will you be paying your copay today??", then told to fill in a paper carbon copy of the EXACT same information you filled in online because they told you it would "save time", then passed off to an RN who has the bedside manner of a stone and clearly was born without an empathy gene for the pain you have listed as an 8 out of 10 on the extensive pre check in survey they make you fill out but obviously don't read. I left after the briefest of examinations with antibiotics and a sense that I was a complete bother to them. I WAS told however, that if my pain didn't improve or worsened in the next 2-3 days to come back. Pain seemed to actually get worse and still couldn't get in with my regular doctor so I returned only to be met with probably the most uninterested, condescending and non compassionate RN I had ever had the misfortune to meet who fobbed me off in the worst of ways. Hey IHA, don't tell patients to return if things get worse and then treat them like a complete nuisance when they do. Especially those that are in pain and need your help and understanding as a medical professional. It makes your facility come across as a completely non professional, chop shop of a money grab. My advice to those who actually enjoy empathy and professional medical treatment would be to stay far, FAR away from this place. read more

I have gone a couple times and was in and out in a matter of 15 min. It helps to book an appointment on their website. When I arrived, I let them know and they sent me a text when it was time to come in. Not long of a wait at all. Everyone I was in contact with was professional and friendly. read more

I had a accident, went in with a trauma injury possible broken bone, tons of pain and swelling, the whole limb was deeply bruised. They were fast, only one person in front of me. The doctor stood 6 feet away which is fine to talk, but no exam of my injury ever occurred. They took an X-ray which I question whether or not is mine because I have a bone chip from a previous injury just below the knee. The chip can be seen and felt sticking up through the skin and that did not show on the X-ray at all. Contrast that with my physician who was hands on checking range of motion, strength, pulse, extent of swelling, locations of pain, ordering more X-rays (because he couldn't see the bone chip either), getting me a walking boot, pain meds and more. read more
