How did I not review this one yet is really beyond me. At least I am writing one now. I had first saw Rick W. with his photo booth at the Yelp Elite event onboard the Battleship USS Iowa. With all three Yelp territories involved, that's a lot of Yelpers attending this event. Can you picture the line waiting for the photo booth from that kind of description? I think Rick W. and his crew handled it very well and I am amazed at how many pictures that photo booth cranked throughout the event. Seeing Rick W. and his photo booth again at the Hollywood Holiday event for Yelp at Madame Tussaud's wax museum was definitely a treat. We were there early enough to do more than a few photos and grab enough of the photo props to be silly in every frame. I am sure there was a good long line throughout the evening. Very happy to get to be in these photos and greet Rick and his helper Doug. Very courteous and professional, yet very personable to talk to about other events. I got a few business cards from Rick because I would recommend him to anyone needing his services for an event. I see the iHeartMomo booth at all the Yelp events. I don't even go to that many, but I always see Rick each time. I think we just go to the same events! Photobooths remind me of weddings... and the Death Cab for Cutie song...and arcades. I have never used IHM for my own event, but I enjoyed IHeartMomo at the U.S.S.Iowa, RB Cheesecake Factory, Spice Affair and the recent event at Abilgaile's in Hermosa. There are always good, useful props and the photos print out quickly. They cut the photos in two, so you and a friend can each get a copy. What isn't to like? read more

I've just recently got married and booked what I thought was a great fit for a photo booth for my guests to enjoy but I've been deceived. I've had emails back and forth and some in text messages of what we've agreed upon for my event on 11/17/18 and nothing besides the text that prints on the photo was correct. Almost that was wrong until I kept correcting him and making sure the spelling gets adjusted. I had booked a photobooth for 6 hours, open booth-no cover/closed booth with attendant, unlimited prints, option to email to guests, a complete set of copies of all photos taken for myself to keep. What I got was... 1. Poor set up of a photobooth that looks nothing like photos of what I've seen on yelp, personal website, google, IG and specific photos of how it would look that was personally sent to me in email. My set up had a table my venue provided, a table linen I provided, a laptop to take photos because the very rude attendant couldn't get his equipment to work for my event which was propped lower than the photo booth camera would normally be. It has caused my photos to print with glares, shadows, clear visuals of guests chins, etc. 2. 6 hours service with attendant! In the 6 hours what was the attendant there for? Obviously didn't take the time to make it better. He treated it like it is what it is. He easily could have made the proper adjustments to allow the booth to work most efficiently instead of not allowing guests to enjoy it the way that they should have. Some of my guests have shared that the attendant got mad at the guests for attempting to start up a photo session and gave dirty looks for touching his laptop. Was very rude. Had a look of disgust towards my guests and like he didn't want to be there. Such a lack of professionalism. 3. Unlimited prints. It sure was unlimited for my guests even some sessions had 2 ppl, 3 ppl, + and it would print 10 copies of the same, attendant sat there and didn't do anything until a guest mentioned it to him. Again poor customer service and set up. I would think I would go home with some photos since it was printing that many. 4. A complete set for me to take at the end of the night. I didn't get not one. I've seen so many that guest showed me in texts messages but it came from my guests, not the company. I shouldve been given my set by the end of the night but I received my NOT complete set a whole month later (12/19/18) and the quality is bad. I knew I didn't get sent a complete set because the copies he didn't provide me were the ones with the most flaws. So bad I asked Rick would this be something you'd be happy with? He didn't answer my question. He told me I was being unreasonable to have asked for compensation based on my experience I've had. I know what was produced isn't something he wants shared because isn't presentable to get clients engaged to book. I've simply reached out in the most professional manner and he shows no care for me as his previous client. I wanted to give him a chance to see if he will make it better but don't think he feels his company isn't at fault. I wish to rate this business Zero stars if I had the choice to. I can't for the life of me figure out how this company is rated so high. This company was flat out horrible. I hired them for my husband's 50th birthday. The photographer, if you can call her that, was 2 and a half hours late. I basically paid for only an hour service. She was scheduled to show up at 6:30 to set up for 7:00. She didn't show up until 9:30 and claimed she got lost. Her equipment then broke down for about 30 minutes. So she really only worked from 10:00 to 11:00 pm. To top it off, the quality of the pictures were so bad! The lighting was off, color was odd, and you can barely see people's faces in the photo! Communication was bad too. Response time was more than 24 hours yet they were quick to charge a deposit. I've attached a couple pics to show how poor the quality is. Lesson learned, money lost. I really think this was the worst photo booth provider ever! Tech showed up with the open air booth after we discussed several times that we wanted the closed booth. The lighting was terrible, almost every photo was black! The tech was using her cell phone flashlight for lighting. All these 5 stars are FAKE REVIEWS from family and friends! We had iHeartMomo's photo booth rental for our wedding yesterday. The guests loved it, especially the children! The crew arrived promptly before the event, which was good because it took them a little bit to set up. Once they got going, the booth was certainly a highlight of the night. We asked specifically for a box to be placed nearby so that we could make a scrapbook of the duplicates, and the technician was accommodating and friendly to the guests! Today, the pictures were available on Facebook for our guests to revisit and for those who were invited to our wedding but could not make it, or left early. If Yelp had the capability to give no star rating, this company deserves NO star at all. I was part of the helping crew for our cousin's wedding reception. The wedding planner and her team, the bartenders, the DJ and his team, the caters and serving staff, and the bride and groom's helping staff was all there ahead and on time. Except for the "Photo Booth" person. The back drop and table was all setup. All he had to do was setup his photo equipment(s), props, and lighting. Let me tell you, he was NOT ready by the time the guests started arriving for cocktails. By the time he was setup, there was a long line of people waiting to get their photo(s) taken. The results of the photo(s) were so awful. The lighting was too bright, it was washing out on ALL photo(s). The logo of the bride and groom's name/date was not aligned, so it was being printed out across the middle of the photo. And no, it did not look like a boarder at all. As for the photographer: 1. He was late 2. Rude 3. Unprofessional 4. Was like literally, nudging (physically) and in your face to not touch the table This photographer who had the gig for our cousin's wedding on 11/17/18 at San Jose, just gave your company a bad name and representation. I recently attended a wedding that hired this photo booth company and I wasn't impressed. My sister and I were the first ones at the booth and he didn't seem to be ready at all. He was still setting up as all the guests were arriving. We stepped up to take our photos and the booth attendant was so unpleasant. He seemed angry that he was there. After our photos were taken, a pop up on the screen showed up giving us an option to text/email the photos to us and when we opted to do so, he sorta yelled and said that we can't do that. My sister and I just looked at each other and stepped aside to wait for our photos to print. When our photos printed, what seemed to be about 10 photos (if not more) of us printed out. (I hope the bride didn't have to pay per print because that was a total waste!) Also, the text that was part of the photo design covered our faces! I was kind of disappointed as our photos were super cute but was ruined by the poor placement of the text. Our really cute 4 poses we took ended up being just 2 legible photos since the 2 photos on the bottom got ruined by the text placement.. not to mention how poorly lit the setup was causing the photos to print dark. I wouldn't hire them with the mere fact that 1. they weren't ready at the beginning of the event (I hope the bride and groom didn't have to pay for that time) 2. The attendant was rude 3. I Heart Momo showed up with a 1 day notice, drove deep into the hood with no fear, and stayed at the party til beyond the contracted time. They went above and beyond of all duty. Even though there were way more prints than originally imagined, the photos were upped to facebook promptly. Prices are very very fair, and they travel all over Southland. I used iHeart Momo for my wedding and have mixed feelings about it, but it turned out well overall. I'll start with the good: - Very competitive price. - On-site assistant was nice and helpful. - Fun props. - Got to design my own layout for the printouts. - Can cram a lot of people into the booth! I think we got 12 at most, which is a ton of fun. - Photos posted on facebook the next day, and I got a CD (eventually) with the files as well. And the bad: - Communication speed was so-so. Sometimes Rick was really fast, and other times he wouldn't respond for several days and required repeat emails. - My last favorite was that he TOTALLY got my timeline wrong. I specifically asked him if the hours that you buy include or exclude setup time. Here's what went down: Me: Does the 4 hours include setup, or is that 4 hours of photos? Rick: The set up and break down of the booth will be used towards 4 Hours. For example, to have the Booth ready for use 7:30, we'll arrive at 6 pm(90 mins prior) for unload & setup, and have the Photo Booth ready for use by 7:30 pm prompt. **The set up only takes about 30 - 45 minutes. Every venue varies with their time and loading dock set-up. Me: Maybe we should aim for 5 hours total. 6:30 set up 8:00 photo booth open 11:00 photo booth closes for cleanup 11:30 cleanup finishes I will also contact my venue to make sure this is okay :) Rick: No problem! We're excited and looking forward to the big day!! So I took that to mean that Rick confirmed my understanding of the the policy (hourly contract INCLUDES setup and teardown), and he was in agreement with my timeline. The big day comes, and I walk by the photo booth at 6:30 as I'm taking post-ceremony photos, and the booth is already set up!!! WTF. I ask the on-site employee and she says that she's there, set up and ready to go from 6:30-11:30. ARGH. So it worked out for my guests in that the booth was open even earlier than I intended. However, for me, I was annoyed because I would have been able to save money and pay for fewer hours had we agreed on a proper timeline. Also, I had to bug Rick multiple times for the CD post-wedding, and I eventually got it 3 weeks after the event (he had initially said I would get it a week after the event). Overall, the service at the wedding was good, but I was unhappy about the communication issues despite my efforts to be as clear as possible. read more

He never made me feel like I was bothering him and was very accommodating. His staff arrived on time an hour before the start of our party, made test shots to ensure the picture came out well and was super nice to our guests. Love the photobooth! There were lots of prop options and Rick that was attending the booth was really helpful. Even though they were closing up, he let us take the last pic before they closed down. The only downside of the pic that came out was that the coloring was a bit too bright. It almost looked fake or the pic was fading color.
