IHOP Artesia has one of the worst managers I have seen in a long time. We were seated and there was only one waitress on the floor. We had to wait 15 min just to get coffee. The manager just walks around seating people. He could have gotten the coffee to begin with. When we saw him walking around we asked for coffee. One would think he would have hussled to get the coffee and help out his only waitress, but that didn't happen. This by far is one of the worst managed restaurants I've ever been too. No wonder the place is empty. Need new management. When sitting in the booths all the windows on the inside need to be cleaned. I feel sorry for the waitress. read more

took so long for are food basically gave us 1 plate every 10 minutes and all of are eggs were under definitely never coming back here again.

I would like to give a rating but can only give one star. The restaurant was very clean and we were greeted at the door. However after 10 minutes of absolutely NO response from anyone we simply left. There was no hostess at the front so who knows when they will ever realize that they lost a customer and tip for the wait staff. read more

This place is a piece of crap! Went there with my wife and kids when I first got to Artesia. Waited forever to get my food and my sausage was cold. Went back a few weeks later with my best friend at 11:18pm on a Saturday not night because the sign said 24hrs. While waiting on a table the lady said we close at midnight and stop accepting tables at 11:15. Only one of us was going to eat and there were no signs indicating the change of operating hours. The lady insisted we have a good night but IHOP ruined our good night! Thankfully, God Bless McDonalnds because we had not eaten all day and we were starving. McDonalds literally saved our lives. read more

Worst IHOP ever, the counter lady was clueless how to do her job and didn't know the wait time. And there was empty booths that were open but instead we were seated at a table. Also our orders we're wrong when they came out, and some of the food we ordered didn't even get served. Our waiter also never came to check on us not even once. I do not recommend coming here. read more

My daughters and I went out for breakfast before heading out of town. We were seated immediately, next to what I can only describe as the servers break area. Our waitress (who couldn't care less) wrote our order down-TWICE- before forgetting to turn it in. When our order was finally delivered, my order was wrong, and one of my girls didn't even get her food! Our server apologized, stating it was too early for her (uh it's 8am and you're a breakfast server...?) Her plate was delivered shortly after, but ours was cold from waiting. She took my card to pay the bill, returned a good 12min later (kinda sketchy to have someone running around with my credit card) and then gave me a paper to sign the receipt on, saying their pens won't write without it- which is an instant red flag, you're running around with my credit card and my signature will be indented on this paper. The pen wrote fine, btw. I will never eat here again. read more

We ordered 3 different breakfasts. All of them had at least one thing wrong and/or missing. No apologies. We were very polite. When we left explained to cashier and asked for a discount. She said she would get the manager. The manager never came. Not the first time we've had the issue. But it will be the last. Will not be returning. read more

The pros were the food was sent out to us in an exceptional time and was quite well. Now, for the cons. We were kept waiting at the entrance for quite some time, we were left waiting at the booth for some time before someone came and took our orders, other patrons had cold food, etc. To top it all off, the manager was nowhere to be found! Come to find out, he decided to sleep in, and leave an inexperienced wait staff to manage the place! read more

It was a great experience! We were a group of 3 and were sat right away. They were busy, but handled it well. We got our food in a decent amount of time except the tortillas were running late. No big deal. The waitress was very nice and checked back regularly. Very satisfied! read more

I've eaten all over the world, this the absolutely worst place in the world to eat. Servers are not trained in the basics of serving. Kitchen staff argues, cuss and throw dishes in the back for all to hear. Wait staff spend more time in drink area talking about lousy dates than taking care of customers. Food is over cooked and dried out. When you pay you bill they can't make change, apparently can't count. I will not ever eat there again. read more

The food tasted good however pancakes were not warm enough to melt butter. If you don't mind waiting a hour to actually get your food at 2:30 in the afternoon. Plus watching others leave because they couldn't wait any longer. It's ashamed how how such poor service will ruin this IHOP we will never go to this one again. read more

This place needs new employees/ management in order to get better! The service is painstakingly slow to the point you may have to devote two hours at lunch to eat. If the wait wasn't so long it would be better. Food is fine. read more

This place was the worst!!! From the service beginning to end. Literally no one was there but the employees and we waited for a while for them to get up to seat us. The server was horrible because instead of telling me of what they had to drink, she kept letting me go down the list saying they dont have it until i asked what do you have (Amberley)! Then the food was horrible! I had to tell them that they forgot to add certain ingredients and then she told me she wasnt sure if they had sour cream or not and then said they didnt! They were more focused on someone who brought turtles inside the store and had them back there where the food was! She didnt ask us for refills or anything! I will NEVER go back there! It was a waste of money and the place wasnt even really clean! read more

SLOW! They are also extremely unprofessional. I should have got up and left after 45 minutes of waiting for my food. It took them an hour and fifteen minutes to get me a basic hamburger. It is also poor service to make your customers wait to pay their bill while the employees talk to each other. Save yourself some frustration, don't eat here. read more

This IHOP has made great improvements on the night shift in the past two months. Before, you could barely get a drink... I came in tonight (2/24/2015) around 9pm and the restaurant was fairly busy, we were immediately seated by Kendra, who was a great server. The manager, Tyler was very polite and inviting. The ihop in Artesia New Mexico, is the worst restaurant I've ever been to. And I go to a lot of restaurants. First off, my husband and got seated at 10am. After about 10 mins a waitress came by and said "have you been helped?" I said "no" and she said "oh, I'll be right back" . We ordered and got our coffee, and that was the last we've seen of her. After waiting 1 hour for our food, I have to flag down the manager and tell him we've been waiting an hour for our food. He said "I'll go check" after he checked and said "it's coming right up", we waited another 30mins. Keep in mind that our waitress never came to check on us for that whole hour and half. After I've noticed that I wasn't the only one waiting for our food for the past hour, I saw groups starting to look around like what's going on?. I've heard people saying "we've waited an hour" and I started to see people leave that have been waiting an hour or more. After an hour and a half we got our food, and it wasn't even what I ordered, BUT I wasn't about to wait another hour for my correct order. In that hour and half that we waited and got our food, the waitress only came to our table twice, once for our coffee and second to bring us our food. No "how you doing, sorry for the wait" nothing! After we ate and try to get out of there, we went to the counter and paid (which I do think we should've paid for the horrible service and wrong order) my husband and I asked "so what's going on? Short staffed?" (They're 3 waitress at the counter) one looked at me and said "we don't know what we are" the other waitress said "we're used to people walking out on us and the long wait" I told them that this was the worst restaurant I've EVER been to, and I go to a lot of restaurants. I paid, which I don't think I should've, didn't tip and got the heck out of there. This ihop needs to close down or something, if long waits and people walking out is what they're used to. We finally left at 1Oh AND, one table that was complaining too, said that they had told their waitress that they were waiting more than an hour for their food, and the waitress said "oh let me go to the back and cook it for you". What kind of service is that??!! IHOP headquarters should fire everyone in that ihop Artesia New Mexico #3448 and start over! read more
