Mediocre service and horrible management! My first experience at this location was beyond repulsive but that was due to rowdy guests who were not only loud but vulgar. Unfortunately management was too intimidated to say or do anything. However, I decided to give this location another shot - BIG MISTAKE! My husband and I went today and again, clearly disappointed. It took forever to order our food and another 20 minutes to get the check. As our waiter finally approached our table, I asked him to redeem an anniversary voucher we had receive specifically for this location. His response, "Sorry miss but we need a print out". No biggie, I kindly asked to speak to the manager. He walked over and to my surprise the manager barely spoke English!! I asked him nicely if he could accept the email upon proof of ID and he flat out refused. I then asked if he could print the voucher for me, he said no and just walked away. Learn to treat your patrons with courtesy and offer a feasible solution..otherwise, you'll lose lose loyal customers. We will NEVER return to this wretched location. read more

Arrived to an empty IHOP. There is the main entrance where the dining room is and then the take out entrance where they heavily advertise Uber Eats. Upon walking in and was a patron eating outside food (hmmm isn't this against some health code). No hostess to be found. After 3 mins of an annoying beeping the patron who I guess is somewhat connected to the staff turns the ringing off which I later learned was for Uber eats. He then went to get the hostess who clearly was annoyed that I was there along with the phones ringing and now the beeping going off again. The positives are the music was great and the take out area is very clean and has tables and chairs where you can actually dine. Worst IHOP ever. Waited there with my mom, restaurant half empty and the staff just gave us looks and ignored us. A guy said there will be someone coming to take us in, but everyone was on their phone in the back ‍ the ladies looked at everyone else coming in and still on their phones. I was there today 3/23/2022 and what I experienced I have never experienced anywhere else, I was waiting to get seated and the man who was going to take us to our table ask his co worker a question and she started going off on him, being so disrespectful and rude for no reason when he asked her a simple question she went as far to say "use your eyes and ears and don't ask me questions because I'm overwhelmed" and she was talking so loud even the people behind us couldn't believe it, and all he did was say okay to her. Don't leave reviews that much but just had to for this terrible ihop. I visit from Saint Louis and everytime I've been here its been slow service. It's the middle of winter and people still have to wear their coats inside because it's still chilling indoors. That in turn makes the food cold when it eventually comes out. Sat down and waited at least 20 min for our drinks to come out. Witnessed a hostess arguing with a costumer about being seated. She argued with them, did not try to settle the situation but instead told the costumer they where wrong and I did not hear one sorry. Don't come here hungry still havent gotten food after 40 minites. Its not even busy, there are open seats around me. Over all really disappointed. read more

EDIT: Things changed quite a bit. The incoming crowd has gotten significantly smaller, so the place isn't nearly as packed anymore. Service is still slow as heck, however, I would blame the lack of waiters for that. The waiting staff are friendly, so not much of an issue. I usually come here whenever I visit my mommy, so pleasant times are had. Not much to say. It's standard fare, don't expect anything exceptional. Just a nice time. I'm not very big on chain restaurant franchises, so the only other IHOP I went too was the 174th location in the Bronx. Noting that, the service here pales in comparison. I understand they are new, but the service was beyond terrible. My boyfriend and I waited 20 minutes for the waitress to take our order and about 20 minutes for our check (after requesting it). The restaurant space itself is too small for the amount of seats they stuffed in there (it honestly is severely over packed). Still, they seemed to have more than enough waiters/resses, so there is no excuse for the poor service. The food was fine. I have no quarrels about it. My mother loved it as well, though she holds the same complaints as I do. In short: If you know a better location, go there. It's worth the extra travelling. read more

Not much around this area for sit down unless you are looking at fast food establishments. I go to correctional facilities for work several times a month and was starving and needed some grub to hold me over since I can't bring food in with me. I decided to come to IHOP to stuff my belly. The food was ok, not good not bad but for a random weekday morning, it was somewhat empty, lots of waiters and even still it was really slow. It also just felt really dingy. There was a a piece of glass in my mashed potato and the manager Andre offered a discount along with a condescending apology stating they didn't put glass in the food on purpose. My daughter was eating from my mashed potatoes. All he did was ask "are you hurt? I have to ask because I have to write an incident report" GEE THANKS for your concern for my safety and my daughter's safety. AGAIN I MUST SAY, BY FAR THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EXPERIENCES BY FAR. I understand that any eating establishment can have accidents and can make mistakes, the way the situation is handled, especially when it concerns the safety of their customers makes a difference. IHOPs in New York City to me are crammed in and almost uncomfortable setting. This one has ample seating and the service is so nice. Can it be that its because they are new? Possibly but I travelled from Brooklyn to the Bronx just to meet with another couple from Brooklyn there for a late lunch. The service was great. I truly forgot the waiters name, but he had an uncanning resemblence to Cam'ron. Anywhooo, the food came on time and was delicious. Isn't that all you could ask for? Worse meal ever! We visit IHOP of Larchmont regularly and NEVER thought quality could be so different at different locations! First the waiter was rude and indifferent. He brought us unsweetened ice teas without any ice ??? Our daughters kid meal came with French fries instead of the fruit cup we ordered. When we asked the waiter he said they ran out of fruit so the kitchen automatically substituted !!! Didn't even have the courtesy to address this when he brought the meal. I live a few blocks away and wanted to go there a few times in order to give a fair review. I went a couple times during a morning rush but did not have to wait longer than about 15-20mins - which is a shock for an ihop. I went a few times during lunch hour and did not need to wait at all. Every time orders placed came correct and in a timely manner. Wait staff was polite and well trained. Even front of the house hostess/seaters were pleasant. It's nothing grand, or special...typical ihop. The ihop to-go window. A little confusing when you order by phone you need to "secure" your order with a credit card - even if you're paying cash. That was a little iffy to me, I don't want my card information floating around...but I can understand how someone may not come and pick up their order and now that's food wasted. The wait time for an order through the window is about the same as if you were to sit down to have your meal. It would be better if the to-go orders were sped up a little since you're not there for a dining experience but the food...to-go. Overall, I can see myself going there again in the future. read more

My husband loves loves loves Pancake so we are here a lot! Parking is available but on a weekend morning it can be pretty crowded. Although I never had an issue getting a parking. Wait time is average on a weekend you can wait a little longer but nothing too bad (unless it's a holiday weekend). We come often so we have waitresses/waiters we prefer and of course there is some we can do without. The service is average. If we get the ones we prefer usually no issues. The ones we don't prefer always come with attitude, trying to get over us by adding gratitude (very tacky), or just not being attentive. A fall-back choice when you're not feeling too inspired (and you're dining with others, kids especially). Subtracting a star since they charge more for food than the price listed on the menu. This was the first red flag....so I waited. He was in and out the kitchen. Someone else came to order pancakes and bacon. After 30 minutes (now 11:45am) he cancelled his order. During that time 3 orders came out and all 3 were the wrong orders. Finally my order came out after my eggs stood on counter getting cold. By now it was 12:00pm. This is by far the worst iHop I have been to. All they said was sorry, no comp at all. A manager needs to address these behavior and reconsider the incompetent cook or rep who inputs orders. I've been to several restaurants in NYC trying to support them during these crazy times. I must say NONE have followed the guidelines and made me feel as safe as this location. I am so pleasantly surprised. From the very beginning you can see the tremendous effort that is put into keeping everyone safe. The waiting area is very well managed, you're offered individually wrapped plastic wear or table wear. The tables are constantly cleaned and social distancing is strictly followed. I called to place an order for pick up and asked if I could get Butter pecan syrup. The female told me yes. I continue to order a big steak omelet and asked for pancakes she said it came with it. I said ok, can I have two salsa sauces and butter pecan syrup? She said yeah, I continued to order the rest of my 3 orders and asked for the syrup again and the female said ok ok. Now I go all the way over there and I asked did she put the syrup she said we don't have it and I said you do because you told me so on the phone. After waiting 10 mins for two caps of syrup I get home to find that not only did I NOT get the pancake's that supposedly came with my order as I was told but I also didn't get the salsa sauce. I normally have a bad experience when I go to this location (white plains rd and bruckner blvd) whether I dine in or take out so I usually will drive up to the jackson ave (yonkers) IHOP but today I was being lazy, and once again they reminded me why I DON'T EAT HERE!! PEOPLE CAN'T DO A SIMPLE TASK CAUSE THEY DONT WANT TO BE THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE. STAY HOME IF YOU DONT WANT TO WORK STOP GIVING PEOPLE BAD EXPERIENCES. After 45 minutes of waiting the waiting area it was still crowded after a few customers walked out complaining about waiting for over a half hour. Is just crazy the place literally have 16 people and 5 of the booth that are by the window are open and they tell thats for a party of 3 people or more but all the people that are seating on those booth are couple (2 people).
