Looking for an IHOP as we drove thru SLC and found this one. Good food and prices were reasonable.

We had a very pleasant breakfast. We were greeted and sat right away. Our orders were taken as soon as we were ready and our food came out pretty quickly and everything was cooked to our satisfaction. I wish I'd gotten our waitresses name. I called ahead, the day before my school group was to arrive, and when the 17 of us got there we were told they didn't know we were coming, there wasn't enough staff to help us, and that they couldn't do tax exempt. All of these concerns had been mentioned the day before and I was told everything would be fine. Teen when I've eaten here with just a couple of people the service is slow and unattentive. THis Ihop has to be the worst that we have ever been too. use to come here around 10 years ago and it was the same way and we quit going there and again this morning we were there with a group of 6. everyone looked at us and went back to chatting with each other for another 5 minutes before someone came over to greet us. they finally sat us down and it was 15 minutes before the waitress even came over to ask us about drinks. then she would disappear when she finally came with our drinks she couldnt remember what drinks she had and was sticking her nose in them to see if she can smell the difference. we drank one of the drinks and it had a cherry flavor in it which was the wrong one and it took her another 5 minutes to bring back another one. we were there well over an hour before even getting our food. we hardly seen the waitress and she never came over to ask how our food was. worst service. will never go back to this IHOP again read more

Man. I feel bad for the guy that was working here the Sunday of Labor Day weekend 9/1/2019. We had spent all day at Lagoon and we were so excited for some dinner on our way home. It was about 11pm, and it looked like about 4 other families had the same game plan. We drove by the IHOP because their lights were off. WHAT! I guess they didn't want anyone stopping in. This could be because they had ONE person working. ONE! This guy was all over the place trying to make people happy. Ordered online using one of their current promotions. They have some great online BOGO promotions right now. My order was not ready at my pickup time, a backlog in the kitchen, but this was not an issue. They were great and let me know as soon as I got there about the longer wait. I only waited about 15 additional minutes. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Got their jalapeño bacon burger, one of my favorites, never been disappointed with it. It's got a nice kick to it and if you like heat definitely worth a try. The staff was attentive and overall exemplified great customer service. read more

Today my Walt and I came back to have breakfast and was delighted to find new items on the menu. There's new crepes with a sweetened cream cheese and fruit ....it's sooooo good! I got the orange sections and strawberries, there were two crepes and believe it or not was plenty! The flavor and texture of the whole dish was lovely and tasty Not too sweet either. Slow service. Came in for a mid-morning breakfast and place was less than half full. Friendly greeter and server but not sure if this location just chooses to staff lightly but it seemed like we spent a lot of time waiting, waiting, waiting. Too bad as the food was better than average and as I said, the wait staff was nice. Horrible experience. Came here with my family. We were literally the first people in for breakfast. Sat for over an hour before our meals started coming out one at a time. 26 minutes after the first plate my 12 year old that had only ordered a classic 5 stack of pancakes had not received his plate. They brought out the wrong plate of food. Mom ended up giving here plate to the the 10 year old. Mom then had to pull a classic Karen and ask for the manager. The pancakes were In the window and were cold. The people that were sat by us after us, were served and finished before we had received a 5 stack of pancakes. What is the point of having a meal together when everyone eats alone? Did not refill drinks or coffee, poor service, cold food, wrong orders. We were told they were short handed. This is simply a management issue. Unfortunately there is not a negative star. Will not return. read more

My first time going to this iHop and I won't ever be going back. We were seated next to the window and were waiting a while to get our food, seemed they weren't staffed enough which is understandable. I realized there was a bug on the back of my boyfriend's hoodie, I flicked it off but turned and look behind us and there were bugs crawling around the window seal and above the seats. There were dead bugs squished in between the lining of the benches and the more I looked the more I just couldn't stand it seeing them everywhere. I don't understand how the workers can see anything like that and still be fine to serve customers. Obviously they don't clean. We asked to move seats and when we finally got our food it was mid, I honestly lost my appetite especially when I thought I found bug in my food, but it could have just been some burnt food that looked like a bug lol. It was really gross. I don't ever make reviews, but I feel like I needed to put this out there. Don't eat here if you want to feel like you're eating in a sanitary environment! read more

Worst customer service ever. Went with the family got a side of fries just to get, literally like 10 fries. When asked they said that's the correct portion. Than I had to ask for every single thing that they should know. Waiters never came by to ask if needed anything and the plus was empty now I know why. Never go here. Poor service. read more

Stopped in yesterday for a quick breakfast. Waited for nearly 10 minutes at the front desk before anyone noticed me. Seated at a filthy booth and waited another 15 minutes before the waitress noticed me. When I asked her if anyone was assigned to my booth, she nastily replied, "I'll get to you when I can." I ordered a quick-2-egg breakfast and the hash browns came burned to a crisp. I couldn't even cut through them with a knife! Horrible. When the waitress brought the bill, she said, weakly, "Sorry about the wait", apparently hoping for a big tip. While I signed the bill, two arrivals got hugs from the bitch waitress...they get hugs, I get crap service. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE. We ordered food and it didn't come in a timely manner, we were there for almost 2 hours. When it came, they gave 3/4 of us our food, and then asked if we got everything when clearly someone didn't have food in front of them. When we asked for her food, she quickly left before we finished speaking and brought our food one small plate at a time. While we were eating she completely ignored us. One word summarizes my experience yesterday - disgusting!!!! I have never been so disgusted at a level of service and food as I was last night at this location. We should have left after it took more than 15 minutes for anybody to offer to seat is, despite one blonde waitress seeing us (and another group) standing up front and ignoring 3 times. But sadly we stayed and thankfully were seated in a different section than that awful blonde waitress. Our waitress was nice, but the food took more than 30 minutes to come out and when it did it was luke warm. Our eggs, which should have been scrambled, were fried eggs over-cooked, then cut and mixed together to mimic scrambled eggs. The chicken fried steak was too hard to eat and the gravy was congealed with a film on top. The hash browns, if possible, were the most offensive and tasted like they had been stirred in cooking spray and then put on the plate - they were that cold! The only thing worth eating more than a bite of was the pancakes. I will not be back to this location and may not return to any other IHop for a very long time. read more

It is what you'd expect it to be: sugery sweet breakfast options with token efforts at branching out, staff who fall into one of two buckets - inexperienced or jaded and an odd crowd any time of day. The food was good, stuffed french toast and crepe combo and the service was prompt. The next table over was looked like some sort of goofy Breakfast Club remake including a broken glass and bad humor that the waitress was kind enough to laugh at. Came here with the kids for a late breakfast/brunch and of course they immediately noticed the new seasonal Grinch menu. My daughter - who loves The Grinch - wanted the Mt. Crumpet kids meal which (in pictures all over the restaurant, including on our table) showed green pancakes with what appeared to be whipped cream, heart candies, and a dollop of green whipped cream on top. What she got was green pancakes with a lot of very thick icing on top, colorful sprinkles instead of hearts, and white whipped cream instead of green. Try giving that to a 4 year old who had her heart set on heart candies! Fortunately we've really been pounding in the "you get what you get and you don't throw a fit" so she stopped just short of crying about it, but come on IHOP, that is completely false advertising and it's twice as bad when you do it to children. Not only that, I took a bite of the pancake and almost choked on all the thick icing on top. She said she had a stomach ache afterward. Also, the restaurant was almost empty and our food came out very slowly and was cold when we got it, so there was that too. Wow! Compared to the IHOP near my house this place is a delight. Not only is this place clean, but the staff is friendly and helpful. It adds to the dining experience. I need to consider coming here more often even though it is a bit of a drive to get here. read more

When we arrived only the north side of the restaurant had approximately 6 customers already seated. You would think with limited patrons that service would be reasonable. The waitress, Alexis, was not timely in filling drinks and not attentive to customer needs. When requests were made for items she was not responsive or we had to make a second/third requests. ALMOST felt like we were over reacting until checking out another customer had the same complaint. So fair to say that lack of customer service is truly a reason not to visit this location again or hire better waitresses. Normally do not post but if not addressed then at least sharing our experience will deter people from visiting an establishment that has lackluster waitresses like Alexis! Not impressed. IHOP over to another establishment that treats customers like they appreciate their business. read more

In short, this is the best IHOP I've ever been to, (and I've been to my fair share of them). The service was friendly and polite and clean! (Which you wouldn't think is a notable feature, but at other IHOPs I've found it lacking.) The food was the best quality I've had at IHOP; everything fresh and warm and cooked perfectly. The restaurant itself was clean and well kept with no signs of neglect. I saw nothing broken or dirty. Great job to this establishment! Stopped here for breakfast this morning... benefit of the doubt --- they may have been short handed??? Everything was slow... from being seated, to taking our order to getting our food. I ordered the western scramble which was only scrambled eggs with cheese and some hash browns... it really a scramble at all. Very disappointing. I've been to IHOP many times and the service is usually great, but today's visit was disappointing. The girl was the only server when we got there and took our orders. When the food came, I was missing part of my meal and asked about it. She immediately went back and ordered it, but never brought it out. We waited about 10 minutes before we asked again and she told us she'd bring it out, but never did (again). We finally reminded her one more time after about 30 minutes since we initially asked and she went back to grab it. This IHOP is a joke. I love their pancakes with butter pecan syrup so their food is consistently good, however, the service at the Centerville location is TERRIBLE. Today is the last straw. I will never go back. It's Saturday morning with only two servers...again. The line to be seated goes out the door then the Manager tells the receptionist to stop seating tables until more customers leave. Despite the fact that there are several open tables. This happened more than once when I've visited this location. They simply don't know what "customer service" is all about. I feel so bad for the servers. They are working hard but trying to do it alone just doesn't work. I'll find another place with great pancakes or go to another IHOP location in the future. Good riddance Centerville IHOP! read more

I will only give two stars for my server and the food itself... Our server Danyette or something similar, she was amazing! I liked her personality and she was doing her best to make sure our experience was amazing! I'd go in again if I could get her as my server! She was very friendly and attentive! Food was great! This place has really gotten better with their food, not as bland as I can once remember, everything came out hot and perfectly cooked! But they need to do something about the management at least the manager that was on duty when we came in yesterday 06/21/2021.. I believe her name was Jessica, she had such a poor attitude and the poor lady who was serving us was all alone while this manager just watched her run around the whole restaurant and then went in the kitchen for who knows how long! It was closer to close but this woman needs to fix her attitude! After we left the restaurant we sat in our car for a while trying to figure out what we wanted to do next or if it was time to just go home then I heard her yell at the other workers when she was the one not doing anything our entire visit! My amazing server and what I can assume was the cook or something were outside just talking and probably getting fresh air from being in the hot building all night. We saw them go out there for maybe 3-5 minutes before this lady was yelling at them again! Good food, great server! But this manager needs to go. I can't imagine how miserable she is to work with when she can't seem to do anything besides get mad at these people for going on their quick breaks for fresh air!
