I use to work hospitality so I try to give more grace on the little things. Sirloin Tips and Eggs w/ Pancakes- One of my fave classics here, left me a bit disappointed. I asked for medium/medium rare and that came out fine. However, the meat itself was pale and lacking the vibrant sauté char and taste. Hashbrowns and eggs were on the less warm side, almost cold. First off, this location was dirty. Walking in, the glass doors were covered in smeared handprints so thick you could barely see inside. That should have been the first red flag. While we were being seated, we noticed filthy floors, window sills with layers of dust, and several empty but dirty tables. Second red flag. We were then seated right next to a group of about 15 people, which made it hard to even have a conversation at our own table -- especially frustrating because there was plenty of open seating in other areas. Third red flag. Our waitress was friendly, but she was clearly having a conflict with another employee and discussed the drama with coworkers while serving us. When our food came out, we had no silverware and waited quite a while before it was finally brought to the table. I am not sure how the owner or whoever manages this place allows for rude, careless workers with terrible personalities to work there. Today we walked in & barely greeted. When we were following the lady to our seats we asked if we could sit in a a booth and she said you can't and proceeded to sit us. Of course, with that attitude we immediately said no we will wait, thank you. Once we were given a booth it seems that the waiter/waitress wondered why they put us in their area as if it were an issue so we just left and we weren't the only ones. The only positive thing I can say about this place is that (some) of the staff are friendly. Otherwise everything else is horrible. Everything takes so long even just getting water after being seated. Orders are consistently messed up, even people sitting near us had their orders incorrect. The last time we came here I heard a manager speaking to the customer next to us who had his order brought incorrectly twice and even the manager seemed so flustered speaking to the customer. The portions, quality, and presentation of the food is all terrible. Today I took my children to this Ihop to spend some quality time with them. We sat down at around 11:30 and were not greeted for about 10 minutes. We gave our drink order. I ordered blue lemonade, 2 orange juices, and a cookies and cream milkshake. At this point a large party was seated behind us, roughly 11 or more guests and the waitress was already bringing them drinks........... our waiter finally brought our drinks, although the milkshake was melted, and took our food order. We did not notice how much time had passed because we started to play tic tac toe to pass the time......... the large party behind us started to receive their food and at this point I became very confused, so I went to the front hostess and asked to speak to a manager to which she rolled her eyes. Looked wonderful/ Smelled Great/ It covered the whole plate it was so large but It was missing one thing I don't know about you but I like it when I have enough of the ingredients in the dish to cover the whole meal. The French Toast we ordered was very dry. It did not look like your normal french toast, it was just two pieces of bread. My daughter took one bite and was unable to eat the rest of it. I only visited this location once before the pandemic. Since they have a new reward program, I figured to try it again. This location has many more workers than before, which is normally a good sign. I had eggs, turkey bacon, hash browns and pancakes. First the hash browns were hard at the top, and a little soft underneath. The turkey bacon was very thinly sliced. The eggs and pancakes were fine. They have a new rewards program, and you have to submit a code from your receipt. They took that receipt away and returned with 2 other receipts with no code. I asked the server, and he replied that it was thrown away. Finally, the manager came by with another copy of the original receipt with the code. Unfortunately I personally wouldn't return to this location. It took over an hour to get our food when it was crazy busy. Our waiter was not very attentive and we had to constantly remind him of what we ordered. After 45 minutes of waiting for our food we asked for an update on our food to then have to wait another 5-10 minutes for two plates. I constantly saw waiters just standing at the register or inside kitchen talking rather then attending their tables. Even to the bill it took longer then usual. I have been to this location a small handful of times and it has always been fairly mediocre for sure, but today (10/8/23) was super exceptional!! My boyfriend and I ate here because of my boyfriend attempting a gluten free diet and we just wanted somewhere where he could be easily accommodated. We went to this IHOP after church and had the absolute BEST waitress EVER!!! I believe her name is Lucia (?), but she had gorgeous bright red hair and she is seriously the sweetest server I have ever had anywhere! She is what made our experience amazing and I couldn't thank her enough for her amazingly positive attitude and caring service! From her warm greeting, to her wonderful offers of things I wouldn't normally ask for (ex: lemons for our waters and a togo drink at the end), she is such a joy and I would definitely go back just for her top notch service!
