I emailed Matt on Wednesday evening. He responded promptly. He was out to my property the following…read moremorning. We discussed my concerns with regard to tree removal and stump grinding. Matt was professional, courteous and respectful of my needs and cognizant of the need to determine where my utilities were situated! We agreed on a plan and he and his crew will be back out within the week to remove some trees! Update with photos to follow... 5 days later and Matt & his team arrive on time and ready to work. I watched the crew set up and get started. All of my utilities were protected and remained so upon completion. Not one man was without "something" to do. It was like watching a symphony that was perfectly executed! Each man knew his part and each one was busy from the get go! Not once did any of them stop for longer than 10 minutes (separately) to choke down a quick bite to eat around lunchtime. They arrived at 7:30 am and the first cut was made at 7:54. Work began with a huge Laurel Oak with a base measuring 5 1/2' across! Piece by piece the crew began topping the limbs, slowly lowering each one down by rope. While the tree topper was roping the next limb, 2 crewman and sometimes a third, began carving the lowered limb into manageable lengths which were subsequently picked up by the articulating Bobcat operator. As the driver pulled away to load the dump truck (4 of them), the next limb was safely on its way to the ground! This continued throughout the day with another Laurel Oak and finally a Maple tree. Stumps were ground down to below grade level. Every crewman followed up with lawn rakes and blowers to get the fallen tree debris picked up and returned to 'pristine condition.' Honestly, the team was pleasant, professional, hard working and handled the day's work harmoniously! I was presented the invoice which reflected the amount that Matt (the Owner) and I agreed to. I paid the crew's foreman, Mitchell and asked him to thank everyone for the work completed! First Choice Tree Service is a "MUST CALL" company if one is thinking about having one's trees trimmed properly! Give them a call. You won't be disappointed! They are prompt, courteous, professional, safe and reputable! Oh, yeah, Very Reasonable Pricing for the work performed. I know; I watched them the entire day from start to finish! They left after a few hours leaving all of their tools scattered around the driveway. it seems that the man that was in the trees got unhappy and left the job. A second crew showed up one or two days later. They too were sent off the job because of bad workmanship. A third crew arrived and decimated an old oak that was a major, dramatic feature of our house. They were told by me and the first manager that came to look at the job that the was not to be touched. Our very expensive tree lighting was also disturbed and broken. They fixed one fixture but when dealing with the others they broke they refused to replace them or reimburse me for having them fixed. They charged a great deal of money and were completely paid.

Up until recently never had a bad experience and always left thinking about what would be next on the list! However, just had my first bad experience after 20+ years very recently. Involved a written quote obtained while in their office regarding the specifics of the job, and after the service was completed - I was yelled at and cursed on a phone call afterwards - a proposed 50% a increase in price was demanded for the job completed. Legal action was threatened if I did not comply. Ironically - less items on the list were completed and manpower present had decreased from 3 to 2 workers. Reason - that their written quote had been wrong - only discovered after the job was finished and the crew had left. Long story short, won't go back ever. Payment based on original written quote - sent.

I accepted the bid and scheduled the work. There was a considerable wait but that only speaks to the work they do. On the scheduled date they were there at the stated time and within a short time had the tree down and the area cleared. Very pleased and will be using them in the future.

I contacted arbor tech regarding tree, trimming and futuristic removal of another tree on our…read moreproperty. Within an hour of contacting arbor tech, Al arrived at our residence. Al was very courteous and knowledgeable and had some great ideas and advice with fair prices. We scheduled a date for the work to be performed in a little over two weeks. There were some obstacles on our part that had to be moved for better access to our areas of tree trimming. Unfortunately, that date came and went and I had no contact either by phone or in person from any representative of arbor tech. This does not surprise me as dependability is not that common anymore. just wanted to share my involvement with arbor tech as it did not have a positive outcome.
