This is my favorite place to go for piercings. They were able to correct my too-shallowly pierced daiths (that were done in Nampa, not by Ikon). Jeanelle did a fantastic job. All their piercers are super friendly. I'm waiting to have my Medusa piercing redone as well - as it was slightly off center the first time - again, effed up by the same place in Nampa on 12th that I vow to never go to again! I got my bellybutton done on a whim last year, was super painful from the get go. I kept it in for a couple months until I barely had a shred of skin left, now I have a huge disgusting scar. A few months ago a friend of mine was getting a tattoo here, I though I would get my tragus pierced since my ears usually heal easily, thinking it would go better than my bellybutton. Now, my ear is in extreme pain, I had to remove the piercing and I have ANOTHER disgusting scar. I am someone not super familiar with piercings and tattoos, so I thought it would be fine to get both of my piercings done anywhere. Save your money, go somewhere that cares. These people only want to get you in and out and take your cash; they don't care about you, your piercing, or if it heals. Again DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT AN INFECTION AND TO BE OUT 50 BUCKS. Do not get pierced here! Especially if it's in a place with a higher risk... The jewelry they use is disgustingly cheap. My friend got their nipples pierced here and they were infected for months. He got the jewelry changed out elsewhere (that sells better quality jewelry) and they healed within days... I had my snakebites done here and the swelling wouldn't go down. I went to Imperial where they informed me how bad the jewelry was. The aftercare instructions I was given from Ikon were incorrect and would have caused further damage if I'd followed them. The piercings themselves weren't even close to being symmetrical. I had my piercer tell me about how he began his practice by piercing homeless people for free... Without access to proper aftercare treatment their piercings are bound to become infected. They aren't there for you to experiment on. read more

I went because it was my friends first tattoo and she wanted me to go with and get one together. Tattooer didn't talk at all. I went to Ikon to get a dermal in my face on my cheekbone completely aware of the normal risks of rejection from a dermal. What I got was a shallow placed anchor and the biggest piece of jewelry I have ever seen on a dermal, and there was always a noticeable gap between my skin and the jewelry. As it was supposed to be healing I started to get a red ring around it. I cleaned it multiple times a day and tried to save it. Due to the size of the jewelry they put on it and the shallowness of the anchor it got infected and began noticeably rejecting. I went to a shop and got the jewelry removed where I then showed her the pictures of how it initially looked and she helped me to better understand that it was never done right in the first place. At this point I went to the doctor and got some antibiotics, within the next week the anchor completely rejected out of my face, along with this being painful it left me with a large scar on my face. I only had it for 3 and a half months. read more

I went as a walk in for a nose piercing earlier this month and ended up paying WAY more than I should have. I have gotten atleast 6 piercings here by Janelle who is great and I've always had a good experience with her. Unfortunately this time I went it was super awkward waiting in the waiting area because of how unwelcoming the staff was... the piercing was fine but when it came time to pay I gave my piercer a $100 and asked if he could break it for me. He handed me back $30, I left because I was in a hurry after waiting for so long and needing to be somewhere. Later I realized that my piercer had taken a $10 tip for himself since the piercing was only supposed to be $60 and he had kept $70 and that was after I had already given him a $15 tip. First and foremost, if you get a tatto at this place, (which earned the one star for cleanliness and fun art books to look at while waiting) do NOT let Jake do it. He completely screwed up our incredibly simple, minimal designs. When my husband and I showed up and he told us to head downstairs and have a few drinks while we waited, we should have known better and just left. Isn't it a number one rule NOT to drink alcohol before getting a tattoo? When we eventually came back and he was sterilizing his workspace, he chatted us up about how he grew up on a mink farm and could skin a mink or a cat within 2 minutes. I'm an animal lover and was instantly sickened by him. Then he proceeded to pull out his handgun from a drawer and brag about how whenever the neighbors needed a dog put down, they would call him and added that one time, he shot a whole litter of unwanted puppies. By now, I'm repulsed to the core by this person. Then he tells his friend to go grab his shotgun out of his truck so he could show us that. By the way, in no way shape or form had we expressed any interest in guns. We don't have a problem with guns, but we're there for a tattoo, not to watch him try to prove his manhood by showing us all his weapons. The friend brings up a sawed off shotgun and hands it to my husband. Then Jake says "Oh, be careful. It's loaded." Seriously WHAT THE ACTUAL $#*&?!!!! Then he sets the loaded gun on a little shelf and says "I'm just going to keep that right there." Sometime before that he had also mentioned that they get some pretty crazy people that walk in there sometimes late at night. By now every alarm and red flag is going off in my head, but we both really wanted to get our tattoos done and so, regretfully, we went ahead. Jake proceeds to royally murder our tattoos whilst stopping to puff on the questionable vape that his girlfriend brought him. Pretty sure from their convo that it was pot and he was high as a kite by the time he was done. Fast forward to the next day, the template ink wears off our skin and I can vividly see how erratic the size of the dots are and how unevenly spaced they are. I messaged him on IG and ask him to rate himself on a scale of 1-10 and he gives himself a 6. That is way too high in my opinion, but really, you're giving yourself a 6 on the work you did the day before?! Instead of offering to refund us and apologizing for doing shitty work, he says "I'm sorry YOU'RE not happy with it. Come in after it heals and we'll touch it up." This tattoo was supposed to be very minimal and adding more ink to it is not the solution. There is no way in hell I ever want to see that guy's face again, let alone let him touch me with a needle. I'll be asking the owner for a full refund as well as a refund for the money I'll have to spend laser removing this amateur shit that looks like a 12 year old did it from my arm. Peace out. I'll be shopping for some chunky wrap bracelets to cover this mess up for the next 6 months until I can get it removed. read more

i hate leaving bad reviews but i had really high hopes for this place, i went to get a septum and i was able to get it the same day i called which was nice, the vibe seemed nice, and the guy who pierced my septum seemed nice, but it was the worst pain i've ever felt (which i thought was normal at the time but apparently most people's septum's don't hurt that bad). i really liked the piercing, my piercer admitted it was slightly crooked and offered to fix it some other time (i declined because it wasn't noticeable to me but i appreciated the offer, it's been about 5 months and it's no where near healed, i've cleaned it with the salt regiment i was given by my piercer but if i even slightly bonk my nose at time it's the most raging pain. i'm fairly certain he pierced my cartilage and what makes it worse is i think my piercer knew me he messed up but downplayed it by saying it was "slightly crooked" so i've finally taken that god forsaken septum out and will probably get it redone at imperial read more

I'm actually shocked there are no reviews for Ikon yet! This place is great! I made a last-minute decision to get my nose pierced and had to find somewhere open until at least 8 o'clock, as I worked beforehand. (Why is that so hard to find on a weekday in this town??) I called ahead to check the pricing ($40 which including jewelry, pretty much the industry standard) and make sure I could walk-in after work. Jordan told me he might still be working on a tattoo, but to pop in and he would take care of me. I got there just after 7 to find Jordan there alone, which meant no waiting! I filled out some paperwork and climbed into the chair. He had me double check the placement and explained his reasoning when I questioned it. Since it was my face, he offered to move it, but what he said made sense so I went with the professional opinion. This was my 10th piercing, although all my other ones are on my ears, so I'm pretty used to the "deep breath in.. and out" routine. Jordan did a great job of walking my through it and was super friendly. Great customer service, fair prices, and awesome work. I will be back! read more

I've been reading alot about Daith piercing for migraines and since I've been suffering from migraines for over 20 years, I thought I would give it a try. Jay was professional, friendly and helpful and told me he had a 100% success rate as far as curing migraines. I'm all in with that. Migraines suck. Now I'm a big wimp. My mother had to drag me to get my ears pierced when I was 16 years old. And that was the last piercing I've ever done. Now I'm 49 and I'm going to get my daith pierced?! Plus, my mom is going to kill me! Ha ha! So he went ahead and did the piercing. I can't really explain the feeling of how it felt. It was more like pressure than pain. It kind of felt like he was squeezing my ear. I felt a little woozy for a minute or two and wasn't sure if I could do the second one, but then calmed down and decided to do it. The second one I hardly felt at all. What I noticed, though, was an immediate relief of the pressure in my head. My head always feels like I'm flying in an airplane. My ears pop continually, and I have a slight pressure in my head, that if I can't get it to release, turns into a migraine that sends me to the hospital or to bed for three days. My BFF said that he noticed instant relief on my face. I felt it too. Here it is about a week later. I haven't had a migraine, although I still do have some pressure in my head. So I'm not going to say that my migraines are 100% cured. What I do say is that it relieved some pressure, and it's been a big relief. So anyone who suffers from migraines I say that this piercing is worth a try. It has definitely helped me. And the piercings aren't noticeable either. I bet my mom will never find out! :) read more

I went into Ikon to get my ears pierced because the other place i go to was closed. All good reviews so I was excite. The help and the people were amazing but I only got my second and third piercings done on my ear lobes and it was 100$. I thought the worked looked good and was thinking it was going to be nice jewelry. NOPE. my left ear look good and my right one is uneven. Instead of a needle they used the earring and out butterfly backs on them so getting two new peircings on ear i really can't sleep on them because it feels like there is a pound on metal on my ears. I tried removing the backs to put the rubber ones on and i cannot get them off and scared to pull to hard to pull out my earring and not be able to get it back in and now i have to wait for them to heal.
