Two were Justin's artwork, designed after consulting with us: a griffin launching off a rock in the ocean (took 3 hours to tattoo), and a set of specific flowers (magnolia, sunflower, borage, and chamomile) growing from a port scar (1 hour). One was created from custom artwork of our own (30 minutes, and it came out completely true to the original drawing). I won't lie, there are varying levels of pain involved, but Justin put us at ease and helped us get through it. And it's totally worth it. Our 17yo kid found devotion, having searched extensively for a shop with talented artists and impeccable safety/hygiene practices. I called thinking I would need to make an appointment to see Simon (he is the owner so I figured he was super busy) but instead they handed Simon the phone. After sharing with him what my sister and I were envisioning, he said to stop by the shop at any point to give him some mock up ideas. I couldn't believe how readily available he was and how much he wanted to help. As soon as you walk in to his shop you could feel how clean and organized it was. I made the mistake of going elsewhere for my nose (nostril) piercing in November 2021. I developed a bump that wouldn't go away for MONTHS. I went back to the place I got the piercing multiple times for help, and little did I know the recommendations they were giving me were harmful to my skin. Fast forward to March 2022 -- I go to my doctor because I'm so discouraged, and we realized that the material of the piercing was NOT implant grade, and therefore has nickel and is an irritant to most skin types (like why would you even offer this?!). AND it was a corkscrew piercing which is just painful (I didn't know any better!!). I went to Sam based on reviews, and she gave me hope that I could keep my nose piercing. She helped me pick a piercing that I could customize, explained the science and reasoning behind piercing care, and was kind enough to give me her card to text any additional questions and to come back in. Now, two weeks later my bump is almost entirely gone and I love my new piercing so much! I have major regrets that I didn't go to Sam in the first place - it would have saved me so money and prevented so much anxiety and stress.
