The staff speaks English well and making a reservation on the phone also was no problem. A kit with one-time use flipflops, underwear (and bra) and towel is included, you do have to pay 10 Euros though for the stylish black scrub mitten, which you get to keep afterwards to use at home. I have been to a other very fancy hammam before which was huge so this was very small compared. The overall atmosphere is nice, everything is super clean and lit nicely. The downside is, it's very small and there was only one masseuse so everyone kind of had to "wait in line". You first warm up on a hot stone seat, then you shower, steam room, jacuzzi, repeat. After doing 3 rounds of this for an hour we got kind of bored. Finally it was our turn but then again, my significant other had to wait until I was finished with my massage. We did get the regular washing and scrubbing along with a Rassoul massage which left the skin super smooth. All in all it was a nice experience with super friendly staff but kind of small and a little long for being in a small confined space like that. We did go home very relaxed though and and had a great night's sleep.

The heart of the structure is an ancient chappel which emanates soothing energies throughout the rebuilt monastery. Whoever conceived this project achieved a balance of grandeur, mystical encounter and a glimpse to how roman and turqiush baths most have looked like. The offering of the treatments is based on herbs which of course are grown and procesed in situ. We didnt know how good it is to lay on a fresh hay bed, sorrounded with herbs hanging either freshly gathered or in drying process. The impresion that we got as we entered the meditation space was that of entering an ancient temple to be purified in body and soul. After a routine of 2, 3 hours and stabilizing the body, we took long walks in these quiet hills with pure air and always return to the simple chapel to be embraced by the mistery. What stared as a romantic getaway ended in a kind of mystical union of souls. The people that tend the place have something of a monastic touch altough they look like regular people. There is a plus besides de good service, the kindness and care: I realized it was a kind of strong presence. You can not miss this one. On your way down you can always visit the lovely city of Assisi.

We stayed in the villa which had perfect wifi, nice bedroom sizes (bed kinda felt like a cot though) and a kitchen with cookware/utensils/wine glasses etc. We had dinner here one night where I had my favorite gnocchi of the whole trip (melts in your mouth) and their breakfast spread was really delicious with cheese, meats, and the freshest juiciest tomatoes I've ever had. Besides all of these wonderful features, the price was also unbeatable. Unfortunately, we weren't prepared for the curvy roads and we had rented a huge SUV (Italy is not made for big cars!!), so that made our stay more stressful than it had to be because I feared anytime we had to drive / leave the premises for the winery, dinner etc. The staff was unbelievably generous and understanding when we adjusted our plans to only stay 2 rather than 4 nights, and we could not be more grateful. We were sad to leave because the villa was the perfect size for our group of 5, and the hotel was perfect besides the distance from our plans / roads. I'd recommend staying here if you are looking to relax and stay on premises for most of the weekend; it has a very quiet, homey bed+breakfast feel that we loved.

Very windy, blind turns and narrow. Oh and the locals drive quickly. Because of our fears of having a head on collision we left the hotel earlier than expected. The owners/managers were very accommodating to the unexpected change. They handled the situation perfectly. The hotel its self was everything I would of wanted in a Tuscany stay. The most beautiful views, great food and very nice room. We stayed in the villa in the back of the building. 2 floors, with 3 potential beds, it was really nice and comfortable. The pool area was very clean, very pretty and a nice size pool. The restaurant at the hotel was one of our favorite meals we had. Limited selection of food but a changing menu (daily), they want you to order ahead of time, and they have 3 course or 4 course option. We were not that hungry and only ordered 2-3 courses per person and they adjusted the price accordingly. Another amazing job by management. If you are brave enough for the roads and don't mind driving 1 hr + to any of the highlights of Tuscany this hotel is more than a treat.
