I went to this place a couple years ago and to this day, I think about how guilty the salonist made me feel. It was my first time getting my hair colored and the color I wanted wasn't sticking to my hair as it was supposed to. I have pretty dark hair that looks almost black for reference. The salonist asked me over and over if I had ever colored my hair and multiple times I had stated no, this is my first time. But it seemed they didn't believe me and I felt very frustrated because why would I lie about my hair like that? It was pretty busy the day I went and the vibe at the time felt very chaotic. The color I wanted stuck for a few days (I had to go back a second time to get it recolored) and then it washed away and I ended up cutting the colored ends because I didn't like how it looked and was scared to go back. It was nice of them to not charge me the second time I went but I've been pretty scared to get my hair colored since then and don't think I'd do it again. I got a haircut with a gentleman named Frank. I asked him how much for ak haircut and he said $40 includes wash. While cutting my hair I didn't notice much difference so I asked him to cut it shorter. Then I noticed one side was longer than the other. After a few time asking him to fix it he finally got it right. When it was time to pay I was charged $85! They said it was because he blow dried my hair although it wasn't a service I had requested. Honestly I thought he was doing it to be sure my hair was cut evenly since I had to ask him a few times to fix it. But I realized it was for him to charge me. As much as I wanted to argue the price I paid it but be aware that they add services not requested without your permission. The haircut I did like but I go to a place that only charges $35 and doesn't add on services not requested. Unfortunately it was closed today and I was in a mood for a haircut. read more

Leone hair studio has the worse employee. They are cutting your hair like professionals and they don't have a clue what they are doing. Every time you go they always have different employees . I went with my sister they charged us $65 just to cut our tips. My sister already had her hair straight and they still charge her for it. I can't believe I didn't find this place before!!! Leo and his whole staff are amazing. They make you feel so welcomed and they are flawless at what they do. Upon entering the salon I was welcomed by a friendly and smiley guy, Oscar, he offered me something to drink and said they had mimosas- Wow, sold! First impressions count and I knew I would love this place already. I came here for a haircut after having a few bad experiences with my last hairstylist. A few friends had recommended Il Leone hair salon and I am so glad I finally came. My hair was so damaged from coloring it and some other crazy stuff I have done, and it had no shape whatsoever! Leo was able not only to fix it and give me a great haircut but he also applied some products and recommended some treatments for my next visits. His attention to detail with the haircut was impecable, and he was super charming! I could have spent my whole afternoon chatting with this guys. I was extremely pleased with the end results and I will definitely come back and recommend them to all of my friends! Couldn't asked for a better experience getting my hair done I had dark brown and want to go lighter. I have been disappointed so many times before that I have to confess I was very skeptical. As I'm explaining to the owner what I want Joanna jumped in and gave her words of wisdom so did another hair stylist also gave her opinion which was well received. I can't explain how happy I'm with the results. I felt so well taking care off and the final job was beyond my expectations. Btw the hair cut was also an A+. I've paid over $50 for a hair style that doesn't came close to what I got. Joanna thanks for been patient and for taking the time to explain the process and for being honest and efficient. Love the prices but most of all they do a great job. They wash your hair, cut and blow dry for $35.00 what a deal by the way don't forget it depends on the length of your hair. I was in desperate need of getting my hair done. It was so messed up I had like 4 different colors going on it was a nightmare. I made an appointment and went it. I was greeted with a warm smile then meet with the stylist Guillermo. At first I was scared because he didn't speak any English and I don't speak any Spanish but Stephanie the receptionist did an amazing job of translating. Guillermo took such good care of my hair because how of how badly damaged it was. He was able to achieve almost what I unwanted it but I need 1 more session to achieve it. He was able to that with little damage as possible. I didn't care because I was getting it cut anyway. Over all I am super satisfied with my hair. I will continue to go to him yes even though we can't communicate. Definitely 10/10. Oh and take cash with they are only accepting cash at the moment. read more

I was almost in tears when i got there and Jennifer fixed it up so well and sent me on my way. I committed that day to going nowhere else, ever. Fast forward to today when I'm in that plaza and have a bit of time, and a need for taming my drab mane. Evita KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK. I don't think I've EVER had someone take such time with my hair, and really listen to what I want. She is a gem, easy to talk to, and made me feel completely at ease. When I left, I LOOKED AND FELT like I'd been to a spa. Even the tension I carry in my face was gone. Thank you for giving me some of my youth back, Evita, I am now committed to you for life! I feel bad to leave a negative review because Nora does an amazing job cutting my husbands hair. He loves to go to her specifically. My issue is the last two times my husband has made an appointment at this salon for Nora she has been unavailable once we have gotten there. Both times we waited 30 minutes before the staff let us know she was too busy to cut his hair. This review in no way reflects her work but the salons scheduling system is horrible and it really shows no regard or respect for their clients time and schedules. We have other things going on in our lives and schedule our day around these appointments so it would be nice if the salon would be more efficient with their scheduling. read more

Run the other way. Got my haircut from Jovana, she literally took 10 minutes and it was totally uneven when I rechecked it in the car. My girlfriend got her hair done as well, a Keratin treatment and cut. They were so cheap about it they used very little product and took 1 hour for a 3 hour minimum job. 3 days and $300 later it looks like nothing was done. I called her back twice, left messages and texts, and finally she got back to me with her boss in the background and told me they couldn't refund me. Filthy place. Do not come here for a keratin treatment. Biggest waste of my money and time. She barely put any treatment in my hair. Next three days I didn't wash my hair and today I washed it and it came out just as curly as it was before. I have been getting keratin treatments where I live out of stars for 5 years now so I know exactly how it looks afterwards. It was as if I had never gotten a treatment. I made an appointment with a stylist at 10:30 got there 5 min before and they told me she was running late she will be getting there 11. so 11 came and the stylist never showed up so they gave me a different hair stylist, I had a light brown hair asked for a copper red. I was left with horrible orange roots and I had to tell her I was not happy so the owner told her to fix it to put a darker red so she did by this it was 2pm spend another hour for me to live with a cherry red roots and copper ends and all she told me was you just have to get use to the color I hate it and I'm going to have to fix it myself so disappointed because before I had a good impression of this place by the way I was charged 135 for this mess. read more

Terrible communication. On Monday I scheduled an appointment for today. I arrive early, and get seated in a chair. The person who comes up to the booth is a man- not necessarily an issue, but I tend to go to Salons/Hair Studios because they tend to employ more women and women tend to manage my hair better. However, my worries we're compounded when I realized my stylist did not know English. That being said, I did not want to make assumptions about his ability to cut hair, so I showed him a picture of what I wanted. He begins to cut, and with the first stroke of his scissors he had already cut it incorrectly. There was no turning back. I gritted my teeth and let him keep going. Anytime I told him he needed to do something differently, he would not understand and someone else had to come translate. This is a recipe for disaster in my opinion. A proper haircut requires communication, and there was practically none. The back was too short, the sides were far too short, and because he styled it up instead of down (the picture I showed had my hair down in the front) I couldn't tell that he left the front too long. I was going for more of a mullet look and now I look like if Justin Bieber from now and Bieber from 10 years ago had a baby. I did not give 1 star, as the cut itself was not horrendous- it was just nothing like what I asked for. Please, if your client doesn't speak fluent Spanish, don't give them a stylist that only speaks Spanish. read more

Very happy with my experience at II Leone Hair Studio. Javier was highly recommended by a friend and I was not disappointed at all. I moved to LA from AZ a year ago and had been struggling to find a good hair salon. I was so scared to try a new hair place that I didn't cut my hair for a year and my ends where completely dead. My hair was so bad that I could no longer run a comb through it. I called Leone and they took me in the same day. Not only is the service great but it is very very affordable.
