We had a pasta dish that was quite good, I don't recall the name of it and the menu isn't online but it said it was "typical Sardegnan". For our second dish we tried the grilled cuttlefish, small fish, and crustaceans plate which was good but overall not worth it. The portion size was fairly small and removing all the shells and bones was not worth the 28euro entree price. The restaurant also charged a 3euro service/cover fee per person, something I think you will probably find at most of these sea side restaurants. With all that said, the view was spectacular at sunset. You are paying a premium for it but you also get a pretty decent meal. The service was also fantastic and the staff was quite friendly. I don't regret dining here but I don't think the food was good enough to merit the price. I doubt you'll do better in the immediate area though.

Our hotel had a habit of liking to send us to their brother's, cousin's and sister's restaurants and always deterred us from going anywhere they didn't want us to by complaining about how far it was. On a map, Porto Rotondo said it was about 40-45 mins from Porto Cervo where we stayed but it was really a quick and beautiful 20-25 minute drive. Don't be dissuaded - it's worth the drive from anywhere in Costa Smeralda.

After getting seated, one of the hosts (not a manager, mind you) made it a point to come by & subtly let us know he made us a favor even though he wasn't the one we worked with directly. My friend, who was paying for the dinner, had a Crazy Rich Asian moment and ordered everything off the menu. Guess they got the hint. Here you will be able to enjoy GF pasta, pizza and bread! (If you mention that you will be needing GF when booking your table, the restaurant will be able to offer even more alternatives on the menu.) After having mentioned that I needed GF food the manager made sure that I got a pasta that was both GF and fodmap adjusted. What I received was a pasta cooked to perfection, placed inside a big bowl made of parmesan! I have honestly not had anything come close to this pasta dish before or after! The rest of my company had fish and pasta (non GF) and they were also amazed over the quality of the food they got. We did not have any room left for desserts, but did have their own brewed limoncello and grappa which both were real good. If you are to visit only one restaurant in Santa Teresa di Gallura as GF - make sure that it is this one or you will have missed out on some seriously good food!
