This is basically the new generation of "classic" Bologna restaurants. You'll find all the classics/favorites - gramigna, passatelli, tortellini/brodo, etc. - done extremely well, and fighting for attention with each other. The staff is, as expected, helpful, the wine list is quite good, and the mascarpone is off the charts (seriously). The bottom line here is that this is as good as anything else you're likely to find, and a heck of a lot more affordable to boot. Sooo, go!

The Tagliatelle Al Ragu was a solid dish with perfectly cooked noodles and a delicious ragu. The Cotoletta was very unnecessary since I was already full by this point but I figured I was on holiday and really wanted to try this scrumptious looking dish. And scrumptious it was! So good. The Panna Cotta was ideal to end the meal and it was very soft and not overly sweet. The staff were very friendly and helpful with the menu as well as a wine pairing suggestion. I was very satisfied with the suggested wine and had an overall fantastic dinner experience.

It was tasty, but not remotely worth the wait. Someone knocked over a glass, which broke on the floor. No one cleaned it up for 15 minutes. For reasons unknown, you have to take your bill to the front of the restaurant. Their credit card machine was conveniently "broken," so we had to pay in cash. I don't care how good your food is. I speak Italian but have a pretty thick regional Sicilian accent when I speak Italian. I wasn't speaking a dialect. I was trying to order a dish, and she cut me off and rudely told me she didn't understand me in English. I speak Italian better than she speaks English but carry on. I'm American for all intent and purpose, and I was with my family, who are Americans, but this stinky attitude toward foreigners of Italian descent is tiresome. They sit you in the back room and the ambience is fairly casual. We tried a couple of pasta dishes with wine. And then had the pavlova dessert. I wish we could've tried more pasta.
