This is basically the new generation of "classic" Bologna restaurants. You'll find all the classics/favorites - gramigna, passatelli, tortellini/brodo, etc. - done extremely well, and fighting for attention with each other. The staff is, as expected, helpful, the wine list is quite good, and the mascarpone is off the charts (seriously). The bottom line here is that this is as good as anything else you're likely to find, and a heck of a lot more affordable to boot. Sooo, go!

Sooo tasty and satisfying especially when paired with the provided pickled veggies and other side. The Tortellini Soup was subtly savory and so warm and cozy to eat. The Tagliatelle Al Ragu was a solid dish with perfectly cooked noodles and a delicious ragu. The Cotoletta was very unnecessary since I was already full by this point but I figured I was on holiday and really wanted to try this scrumptious looking dish. And scrumptious it was! So good. The Panna Cotta was ideal to end the meal and it was very soft and not overly sweet. The staff were very friendly and helpful with the menu as well as a wine pairing suggestion. I was very satisfied with the suggested wine and had an overall fantastic dinner experience.

We were seated and then we waited and waited and waited and finally got menus and water. And then we waited and waited. And eventually we ordered. More waiting. Then the pizza finally came. It was tasty, but not remotely worth the wait. Someone knocked over a glass, which broke on the floor. No one cleaned it up for 15 minutes. For reasons unknown, you have to take your bill to the front of the restaurant. Their credit card machine was conveniently "broken," so we had to pay in cash. I don't care how good your food is. If the service is lousy and nobody seems to care about you, I can't dish out more than two stars.

It was especially great for us that it was covered seating, as it was raining all day. We started with some bruschetta. It was forgettable bread but the tomatoes and oil were both pretty good - not amazing. We eat got a pizza, and both fell in love. We went here on recommendation that it was the best pizza in italy (including Naples) and we concur (only thing better is chicago deep dish). Definitely stop by if you have time - you wont be disappointed.
