The journey started last year when my wife (newly minted title!) and I looked for a DJ that was not the typical DJ at weddings. We wanted a "REAL" DJ that has played in major clubs, loved music as much as I do, and could give us a unique experience. I booked Injoy Entertainment as my wedding DJ for an October beach wedding. The whole entire process from start to finish was amazingly smooth, this is such a good company to work with. I am so indecisive at times, Phil was great at just picking songs and filling gaps for me when I had no idea what I wanted. They didn't play anything cheesy or lame, everything was spot on. The reception ended up being a huge drunken dance party and everyone had so much fun! I never one time had that 'WTF is THIS?!' thought in my head.. except for maybe when one of my bridesmaids special requested Gangnam Style... ha. ;) The only part of the whole thing I was picky about was the 'walking down the isle' song. Being that the wedding was on a beach, I thought there might be troubles with the sound volume and quality.. But no, Phil was right on with this too. My husband and I were dedicated to finding a Wedding DJ that would make our wedding memorable for our friends and family, without any of the typical "cheesy wedding music." Injoy Entertainment was recommended to us by our photographer, who of course has attended many a wedding, so we took his recommendation without hesitation. After an initial meeting with Chad to discuss the style and tone of our wedding, we continued to collaborate with him as to the songs we wanted and how we wanted the evening to progress. For our wedding, the hardest vendor to find was a DJ. We wanted someone who could get the crowd dancing because our biggest priority was for everyone to have a good time. We didn't want a lame and boring wedding that our guests stare at one another and look at the time in hopes of the wedding ending at any moment. I met and spoke with other DJ's but I wasn't sold on any of them so I went to a Bridal Bazaar in early 2013 with my mom specifically to find a DJ and that is where I met Chad. The day prior to the Bridal Bazaar I took my mom to the venue (who was in town visiting) and we saw a party rental place set up for a wedding that night. Turns out Chad was the DJ for that wedding and I became immediately excited as our venue (Leo Carrillo Ranch in Carlsbad) is not a traditional place for weddings. So he knew the layout, he knew what we would need and how to make it work for our wedding day. After some research of my own on Injoy and looking at other reviews on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp (they have three different pages for the area's they serve), I knew these guys would be our DJ. About a week later I met with Chad and Al at a Starbucks and I booked them after our meeting. I felt comfortable with both of them, communication throughout the year was easy and the week of the wedding we had a phone interview to go over the final details. October 19th was our wedding and Al was awesome. He did everything we wanted. Our friends danced their faces off and a week later everyone keeps telling us how fun the wedding was and that it was the best wedding they've been too in a long time. After planning and creating every detail of the wedding myself during our year and a half engagement, it's the best compliment I can ever receive from friends and family. A DJ can make or break your wedding and with Al's help, our wedding was a great success. Even when small things happened off script like guests taking it upon themselves to eat before the grand entrance and eating the cupcakes before the cake cutting; Al helped us fix the situation and guests didn't know the difference. I had a poor experience with this company when planning my wedding. I had unreliable communication, the rep I was working with was difficult to reach and had poor communication. I also ended up speaking with the owner/founder of the company and found him to be a reasonable and professional person to work with. Injoy Entertainment provided us with the most memorable night of our life. Our DJ Kingsley was amazing! From my first impression of their website to our first meeting with Kingsley to the very last song he played the night of our wedding...we were beyond happy with choosing Injoy Entertainment. We loved the suggested song list they provided and the questionnaires that we filled out on our very own online portal. We suggested about 10-20 songs per their request for each part of the celebration and they surpassed our expectations at every corner. I never worried about a thing when it came to the music, we trusted the experience of having a wedding DJ that deejayed professionally in the club scene for more than 10 years. Who else can say and offer that???? My favorite part was the option of adding a lighting package We had a beautiful design that was projected onto the dance floor and amazing pink up-lighting that filled the room with color and vibrancy! Kingsley even helped us with our slideshow that wasn't working even though we provided the projector and back screen for it. We had a basketball line-up themed grand entrance for the bridal party and Kingsley manned the strobe lights and pumped Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls theme song in the background! Everyone loved it and we loved how together we were able to be more creative with the help of Injoy! We highly recommend working with them for your wedding. I met with Phil and Chad after meeting with a few DJ's in the area and immediately knew these guys were perfect! Just super fun, cool guys who aren't gonna cheese out your wedding. They went through a package and customized it to work perfectly for our Indian-American fusion wedding. Its hard to find DJ's who can specialize in both and they did it. Phil (my day of DJ) worked with me days prior in picking out perfect songs for literally every single one of our important moments, ie recessional music, cake cutting, father-daughter, bridal party entrance etc. During the Hindu ceremony, the traditional music was played on point and same with the Christian portion. He kept the dance floor going strong during the reception (even with indian bhangra music!)...the guests were bummed when we had to leave! My friends are still saying they never had so much fun dancing! I worked with Jason for lights and AV equipment and he was so helpful. Lights and AV equip are hard things to plan and he was so great about emailing and answering all our questions! Couldn't recommend these guys enough! Perfect for our fusion wedding! read more
