Throughout the representation, I repeatedly had to follow up for updates, answers, and strategic guidance. These weren't concerns I developed after the case ended--I raised them while he was still representing me because I often felt I wasn't receiving the level of communication or legal guidance I expected from my attorney. My biggest frustration was the lack of proactive legal strategy. In many instances, I would receive communications forwarded from opposing counsel and then be asked what I wanted to do. I hired an attorney because I expected legal analysis, recommendations, and strategic guidance. Instead, I often felt responsible for organizing the facts, identifying issues, and repeatedly asking for direction rather than receiving it proactively. Communication was another major issue. As my confidence declined, I ultimately decided to continue my divorce without this firm. Everything I've written here reflects my personal experience and is based on emails, text messages, invoices, court filings, and other correspondence that I retained throughout my case.
