I wanted to look for someone local and Natalia's business, "Girls'n Lashes" was in Etobicoke, which was perfect for me. I checked her website and liked the fact that "Girls'n Lashes" was not a salon, but ONLY specialized in lashes! Natalia has a passion for ONLY eyelash extensions. I purchased a Groupon for a full set plus a fill in. I called her and she quickly called me back and we easily made the appointment for my first set of full lashes. I was quite eager to get in, as most women would understand, losing your hair can be distressing, and I was booked in, no problem, and my fill in was booked 2 weeks later. Natalia was not only beautiful, (not that that should matter), but kind, courteous, polite, friendly and professional. She was very sympathetic and understanding about my hair loss and was certain that she could help me. "Girls'n Lashes" was clean and cute and just perfect. Natalia kindly explained what the experience would be like and feel like, being a first timer. She provided such a relaxing environment with quiet and calming music. She was so very gentle with the application of the lashes. She has such a gentle touch! I even think I may have fallen asleep at one point I was that relaxed! (You lay down with your eyes closed during the entire application process). The full set came with I think 40 or 50 lashes per eye and she said I could buy extra if I wanted them. But when I got up to look in the mirror, I had a BEAUTIFUL set of gorgeous, full, natural looking lashes!!! I did not need to purchase any more!! She even put the extra ones on the end that are supposed to be called "wing-tips" that make you look extra flirty when you bat your eyelashes!! They are stunning!!! And with THESE LASHES you don't even NEED to wear mascara!!! Please understand ladies who are all reading this and possible customers of "Girls'n Lashes" and of Natalia, they are not the oversized, "spider" looking, false looking lashes! They look like your own! She chooses the right size and shape for you and won't go pass a certain length that is unnatural looking for you! This wonderful girl has standards for her business!! Natalia and "Girls'n Lashes" now has a forever client in me!! I have come less frequently in the last few years since moving to the States, but nevertheless this was one of my go to places once upon a time. I am SUPER bummed that they have changed their make-up application prices. It used to be about $45 for make up application -- but you could put that towards buying their products, so you don't just "lose" that money. No brainer! I came in this past Saturday and the new pricing is $75 for a full face and you can't use that towards products. The only thing I did get with the pricing was a set of false lashes. They do have a "targeted" make-up application that is $45 but you choose the service. For example: eyes, lips, contouring, etc. Which is also an insane price in my opinion. Sephora does the same type of targeted service for FREE. Honestly, they do a great job at application and I do really like their products including some of their skin care line (particularly Scientific Organics). I also enjoyed their quick and dirty 3 minute facial prior to applying the make up, it makes it feel a little more spa like--- but the spa feel ends there. Almost every location, including this one, ends up being small and cramped, especially with how busy they can become. I am not sure why they have never invested in a more spacious location, they could certainly use it. In my experience, always book an appointment if you can. It is usually very tough to do a walk-in. However, it was easy to schedule an appointment with only 1-2 days notice. A Beauty Club membership pretty much pays for itself if you come in for services and/or buy products. Plus, they have a whole bunch of perks like free "targeted" makeup on your birthday, 50% off a facial, 10% off products, etc. Final word: The new pricing is going to make me think twice about coming back (especially for make up). Sephora still does make-up for $50 and you can put all that towards products (ANYTHING they sell in the store, so it doesn't even have to be make-up-- it can be perfume, hair, bath products, etc). Personally, I prefer Sephora but it is much more difficult to book and you have to do so much further in advance (weeks- months). Caryl Baker is still a solid choice, and it is still on my list for other services--- but I can't justify the new price for make up and would only do that if I was in a pinch.

The eye that crisscrossed the lashes come off within a week or two. The perfect eye they stayed for a month. Looked strange to have long lashes on one eye than the other. I ended up pulling them off. She is essentially stealing money for a service she will not be providing at all, and has done nothing to earn the money.
