I took my 5 hour class with this school and thought it was great. It wasn't boring, and they give you a step by step preview of what the road test is going to be like. I was so impressed, I took a package with them, and was amazed at how organized they were (other schools took 10 minutes to figure out my balance with them and were always wrong!) The instructor was strict, and knew her stuff, and got me to pass the first time with them after 5 lessons, after failing 2x. I definitely think I would never have passed without them. I took the class to lower my insurance and it did. It was nearby, and convenient. Checked in at the desk, everyone polite and friendly. Instructor was knowledgeable and made the class interesting and fun. We could all relate to what he was teaching and his humor made it much more tolerable than other times I had taken a class.This is well worth the money. So i got my license thanks to Andy... Very patient an attentive to your needs, while guiding you. They have some other great drivers... because my sister had one... but for me its Andy!!!! As far as the company, some of the girls are a hit and miss with the attitudes... but I will say this, the prices are reasonable if you need more than 5 lessons, and they communicate every lesson via text or call. read more

Cynthia is my favorite worker in image driving school she has made my experience in this driving school worth it. Since I had to move from the Bronx to Brooklyn Not knowing the area well I was hoping I made the right choice by choosing Image driving school. But I am confident I did. Cynthia is a very helpful employee and very attentive when it came to scheduling my driving lessons and letting me know when there was an opening for a specific instructor. She makes you feel so welcome when coming in the office. Image driving school should have more employees like her. She really does her job well. read more

I failed my road test with another driving.school so i decided to try a new school, and my instructor Andrew had taught me much more or made more sense in one.lesson than the other school had with numerous lessons lessons. The downside to this school like one.other reviewer said they are money hungry! You have to cancel a day in advance or 24. I woke up ill one morning with the stomach flu and i said I.cant drive and told me id still have to pay for my lessons lessons.... Are you guys serious, you'd actually make a leanring driver drive under these conditions?!? The lady i spoke was not.understanding and said youd still have to pay with no Mercy or any kind of compassion, but to be unfair Theyll call you at the time of your lesson to cancle... If he is available, I suggest that you choose Andy as your instructor! I had a 10 lesson package and I passed my road test the first time thanks to him. He took the time to show me how to make certain maneuvers and made learning to drive a great experience overall. The receptionists were friendly and accommodating as well. I give 4/5 stars due to an instructor that had for 1/10 lessons that I was not pleased with. Go with Andy and I'm sure you'll do just as great as I did! read more

When I first started with this driving school I wasn't impressed at all. I actually cancelled my package after a horrible first lesson, and having an instructor cancel on me 2 minutes before my lesson. I stayed only because I already paid for an additional 2 lessons. When I was finally able to get another lesson, Jamel showed up and completely changed my experience with this driving school. Majority of the first lesson was spent getting me comfortable with the car and preparing myself mentally, so I wouldn't over drive. After that lesson I got back my package and continued all my lessons with him. Jamel eliminated my fears of driving and helped me pass my road test on the first try!!! I highly recommend Jamel if you're willing to put in the work and want to feel relaxed while working towards your license. read more

Very unprofessional. I have never written a review before but felt compelled to warn others. I booked a ten lesson package and was told to allow the driver a 10 minute grace period. My first 8am appointment for which I waited 20 minutes outside, the driver did not show up. I called to complain when the office opened at 9. The driver (Darren/DJ Shawn) claimed he showed up and called me at 8:12. Again I waited for 20 minutes outside, frequently looking down the street and what I received as I waited was what appeared to be a spam message stating DJShawn with a link following so any person with a peanut of a brain would assume is a spam message, therefore I deleted it. My next appointment was with the same driver, I waited 24 minutes but this time I stood in street, near the parked cars looking down the block (a one way street). Driver shows up and does not initiate a phone call to communicate with me that he is waiting. I saw the car but saying to myself that can't be the driver as he would have called given that he is so late. A minute or so later he calls and I told him to look up ahead literally four cars ahead as I am standing in the street. He shows up sweat suit, gold chain on and multiple ear piecing (not judging) but he just looked unprofessional. I processed to asked what is the protocol if the driver shows up later than the 10 minute grace period and he says "are you taking the lesson". He completely ignores my question. I again questioned him as per the procedure because it is unfair for anyone to wait over 20 minutes when told to allow a ten minute grace period. Driver wanted to prove that he showed up for the previous lesson so shows me in his phone that he called me after struggling to find it for a few minutes. And again he claims to have left a voice and text message. Too incompetent to quickly find a call so I will assume he is also too incompetent to leave message. Still no apology, a commonality for professionals service, when the attitude reached levels of disrespect why would I want to drive with someone I can not trust to be honest. Very unprofessional service. Canceled all remaining appointments. Two sessions, one the driver did not show, the other he shows after 24 minutes and he is a rude. read more

Great Driving School. They have easy payment plans, you can even pay as you go. I took my 5 hour class and driving Lessing for a D class drivers license , with the help of Mr. Swan , and Ms. Debbie I was able to pass my road test on the first time. I would recommend this place to anyone. I've experienced other driving schools and this by far is a great one. If you can drive in Brooklyn, you can drive anywhere. Best Wishes :) read more

Image driving school helped me pass my test in less than a month. I started lessons in late October and passed my test November 15th 2017. Alpha was driving instructor. What can I say about this school? I paid for a 10 lesson package deal and then was given a road test appointment for February 8, 2016 / I'm an inexperienced driver and this school was where I was hoping I would learn how to drive Great afterall what better way to go but to learn from a professional driver, anyhow I was given a male instructor who was a very low speaker and I had to ask him many time's to speak a little louder. To make a very long story short I paid for an extra 8 lessons so that I can learn and be more prepared for my road test and stood with my original instructor throughout all my lessons although i did not feel quite comfortable with him but i mentally convinced my self that he is a licensed driver and a professional and he knows what he is doing and even though I'm not comfortable with him if i change my instructor i may not be comfortable with the next instructor as well/ so i rocked it out with the instructor, he often was on his phone doing whatever and i didn't parallel park or broken u turn on every lesson, as my lessons continued i started to feel like this man was milking the cow, meaning my pockets. I give this school 3 star's because most of the time the secretaries would call before most of each lesson to remind me of my lessons and the 5hr class was pretty cool, i felt that the woman instructing the class was pretty down to earth and funny. Now today was my road test so I mentally convinced my self i will do my best and plus i had scheduled a lesson right before my road test so that i can brush up, so at 11am I'm waiting outside for my instructor to come he pulls up fairly on time and then i get in the driver's seat now before i begin my instructor tells me i see you sceduled a road test for today and i don't speak to him but just listen and mentally say no the school schedule my road test because i had a package deal which i winded up paying for more lessons because i didn't feel ready and i knew my road test was around the corner , anyhow I'm listening to him he's got my attention then he proceeds to tell me that if i know I'm not ready i shouldn't have scheduled a road test that i needed to make sure, now my thing is this he knew about the road test the week before why would you wait till the day of my road test to tell me in between the lines that you are not confident in my driving, why wait for the road test day, so to speak my confidence went down the drain and so did my money and i failed my road test miserably so sad about it but I'm not going to give up, i will however change my driving instructor and god willing my next experience will be better, i believe that i failed because i didn't learn enough and although i wasn't completely comfortable with my instructor i stuck it out till the bitter end, my tip is if you don't feel comfortable with your instructor change instructor immediately. read more

After calling a million places I decided to call again and spoke to a young lady named Cynthia. She is the only reason I give this place 4stars. She was kind and answered all my questions without an attitude. She was very knowledgeable and made the process extremely easy for me. Thank you so much Cynthia! I had such a terrible experience with this school. I paid for a package of 10 lessons. They gave me some guy named Joe (an older gentleman). He was mean, critical and made me a nervous wreck on the road. If he wasn't criticizing me he was talking about when he was a cop and how he got shot. He was very intimidating and difficult to learn from. I did about 2-3 lessons with him then asked the school to switch my instructor because I wasn't learning anything at all. They switched me to this other guy who's name I can't recall. He was cool, much, much nicer guy. He let me just drive, gave me tips here and there. He also played old school jams on the radio which I loved :) Made me feel more relaxed! But the only problem was he was just letting me drive and not showing me anything, no U-turns, no parking nothing and my test was quickly approaching. I mentioned it to him several times but he kept saying next week. (oh and he likes to make you stop at the store at least once or twice during every lesson that you are paying for that is eating up your lesson time). So I started becoming nervous and asked to switch my instructor yet again. My last instructor whom I only got to take 2-3 lessons with was great! Cindy, was such a doll to work with though a bit chatty which can be distracting at times. But very informative and trusting. She taught me U-turns and parking but unfortunately because I only had a short amount of time with her I still wasn't that great on my parking. And so I failed the test! :( I paid for even more lessons which altogether I ended paying that school over $600 smh and I still haven't passed my exam! My 5 hr has now expired so I have to pay for that all over again. This school was a HUGE waste of my money and time! If they would've given me a good instructor from the beginning I would have passed the exam by now. Now to start all over again. Thanks Image driving school (Brooklyn Drives) for nothing!! I haven't had my lessons yet however, this place was recommended to me by a friend. I called in and spoke with Cynthia she was great!!! I had a lot of questions and asked some multiple times and she didn't get frustrated or annoyed. She took her time answering my questions about the various packages that are offered and made sure I understood everything before we got off the phone. I've called other schools and felt a bit rushed when inquiring about the things they have to offer. If the rest of the staff is as helpful and patient as Cynthia I'm sure my experience will be great. read more

I had an interesting journey was paying a ton of money to another driving school which I'll make a separate review about. I took my road test failed twice with them the instructor was telling the wrong things just to milk my money. I decided to go to image I had a really good instructor Bernard for two lessons and he was patient and gave me a lot of tips. I scheduled a test however Bernard was unable to take me so they sent Jemel who is one of the most horrible instructors at the school. He comes off as someone who doesn't speak much but don't be fool his attitude is very condescending. I was very nervous for my test which was expected. he didn't make it any better by being argumentative. We sat on the line to only find out I was removed from the test list according DMV. he made it seem like it was my fault. we basically argued our way back to the school. John the owner was very nice and was able to get to the bottom and extended another date. it seems like the previous school had something to do with that mess. John was very accommodating. He managed to get another date the following week and I made sure I requested an instructor with good character. I was assigned Andy who was also amazing. The morning of the test he called and told me he was on his way and not to be nervous and that it was my road test. I had a practice with him prior to the test and he helped to whipped me into shape and still was being patient and pushed me to fullest potential. He is also a funny guy made the experience smooth and at ease. I was not even nervous for the first time and aced my Road test by scoring a 100! 0 points were deducted. Thanks Andy for giving me that last min coaching and thanks to John for being accommodating. As for Jemel he gives a bad rep. I've read other reviews and seem like a lot of people have the same views on him. If you're looking for instructor ask for Andy or Bernard. Two diff personalities but they will get the job done. the frist time i started driving the experience was horrible my white female instructor wasn't pleasant from the time i got in the car all she tried to do was sell me driving packages. unotp of that i was nervous but she keep saying means things. so i switch and got this really great guy who taught me better than she did he payed attention and gave me the best advice. just pissed i wasted too classes on her. the other problem is they don't update their information i payed for my classes but everytime i took a class they keep tell me i own money when i didn't. thank go i'm finished with their classes read more

Ok. Where do I begin? I started with this driving school last year and was given the instructor Joe, who is very demanding and rude. When he wasn't yelling at me, he was telling his life story and telling me he's going to "make a driver" out of me. He also grabbed the steering wheel, from the passenger seat any chance he had. I don't know about anyone else but I can't learn if someone's doing it for me. I was then given Deborah, who made it her business to remind me that my area wasn't the area she was familiar with, which was fine. I just couldn't understand why she'd get in the car and tell me to "just drive" because she was unfamiliar with the area. Here it is, a year later & I'll have Jamel as an instructor. I will write another review on him. As for the prices, they're so, so. And the elderly guy who instructed my 5 hour class was hilarious. Really made those 5 hours go by fast. The front desk however, not the most welcoming people. I picked a pay as you go package and was not old I'd need to pay something at my next lesson. I was just given a call two days before. So we'll see. I understand it's pay as you go but I put 54 dollars down when I reopened my package, so I believe it should've been made clear I would need to pay another 32 dollars. Just my opinion.
