Erin had scouted the location ahead of time, so she had a great sense of purpose and was really creative and flexible in her shots; she was especially interested in what we wanted and in getting the right "feel" for our family. They were also excellent with the small (and not always cooperative!) children in our group. In addition, Erin was super communicative ahead of time and had great suggestions for our pre-shoot questions (wardrobe, locations, etc.). Of course, best of all, the pictures were amazing! We are so grateful to have worked with such generous and incredibly talented photographers; they are worth every single penny. So you can imagine that with being out-of-state, it was sometimes a pain when it came to vendor hunting. Here is how V&J went above and beyond for us: + Before the day of our wedding, they went and scoped out our airbnb's location (it was near where they lived) for potential first-look locations outside the house + Were SO down-to-earth and easy to talk to! Very approachable and friendly :) + Traveled to 2 locations: airbnb (getting-ready site) and our ceremony/reception venue + I don't think I saw them eat a single thing the entire time -- they starved right along with us, the bride and groom - LOL + We had contracted them from 2-9p, and when we asked if we could extend an addtl hour for more photos, they had one of their photographers stay back to keep up with the party :D The teasers/photos have been gorgeous, and all I'm waiting for now are the last set of videos. :) This was their timeline for those interested (for our photos/videos). I'm sure your mileage may vary depending on how busy they are! + Highlight photos: 45ish days + Teaser video: 45-60 days + All photos: 60-75 days + Highlight videos (speeches, etc): 12-16 weeks We unfortunately did not get to do an engagement shoot with them or post-wedding shoot since we're now based out of TX. BUT, we would hire them again in a heartbeat for anything else whenever we're back in SoFlo. :)
