He discussed with the couple and was happy to work with their plans and what they did and didn't want, and very thoughtful about the photography options with great suggestions. He was a super nice guy as well. The day of the event he was professional, very flexible in the face of lots of cooks in the kitchen, clearly knew what he was doing, and really nice to work with. He knew how to compose shots and make them look great. But most important, the pictures came out wonderful! Finally, his fee was completely reasonable and appropriate to the occasion (unlike other photographers we contacted who said they had a minimum wedding fee whether or not it was a large, standard wedding event). I went first to Yost's Frame Shop, which is no longer in business. I then went to Blick Art Supply which used to do framing, but has since discontinued that service. Blick referred me to Jennifer Lynn of Geranium HIll. She showed me a piece she had recently framed and I thought that she did an excellent job of creating a frame that perfectly complemented the artwork without overwhelming it. She was pleasant, helpful, and respectful of my request for handling the art work. I did not want any of the smudges or blemishes removed. Those marks were earned and reflected the history of the piece. Jennifer gave me exactly what I wanted, a frame that showcased the art. I recommend her highly. The two of them go together perfectly, they keep things light and fun and completely non-stressed despite the naturally-stressful situation. And of course the most important thing: our photos came out amazingly well, just the way we wanted them: bright, colorful, cheerful and vivid, despite it being a rainy, grey day. You'd never know the weather was anything but perfect. They even found a sunset at one point, ran to get us, and helped us rush over to where the view would be best, leading to some of our favorite shots of the day. The photos are detailed without too much of that "soft" "romantic" feel some photographers go with... but not so detailed that you can see every last wrinkle as I've seen with other photographers; they found a great balance.
