They were attentive to my wife's particular needs, they never made us wait for a long time, we were never rushed and were always the centre of their professional attention.

I have been going to this dental clinic since I was a child, roughly 25 years of service. I cannot…read morebelieve how awful the service has gotten with the recent change over to Dr. Rykiss. Recently the two main doctors have retired; I believe some point during 2021. After a long run of amazing service they have decided to retire and switch ownership to Dr. Rykiss. Initially I went in with some tooth pain only to find out that I needed my first ever root canal. After Dr. Rykiss reassured me that this root canal is a procedure he is able complete, I was confident this will be a good experience and I trust that he can do this job. I was not used to this because typically my previous dentist would have referred me to a specialist. When it came time for the root canal procedure he rushed me through that session. This ended up resulting to 3 full sessions in the dentist chair in order to complete the one root canal. Keep in mind none of these sessions were for moulding for the crown/cap. Strictly just root canal. During the first session/appointment I was turned away half way through, this was because he did not have the proper tools or equipment to do at his location. This was after I've been frozen, and had extensive work done to that one tooth already. These are things he should have checked before I was more than halfway through my root canal, or before I even arrived. In the end, after 3 full sessions, he did not complete the procedure properly which has resulted in me needing to see a specialist. A specialist he repeatedly forgets to call after my appointments in person and after me persistently calling for more information. He has also forgotten to call in prescriptions for me. Leaving me in pain for a full long weekend (this has happened on two separate occasions). He has been extremely rough when doing basic procedures that I have received at this same clinic for the past 25 years. Not to mention at times he has refused me the use of the suction tube as I gag and choke on my own spit. I am 1 out of 5 people in my family that visits this dental clinic and 3 of us all have had similar experiences. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone. It's unprofessional, stressful, uninformative and overall a bad experience on so many levels.

A terrible experience from start to finish. Poor communication, lies about their call attempts…read more(They just say your number is disconnected/not in service) and the communication between the Dentist and Reception is non-existent. I booked an appointment for oral sedation for a severe tooth extraction, was told to be there an hour before my appointment to allow the sedation to kick in, only to learn that the dentist does not offer oral sedation. The reception "had no idea" that my dentist didn't offer this. So my only option was to take numbing, or do the exam that day and then take more time off work to come back 2 days later when another dentist that does oral sedation would "likely be in" Then after the appointment, while switching out the gauze, the gauze caught on the stitches he put in, and just to get it out of my mouth, i ripped out the stitches, causing another whole bout of pain. Its a simple recommendation from me, Numb out your mouth with some Anbesol, go find a homeless individual in a back alley, give them $50 and tell them which teeth you need out. It will hurt less in the long run! An update: July 2, 2025, I spoke with the manager of the clinic and she said that her receptionists don't know which dentists do or don't work with oral sedation so its really not their fault. I was clear that they need to properly address the issue and get back to me with a solution and then I gave them the day to look into it properly. I have not heard back from the manager, whom I believe her name was Christina. And after seeing the level of professionalism on their 1 and 2 star reviews, I can honestly say that I do not expect them to accept responsibility for their errors. I am grateful for the dentist who did the best he could to alleviate my pain, and it is unfortunate that the issue with the stitches happened, but it could honestly happen to anyone. It is even more unfortunate that this dentist has to work with administrators who can not adequately support him while he is trying to help people. Update 2: July 2. There was no further communication from the clinic. They refused to accept responsibility for their errors. I have reported the experience to MDA for mediation, and will be reaching out to a lawyer in the coming days. It is highly recommended that this clinic be avoided until such a time that they can take responsibility for their actions. If they can not even go as far as to give an apology, they can't be trusted with medical procedures that can impact a person's health and well being. Update 3: July 3 2025. Today something incredible happened. I have become the latest victim in the Greenwoods Dental Clinic's particular brand of review replies. It was every bit as great as I had hoped it would be. First things first, the satire about a homeless man doing dentistry was taken seriously and that brings so much joy you don't even know. Second, apparently I emailed asking for compensation. I would love to see that email. I absolutely told them I wanted a resolution which could have simply been just an apology, which to date I still have not received. Third, my appointment was on Monday June 30, not Sunday. There are plenty of dentists that I could have went to, but I mistakenly went here because they openly offered oral sedation, which was the main draw to me selecting this mess of unprofessionalism. Next, apparently this is a fake review. I openly encourage ANYONE who wants to see the documentation to message me anytime. I will happily share every piece of documentation I have if it helps even one person avoid the kind of experience I had. Every email, all the insurance claim info which due to what they put me through has been reversed, literally anything and everything I have will be made available to all of you. Lastly, the complaint has already been filed with MDA. A lawyer has been contacted and we are waiting for details from the MDA before proceeding. He was not helpful and proposed to "just pull the teeth" instead of doing a root canal that I needed. His ad hoc treatment was shoddy and resulted in me having to get multiple treatments from better dentists and deal with multiple rounds of amoxicillin. He may be painless but any dentist can use painkillers, a good dentist actually cares about the patient.

They were able to squeeze us in on the very next day for the surgery. Front desk was very professional, polite, knowledgeable and pleasant. Surgery was done by Doc. Jay Guay. I feel sorry for people who put negative reviews about him. We had nothing but positive experience only. We had Doc. Hildebrandt as anesthesiologist who was also great. We had consult and surgery on the same day which I was very appreciative about considering we live over an hour away from the city. Doc Guay explained in details of the surgery. Surgery itself took 30 min max. He did an excellent job at removing all 4 teeth at the same time. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone. He was very upbeat and very pleasant.

Particularly about the topic of becoming an oral surgeon or orthodontist. (Which my daughter wants to go to school for in the future.) The most recent time we went, he spent about 20 minutes answering questions my daughter had about how he became an oral surgeon/the path he took to get where he is today and the question, "Is it worth it? Do you enjoy what you do?" To which he responded without hesitation that yes, he loves what he does - and it shows from the passion he displays when talking about his career.
