Look, this place is what it is. If you're looking for craft cocktails and a list of beers a mile long to show off on your instagram, I have great news for you - there are a ton of places on and off King Street that can accommodate you. This is not one of them. This is bud light, salty-ass french fries (that are actually SO good), loud music, maybe a fight between two chicks over that scraggly looking guy with the patch on his vest (no, not that one, the one next to him with the tat on his neck), cigarette smoke in the air, bras hanging from the ceiling, is that your mom in the corner hammered and scream-singing Skynyrd?, the bartender is not trying to be your friend so quit acting put out because they're not chatting you up the quality of various strains of hops, and THE BEST KARAOKE YOU HAVE EVER SEEN. And seriously... it is 100% the best karaoke ever. Rowdy, glorious, and worth the trip out on a Friday night. I read some of the other reviews on here, and the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I do agree with some of the other comments about some of the experiences people have had with other patrons. I've had to tell an old man off more than a few times for having a loose tongue, and while I've never personally seen anyone of color or members of our LGBTQ community being treated differently (in fact, there are several regulars who may fit one or many of those identities), I wont discount their experiences. Sometimes the crowd can definitely be rough around the edges. Sometimes that roughness is part of the charm of this place, but not if we're talking about people behaving in a racist or homophobic manner - if that happened to you, I'm sorry. That sucks. Again, I've never seen it and only had great experiences in a very welcoming and judge-free environment, but I'm also a white girl living in the suburbs, so what the hell do I know? At the end of the day, if dive bars and epic karaoke are your thing, this place may have helped to write the book on them. I'm a fan.

My husband and I loved it, we had some drinks, played pool, and shared some appetizers. Jalapeño poppers with ranch & wings with the "saloons way" sauce was amazing! Like a Mesquite BBQ flavor. We will definitely be back again.

This is a super, vibey lil' neighborhood bar…read more From the live DJ playing a little funky set that was prime for a two-step to the eclectic murals and lights, it was very easy to settle in here. Although the space is on the smaller side, there was plenty of bar seating, an ample number of booths and the drink prices were a good deal. If I lived a little closer, I could see myself dropping by much more frequently. T he only downside that felt apparent to everyone I came here with, was the strong smell of fried fish. I personally wasn't too phased, assuming it as part of their menu. But the longer we settled in we realized it was coming in from an adjacent business which is incredible hard to control. With that being said, we smelled like fried fish when we got into my friends car and the smell followed us everywhere for the rest of the night. Like I said, I understand that's a hard thing to control but it may be something to be mindful of if you've got anywhere you need to go after. Overall though, totally in love with the laid back vibes here and would definitely return.

The drinks were good and cheap, between the 2 of us we had around 8 drinks & the tab was $25 or $30. Which is relatively good for 2 people, in my opinion. They dont serve food which is a bummer, i also didnt play pool but alot of people were. It is a tight space, so it gets crowded and loud fairly quickly.

Was I seeing this place through my own beer goggles for the night. Let's just get into it. When we showed up in the area we had asked about what nightlife was like in the area. With it being in the middle of a cold streak we were told about several places in town that would fit the bill to have a night out. We made the rounds in town and then found ourselves here for the remainder of the night. I think what drew us here was that it looked like a dive from the outside and allowed smoking. There weren't many people in here for a majority of the night, so we kind of got to observe this place with the regulars in it. That really allows to see how the locals are in an area. It was interesting to say the least. Once the drinks started flowing we started to feel a little more comfortable in here. We started talking to the bartender to find out what was good to do besides the typical tourist stuff in the area. She was wonderful with suggestions, telling us about other watering holes in the vicinity and even beyond Gettysburg. We had inquired about LGBT friendly places within a short car ride and were basically told to go to Harrisburg or a small town in Maryland. At that point, that's when things started to get a little weird. After outing ourselves, things got a little uneasy for us. We ended up meeting the owner's grandson. He was great and seconded the suggestions the bartender made. But when he introduced us to the locals at the end of the bar, we kind of wanted to not say much. It actually made us feel unwelcomed after a bit of sitting near them. Kind of like all eyes were on us. After a few more minutes of that, we paid our bill and made it out the door. So the thing is that it's a great bar, if you're a local. Or maybe even if it's crowded, so there are other people to focus on. We liked everything, the freedom to smoke, the pricing, the bartender, but the atmosphere changed at some point and flipped the script. Would we go back? Maybe if it was nicer weather wise out, that would allow more people to be in here.
