The drinks seem to be served in disposable plastic cups.

Going to give this a hopeful 2 stars and then edit after another visit just in case (and I hope my food isn't spit in for this review.). They've only been open a couple of weekends; this weekend is their third but their second serving any form of alcohol. The bar is "full" but has limited brands - they may have 30 bottles of liquor and their featured beers are PBR, Bud Light, and "t-bone." (The T-bone is $2 anytime, according to our server - though she had no idea what it was or what it was comparable to.) They do have a happy hour ($5 Long Island Iced Teas and $1 PBR) and apparently $6 shots from $8-9. Since we went for dinner and not drinks, we were somewhat surprised at how limited the menu is at this point: mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, fried pickle spears, wings, a soup of the week-or-so, burgers, BLTs, grilled cheese, a kids menu featuring things on the menu elsewhere, and sides including Mac & cheese. My husband got tonight's specials combined into one meal: the fish platter with one biscuit and gravy instead of the other two sides. The fish was bland but crisp, and the biscuits were neither fluffy nor crispy but a sort of Southern chewy. The gravy was incredibly sausagey - way more meat than gravy. I got appetizers: fried pickle spears and mozzarella sticks. Nothing was exceptional, but everything is okay(ish).

The inside gives an older coffee shop vibe and very family owned. The owner is incredibly kind and recognizes everyone that stops by. They have regular and everything bagels and you can get a breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, bacon or sausage. The portion is huge and it's delicious. The everything bagel is full of flavor and super fluffy but also a layer of crisp. I had the pizza bagel both mornings we came and it was phenomenal. I still think about it and can't wait to come back. The portion is perfect and it also comes on an everything bagel. They also have a lox bagel and you can get bagels to go. The inside is darling with a large area in the back. Amazing place!

Stopped here to grab some breakfast before hitting the road for the long drive home. We just wanted…read morea couple of bagels and some coffee, thought it would only take a few minutes but luckily we didn't have any coins smaller than quarters for the parking meter or we would have run out of time waiting. Walked in to the very small space and were told we needed to order online, so we got out our phones and scanned one of the many QR code signs posted on every surface anordered - two bagels, one with cream cheese and the other with butter. He confirmed he received the orders immediately- even before the payment had gone through. That seemed like a good sign. We waited and watched while he made salads and other orders for people who presumably ordered online before us, but didn't come in to pick up while we were there. Eventually he made our bagels, put them in cardboard baskets, covered them with aluminum foil (not sure why we needed that cardboard waste -- would have been happy with my bagel just wrapped in foil), covered them with paper towels, put them each in separate paper bags, and placed them on the counter while calling our names (even though we were the only people in the place and he had confirmed he knew who we were when he received the order). We took the bagels and walked across the street and got our coffees from the cute cat cafe with the friendly staff. Hit the road, and pulled out our bagels in the car. First bite was so bad that I tossed the rest of the bagel back in the bag... it was so crunchy it was more of a thick bagel chip, and shards of bagel stuck between my teeth like splinters. Certainly one-of-a-kind, I've never had another bagel like it. About 10 miles later I was hungry enough to get the bagel out and try again... this time I kneaded it through the aluminum foil a bit to bread it up first. It was still very crunchy and sharp, but there were some softer bits toward the middle. There wasn't much flavor, except where it was drenched in butter (and those bites tasted like butter, which isn't a bad taste I guess). TLDR, if you want bagels in Winchester WV skip this place and go to Sclafani's.

Deep rich color, clean broth, and not full of salt that is common in many restaurants. As one who makes French Onion soup from scratch and has sampled French onion soup in dozens of restaurants over many years, I would place this in the top 5. The cod was really special. Unusually very large pieces that were not drenched in a ton of batter. The result was a fresh, flaky texture and taste. The portions were such that we had leftover cod the next day. The fresh cut fries were a bonus that puts the Union Jack fries far above the typical institution, pre-made version found in most restaurants.

After reading the reviews I selected this pub after checking out the walking area in this quaint village I was offered a table in a quieter area or the bar and immediately found a seat at the bar. Selected a delicious stout to begin while glancing at the menu. I opted for the Shepards Pie since my last one happened to be when I was last in London. Service was awesome and my plate arrived quickly. This place was full but not overly noisy! I loved the pairing of the stout with the meal. Delicious pie and was not rushed to make room at the bar! Happy to have visited !!
