I was here once before and gave a good review even though they were out of a lot of food. Returned yesterday evening to a big surprise! It is no longer a restaurant. There are no tables but instead they have been replaced with grocery shelves as it is being turned into a small neighborhood market. They have a bar in the back with a few seats however don't expect to have your family along because no place to sit. Out of T-Bone steaks which they advertise as the daily special always. Out of vegetables and sides with the exception of potato salad. Woman behind the counter said owner was too busy with doing other things like driving a school bus to attend to keeping the grill properly stocked. Place has as much abeyance as a back alley New York dumpster site. Just looks plain dirty inside and out. Located in one of the worst areas in town. When I mentioned what they advertise on their website the matron behind the bar apologized saying that web site is years outdated. Absolutely nothing on the website is accurate! Left disappointed and hungry. read more

Heard it had good food, went for a road trip and turns out the road was torn up. Worth the trip anyway. Had BBQ wings and they were excellent, and I'm not even a wing lover. They also have burgers and other goodies. Service was great. Will go back next time I'm anywhere near Winchester. read more

Found this gem on a quick getaway from with the Mrs. Came in after dinner hours and was famished. We had the wings with mombo dipping sauce....fantastic!!! Followed up with the Jerk chicken and side of cabbage and red beans and rice....cant say enough about the flavor. This place is exceptional!!! Best part was the conversation with the owner, Terry. A super engaging lady with a huge spark for life!! We will definitely make this a go to in our future trips to Winchester Va. read more

T Bones isn't just food and drink. It's America at it's best. The people and I do mean everyone makes you feel like you have been friends returned home. If being made to feel glad to be alive isn't important to you the food will make you smile. There's no pretence just good cooing. Great Jamaican from jerk chicken to goat and oxtail. I have spent in Winchester last 4 weeks exploring local restaurants on daily basis. This place serves the best food in this area! The steak was homemade quality with excellent proportion of seasoning and salt. I never tried such tasty french fries before- soft and crispy at the same time with delicious seasoning! Going to give this a hopeful 2 stars and then edit after another visit just in case (and I hope my food isn't spit in for this review.). They've only been open a couple of weekends; this weekend is their third but their second serving any form of alcohol. The bar is "full" but has limited brands - they may have 30 bottles of liquor and their featured beers are PBR, Bud Light, and "t-bone." (The T-bone is $2 anytime, according to our server - though she had no idea what it was or what it was comparable to.) They do have a happy hour ($5 Long Island Iced Teas and $1 PBR) and apparently $6 shots from $8-9. Since we went for dinner and not drinks, we were somewhat surprised at how limited the menu is at this point: mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, fried pickle spears, wings, a soup of the week-or-so, burgers, BLTs, grilled cheese, a kids menu featuring things on the menu elsewhere, and sides including Mac & cheese. My husband got tonight's specials combined into one meal: the fish platter with one biscuit and gravy instead of the other two sides. The fish was bland but crisp, and the biscuits were neither fluffy nor crispy but a sort of Southern chewy. The gravy was incredibly sausagey - way more meat than gravy. I got appetizers: fried pickle spears and mozzarella sticks. Nothing was exceptional, but everything is okay(ish). read more

I downloaded Yelp specifically to write a review about this place. If you are driving through this area, this is the only place you should stop if you want a good meal and drink. My husband and I showed up on a Friday evening around 5 pm-no one was inside except workers and owners.. We were skeptical at first seeing as it was dead and a little run down inside. We ended up staying and getting a couple beers and ordering the chicken curry dinner and jerk chicken dinner-AMAZING. I felt like I was eating in Jamaica. Very authentic. Everyone was so friendly. They said it was more of a late night place and we were just early. Everyone should be eating there!! So yummy. Hit the spot. read more

I'll try my best to keep this review relatively short & concise. After leaving Winchester nearly 10 years ago, it's wonderful to see that the area now has a local bar that is welcoming of all people and their unique backgrounds. It was refreshing to see such diversity among the staff and patrons. That being said, the food was delicious! I've noticed that the menu has grown since its initial opening (and I'm still making my way through the many options), but at this point I highly recommend both the curry & brown stew chicken! If you're looking for something a bit lighter, the taco salad is also a great option. This is a family-owned business, and you'll definitely realize this by the hospitable atmosphere. My husband and I were looking for a steak house to eat at in the area! We yelped Longhorn, Roadhouse, and a couple other ones, and amazingly all of them had horrible reviews with pictures of the food. Then we looked at the reviews on T-Bones and they we great. We headed that direction and passed the place. It's small and between some houses, but talk about some home cooked food!! We ordered steak, greens, potato salad and Mac and cheese. My husband and I pass by Tbone's almost every day and have never stopped by until today . They were out grilling jerk chicken it smelt so Good! We stopped and ordered jerk chicken and curry goat both with red beans and rice and cabbage . It was so good! Flavor was on point! Only complaint my husband had was that it was not enough he wanted more lol We will definitely be back for more! read more

The owner is very pleasant and she finds time to greet you while running the kitchen. From the outside it appears as a neighborhood gem. I can tell there are many regulars and it's easy to see why. The owner invited me to come try her restaurant if I was looking for some good food. My husband and I are new to the area so we went for dinner that same night, it was delicious. Best bar in town. Im from ATL so this is the closest I've found to "back home" food. The food is amazing and to die for, the prices are reasonable and the customer service you get is always A+. They have dis on weekends and they have an outside area. My favorite bar in town and their owner T Bone is so kind. read more

My BF and I were pleasantly surprised by the food at T Bones. We were spending a couple days in Winchester and I had a taste for some home cooked food. I went to yelp, per usual, and saw T bones was close to our hotel. We walked in and sat at the bar. This is definitely a locals spot as it in a neighborhood. Don't be deterred by the outside appearance. The staff, food, and drinks were great (and cheap)! We got to meet the owner and the bartender told us of the plans to expand.
