Looking for a wedding venue? There truly are not enough…read morewords to thank Thomas for everything he did for us during our wedding. From the moment we started working with him, we felt supported, cared for, and completely at ease. Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming at times, but Thomas had a way of making everything feel manageable and calm. On our wedding day, he was everywhere we needed him to be without us ever having to ask. He handled every detail with so much professionalism, kindness, and genuine care. Because of him, John and I were able to be fully present and soak in every moment instead of worrying about logistics. That is such a priceless gift on a day you can never get back. What stood out most was how much heart he put into his work. We never felt like "just another event." He truly cared about us, our families, and making sure our day was everything we hoped it would be. By the end of it all, Thomas didn't just feel like our venue coordinator -- he felt like part of the day itself and honestly became a friend. He danced with me and our guests, celebrated alongside us, and brought such a fun, positive energy to the entire evening. Looking back, I can honestly say I had the BEST team ever, and Thomas was such a huge part of that. We are beyond grateful for the role he played in one of the most important days of our lives. Thank you, Thomas, for helping create memories we will cherish forever.

It was a nice afternoon in Abilene when my girlfriend and I explored the historic Grace building…read moreand visited the Grace Museum. We got in a little after noon to see new exhibits that had genuinely just opened for the season that day. The museum is very quiet and, thanks to road construction, a little confusing to get to, but it is worth the drive and adventure. As we arrived, we noticed that a wedding was being set up in their courtyard and event space, and we were in awe of how cute the space was for a wedding. On the first floor was the Gail Norfleet collection, where we were amazed by these multi-layered plexiglass paintings that added depth to her floral pieces and recreated rooms. It is such a unique style. Gail's use of color is quite impressive. On the second floor sat the other two new exhibits. The first was Focus on Photography: Selections from the Permanent Collection, which includes a diverse and vast collection of still images printed on numerous materials such as gelatin, inkjet, tintype, and metal, giving each image a unique display. As a photographer myself, this was my favorite exhibit. My girlfriend's favorite was the Cindi Holt collection showcasing colorful, prairie-inspired pieces. Other areas included the play zone that has the tower challenge and the history exhibits on the third floor focusing on downtown Abilene and the Texas railway. I'm excited to return to the Grace Museum next time I'm in Abilene when new exhibits are on display. What a cute and small museum! My son was bullied and assaulted by two boys both twice his size in the ballpit area…read more The staff said they were shorthanded that day. Several kids in my group saw the attack & came to let me know. The staff went with me. As we ran back there, the kids ran past us to their mom. We attempted to talk to the mom and expected her to have the boys apologize. They said that my son elbowed one of them in the head. I'm sure that could have happened as that area gets rough, but my son isn't aggressive and obviously wouldn't go after two boys double his weight. Regardless, they shouldn't have jumped on my son and punched him. They should have told staff or their mom. The boys were being rude and loud, so the staff made them go wait outside. They then started making faces and sticking their tongues out which I pointed out and staff saw as well. The mom did not feel like the kids needed to apologize and after them continuing to be disrespectful, I told the staff I felt they should not be allowed back in that day. They agreed and escorted their group outside. They were outside for awhile, my husband heard what happened and went out to chat with the mom to see what happened. The mom said the boys would like to apologize. We finished paying our birthday bill, apologized to our guests for the drama and commotion and were calming my son down. As we left, we drove by their vehicle and asked "Did you want to apologize?" They said yes, the mom apologized, then one of the boys apologized, and then the other two apologized too. We rolled up our windows and drove away. Then we got a phone call from staff at Formula Fun who asked if we were threatening that party or calling them names. We said no and explained that we had given them the opportunity to apologize and they did so. It was a 60 second interaction and I felt like it ended well. The staff informed us then that we would be banned from the facilities until they had the opportunity to review the footage of the ball pit and see if my son had somehow instigated the fight. I kind of felt it was ridiculous as the staff did see my son who is an average sized 8 year old at 65 pounds and the kids in the other group were both 12-14 and at least 120 each. So it was a little hard to imagine him wanting to start anything with them. I felt like the video would show that though, so I agreed to wait. This was on May 9th. I called May 22nd as it had been nearly two weeks and I had not had any communication about if we were allowed to resume using the membership we pay for for my 3 children. The manager had no idea of this event. She said she would need time to speak to her staff and figure out what happened. We weren't able to use our membership for 3 full weeks after having our birthday party ruined. Staff did offer to take 10% off the cost of the party for this incident, but we waited over 3 weeks to be able to use our membership again while management figured out this issue. My children did nothing wrong and have been punished without being able to utilize our membership and enjoy it. The regional manager, Anna, reached out to me in June promising to speak to the facility manager about the event to see if she was mistaken, but she never reached back out and we ended up getting a Prime Time membership instead.

It smells bad but everything else is wonderful. The staff is friendly and kids have a great time…read more It's as clean as possible for what it is.
