You create the plate and paint it in the same night, so when you pick it up, it's all ready to go in about two weeks. It's so fun to try out a pottery wheel, and they help out to ensure everyone can do it! They also offer premade pottery pieces where you can paint yourself and fire for you. I was a little bit confused on what to do so I'll help y'all out: 1) Select the piece you want to paint from the wall. You bring your piece to the counter and pay for the price of this piece (usually found at the bottom) AND an extra $7 on top for the paint. Don't worry, during COVID you're allowed to come back and finish painting at another time without paying an additional fee again. 2) Go to the paint section and write down the paints color you want to use on the sheet of paper. The shown paint is half 1 layer and the other half 3 layers. You can sit down at any table you want and they'll bring the paint to you. (You can always ask for more paint afterwards). 3) When you're finished, give your piece to one of the workers. They'll fire it up for you and be ready in a week or so.

This one has more merchandise and a much bigger layout. Where the store fell short for me was the lack of Customer Service. My wife and I came in to patronize the Travelers notebook section and look at a few other items, including fountain, pens, and gel roller pens. When she asked where the Travelers notebook items were, we were dismissively told "they are over there" as the employee pointed to a back wall without looking up. Wewere never asked if we needed further help. The two employees who were in the store were very dry, never offering any assistance and or a smile. When I asked to view the pens in the case, the young lady who showed me barely even attempted to offer me any type of instruction or suggest other items for me to look at. It was almost as if I was bothering her. The store has a lot of great merchandise, but I can get all of those things online and not be treated this way.

The owner was super nice and helpful. Her assistant is a high school girl and we weren't too impressed with her. I didn't feel like there was enough help for the amount of people we had. There were about 14 of us and we all had different types of projects. Mine had three different levels of paint and got messed up. The assistant tried to help but she ended up painting on it while it was still wet and made it worse. I was the last one to leave at 9:00 (arrived at 5:00) because the owner was trying to help me fix it. It doesn't look great at all. Maybe they should have had one more person there to assist. I felt abandoned after awhile and left to figure it out by myself. Again, the owner was super sweet and tried to help as much as she could. I wish I had known in advance that my project would take longer and need more work than the others. Maybe that could be added to the website, difficulty level??

Her quote sounded too good to be true, but I went and met with her and seen some of the other dresses that she had made. They were beautiful so and her prices were very reasonable. So, I decided to give it a shot. I must admit it sounded wayyy too good to be true. She also told us that she could make my fiancé's suit. At that very 1st visit she took our measurements. We left not knowing exactly we were going to get, even kind of nervous. But hopeful at the same time. She was very quick, and we went in for our 1st fitting. My fiancé's jacket and vest looked great, and fit him just about perfectly at the 1st fitting. I must admit I wasn't happy with my dress at all... here's where I went into freak out mode. Yani pretty much told me to trust the process. Since I had never had a custom dress made... i did not trust the process at all. When I came back for the next fitting, I can tell you that all my stress was for nothing. The dress was almost perfect. I was like... YES! This is so much better. By my last fitting the dress was perfect. Absolutely perfect! This past weekend was our wedding. I got so many complements on my dress. It fit perfectly. You can tell it was made just for me. I was thrilled with results, and she'll never know I had a little help! I drove 34 miles from Pearland based solely on YELP reviews and her email responses. We shared emails over a couple of weeks, then I thought I had it! But I didn't. She got me in right away, we did some trouble shooting. Since this was a private lesson, she actually did some of the sewing for me. Top stitching on satin binding. My straight stitch sewing on satin is all over the place. I was so pleased and GRATEFUL for her help. My appt wears far above MY expectations. Her studio is just the right size to show she knows what she's doing and comfortable for a private lesson. I learned to change needle and pin size for satin binding, the technique up close (much better than YouTube), a miracle way to do ruffles, and received advice on other issues.
