My first time using the station was a breeze. I had no clue what I was doing, following the on screen directions simplified the process and made it easy to navigate. My second time using the station had an issue occur, the screen froze on my payment. I contacted customer service (contact information located at each station) and was able to connect with a real person instantly. She restarted the station, ensured me my card was released from any charges and I was able to use the station. I made the mistake on entering my payment first prior to connecting the EV pump to the vehicle. Oops! The directions on the screen specify this very clearly. YOU MUST PLUG THE CHARGER INTO YOUR VEHICLE FIRST THEN ENTER YOUR PAYMENT INFO ON THE SCREEN. The charging station is illuminated the entire use of the EV pump, detailing how much time remaining until you reach 80% and 100% charge, showing you where your current charge % is, how much your card has been charged so far, how long you have been at the station and the rate of energy being delivered to your vehicle. As a guest, you have the option to enter your phone number to receive a detailed text receipt detailing your transaction. The details are easy to view from your vehicle. I used the pump for 83 min, went from 37% to 90% and was charged $15.91 total using the Ultra Fast pump.

Installation was quick and easy, and the price reasonable. Several years later we had an issue with the breaker itself failing. One of their crew came to our house the morning I reported it and he immediately fixed it. No charge. The absence of issues is not the measure of great service. Stuff happens. It's the response that makes the difference. This one was right on target. Really appreciated!

I needed to install my own Emporia Pro charger with a load balancer and wanted to get it done quickly and with a permit. I reached out to EV Charger Expert. I communicated with two people from the company: Kirill, the sales manager, and Erin, the electrician/installer. **The Good** Kirill is very prompt and responsive. He always answers the phone and is willing to discuss the details. He clearly knows the intricacies of EV charger installations, even in more complex situations. He was able to schedule the installation very quickly, and the work was completed on time. The city inspection was done one month later and passed without any issues. So, my primary goal was achieved: I had my charger installed, permitted, and running ASAP. **The Bad** The cost of the installation was fairly high. I paid $2,450 for installation, materials, and the permit. Since I provided my own charger, I believe the labor and other installation costs represented the majority of that amount. For this price, I expected a very high-quality job. Erin installed and set up everything within one day. Two relatively minor problems occurred. If the company had handled these issues better, I would have given them four or even five stars. **1. The load balancer antenna** My charger includes a load balancer with a small antenna. The antenna is supposed to stick out from the metal subpanel so that it can receive a Wi-Fi signal. After the installation, the antenna was hanging through a large round hole in the subpanel. It looked unfinished and, in my opinion, was both unattractive and potentially unsafe. I could not convince the installer to cover the opening, so I had to do it myself. I made a trip to Home Depot, spent about $10 on parts, and made a simple cover myself. The antenna is now secure and the opening is properly covered. Please see the before-and-after pictures. **2. Stripped subpanel screw** During the installation, one of the four screws holding the subpanel door was stripped. I considered this a safety issue. I notified both the installer and the sales manager by SMS that evening, as soon as I noticed it. The installer called me back two days later and, to put it mildly, was quite rude. He told me that it was not an emergency and that they would take care of it on the day of the inspection. On the day of the inspection, Kirill did not have the appropriate replacement hardware. I suggested using a tap and a slightly larger screw to repair the stripped hole, but he declined. Once again, I had to make a trip to a hardware store, purchase a set of taps and screws, and repair it myself. To be fair, Kirill reimbursed me $30 for the cost of the screws and taps. In total, I made several trips to a hardware store and spent several hours fixing issues that I believe should have been addressed by the installer. **Overall** The installation was completed quickly, on schedule, and passed the city inspection without any problems. Kirill was also very responsive throughout the process. However, given the high price, I expected better attention to detail and better handling of the two relatively minor issues that came up. Neither problem was particularly difficult or expensive to fix, but in both cases, I ultimately had to resolve the issue myself. For me, the installation achieved its main objective, but the quality of the finishing work and the way the problems were handled left something to be desired. For these reasons, I am giving EV Charger Expert three stars.

Parking: The chargers are located in the back of the shops of The Village at Corte Madera. They are also visible from the highway. There were two different types of chargers to choose from. Environment: The place was well lit. We decided to walk around the area while we charged. If the shops were open, there would have been a lot to do. We came across a lit fire pit and spent some time there before heading back to the car. Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. This place was convenient to charge at. It's right off of HWY 101 and there can be lots to do when the shops are open.

To the direct left of Sprouts is handicap parking (2 spots) and an oversized dumpster area. If you drive past this area and continue, there you will locate the stations. Once you plug in, in the app select the station you are connected to and begin to charge from your phone. The chargers are fast in speed, charging my 2023 Performance Tesla Model 3 from 28 to 80% in 20 minutes. Pretty amazing! I spent $11 total, the app told me when my charge was complete and provided me 10 min of idle time prior to an additional charge. For the speed and rate during early afternoon I believe the service received is worth the price. The type and kW vary from 100-350 kW with the options of CCS combo and CHAdeMO chargers. Each station is given a name (Nell, Melissa, Monroe, Qiyun...), based on the name you can identify which charging speed its equipped with (using the app). Just looking at the machine itself, the information is not intuitive. The app let me know which stations were out service (2 of the 7) so I did not waste time setting up to charge. The price of kW depends on your location and time of day you charge. With AAA memberships, you automatically save 10% and have no fee to use these stations in absence of a EVgo membership. You can pay directly at the charging station if an app is not your thing. Once you establish an account, an EVgo card is created and mailed to you to use at the station in place of the app. You can also invite people to be a member with you under your plan, they will have access to your payments and plan rate If you're hungry or want to wander while you wait there is a Sprouts, Habit and a couple other eateries in the plaza. Across the street is a Starbucks and Kaiser. If you have enough time you can wander to Trader Joe's, Jamba Juice, Five Guys, Donuts and so much more. The location is easily accessible from the Pinole exit from either direction with lots to do if waiting in your car isn't your vibe.

You enter, ( it's one way) and pull into one of the open spaces ( there's at least 12), click your card, and charge away! These are all fast level three chargers, and they reasonably priced. The entire building is immaculately clean, and if you don't want to hang in your car while it's charging, there's an enclosed lobby, where you can sit and enjoy some quiet time, grab a snack from the vending machine, or get some last-minute things done on your phone or laptop. Once you're done, and you head out of the exit, it's a one-way street, so it makes it easy to jump back into the thick of the San Francisco streets!

The entrance is right before the light of the freeway entrance (San Pablo Ave & John Muir Fwy) and right after the Safeway parking lot entrance. To enter sucks, you still have to wait in the freeway/Safeway traffic before you can access the entrance. To exit, I will either have to take the freeway or cross over lanes to U turn. Morning and late afternoon traffic is brutal over here so... Just saw a car pull up from the Safeway direction, so it is possible to enter/exit through the Safeway parking lot. Still not pretty but definitely easier than the street. Everything about this place is the same as any other Electrify charging station... charging speeds, rates, etc. I hope these chargers will be well maintained without out of order stations as often as other locations. Just happy it's finally open with WAY MORE charging stations than that at Lucky. Not sure how long the no wait will last especially since there is no place to park while you wait for the next available charger. That may change once construction is done over here. We will see...
