I first reached out to to EV Charger Expert in February 2024 in the hope of being able to set up my own charger in my deeded parking spot of my condo complex's shared parking garage. After providing the requested info (I love how easy they make it!), I received an estimate and agreement which I promptly signed and sent back. Not long after I received a call from Kirill who said he was in the neighborhood and wanted to look more closely at the access to my meter. Unfortunately upon closer inspection there was not the access that they would need to run a dedicated circuit for my own charger. However, Kirill did offer some ideas for how the HOA might be able to set up a communal charger for residents and followed up by sending me materials on how it would work that I then shared with my HOA. He also offered to speak to the Board if they were interested and had any questions. Fast forward to six months later when I purchased a single family home and needed to get a charger installed - Kirill was the person I reached out to. Once again, I provided the requested information and was promptly sent an estimate and agreement. An appointment for installation was set up shortly thereafter. Erin did the installation and let me tell you, it is a thing of beauty. I neglected to explain that my charger was not a hardwired charger so what I really needed was a NEMA 14-50 outlet into which my charger could plug in, making it a little more complicated and more expensive of a set-up so there was some re-working of the estimate, but it was handled very swiftly over email in real time. I collected recommendations from my neighborhood and work and spoke to many electricians before picking EV Charger Expert. An important piece of advice I received was to make sure that the EV charging station is installed by a firm that does a lot of them, since it draws a lot of current for an extended period of time. A bad installation has very serious implications. I also wanted a permit. Aside from the obvious reasons, I've noticed that whenever I ask for a permit, the job is more carefully done, without cutting any corners. Of all the firms I got in touch with, EV Charger Expert was the most prompt, and had the best price and service. After I sent some photographs, Kirill quickly gave me a quote. His quote was half that of other experienced firms, and he charged a small additional fee for the permit. He wanted to schedule me very soon. He even called me proactively to see if I wanted to do it the next day. I told him I didn't have the charger yet, and he offered to buy it for me, bring it and sell it to me at cost! That sealed the deal. The electrician came the next day (Kirill is the coordinator), spent a few hours, and installed the 60 A circuit and Tesla wall connector. He was very polite and professional. About a week later, Kirill dropped by and took care of the inspection and permit.
