Credit where credit is due. Why can't they all be like this. Most Electrify America stations are a crowded, painful, stressful ordeal. At least 80% of the ones I've used have one or more pieces of equipment out of order.. This one is actually very nice. Plenty of charging stations, that is until everyone gets an electric car, and even a couple of nice rooms too sit and wait. There's even free wi-fi. The area is immaculate and it appears that all of the equipment is working. But the question of the day, why can't they all be like this. I'm getting 30 minutes of free charging which is of course a decent value. How do they keep vagrants out of this place? There's free wi-fi, a clean bathroom, and comfortable seating. Why aren't people living in here?

This is my 2nd time coming to this location and writing this review as I'm charging my car. I'm glad Electrify America decided to open their flagship at this location in San Francisco. 20 charging stalls are available and I've never had to wait for a stall to open up. It's covered so you aren't affected by the elements and there's a great lounge area inside where you can buy drinks and snacks from the vending machine if you want to. I've been driving an electric vehicle that is not a Tesla so that makes me extra excited about this location as I don't have to deal with signing up on a Tesla app just to use their supercharger station. I hope Electrify America opens more flagship locations in the Bay Area and around the USA. There's a staff member here if you have any issues and there's security too. I know EA has its issues within the 2 years I've been using them. They usually have their chargers around either a Target, Safeway, or Walmart and sometimes the chargers are down. But it's better than just having only one option for a supercharging location like Telsa that's behind their app anyway. I've used EA when I went on a road trip to Oregon last year. No issues at all. I hope they continue to expand and add more locations. We electric vehicle owners need it!

I was excited when EA finally opened up another charging station in SF. The one near Japantown is always full, which can be frustrating. This new flagship station is fantastic. With 20 chargers, there's usually no wait. They even have a couple of lounges for you to wait and do some work (free WiFi). Other amenities include some vending stations and a restroom with a baby changing station.

Excellent charging station with 20 high speed stalls, clean lobby, clean bathroom, hydration station. What more can an EV owner ask for? Oh, more of these around the city please!! All other electrify america stations are AWFUL and give me anxiety and angst with long queues, broken chargers and angry people. Should not be such a painful experience to charge. All EA stations should be like this flagship.

This is the best EV charging station in the world. Electrify America is one of the biggest EVSE providers in the world and is always subject to a lot of criticism. Fortunately this flagship station in downtown San Francisco is a wonderful example of what EV charging can be. This facility is located on Harrison St in SoMa right next to the Bay Bridge ramps making it very easy to access. There is parking for 20 vehicles inside. That's right. This charging station is fully indoors. You drive in - or often wait in a short line - and park inside the large and well lit warehouse. Each charger is shared with a maximum capacity of 400 Amps DC, although most vehicles may max out at 200. Yes, you need to look at amps more with your vehicle since getting the full power output requires a vehicle with a 800 volt system. Nevertheless, you can quickly charge your CCS compliant vehicle here - no NACS without an adapter and no AC charging for PHEV. If you understood this paragraph, you are an EV expert! For the rest of the EV world, this is the Nordstrom of EV charging. Expect a great experience with nice lighting, security attendant, and indoor waiting areas with nice furniture and restrooms. They have a bottle filling station and vending machines too. Access is limited to those charging their vehicle, so the facility is safe and relaxing. It is a little difficult to leave the vehicle while charging, but you should be full in about 20 minutes anyway. Most of the people charging are using their free accounts, but I have always been charged a fair price here. Other lesser stations are similar cost and much poorer quality. SF lacks a lot of DC charging for non-Tesla EV, so it is wonderful to see 20 high quality spaces in a very convenient location. I have charged here twice and it is always busy, but the wait is so much less than other stations. I don't know how Electrify America does it, but please DO MORE LIKE THIS!!! Ultimately we need more Walmart-type EV charging - low price, low frills, etc. - to really change the world, but we also need our fancy pants charging like the Electrify America - Harrison Street flagship station. It is an excellent use of abandoned buildings and supports ride hail and even small commercial vehicles. I cannot think of much wrong with them except that they need more!

Nice! I went first thing in the morning ing so I did not have to wait for a charge. I downloaded the App the night before. Using the app is fine but I made the mistake of interacting with both the app and the screen on the charger. Better to only use the app or only the charger screen. I sat in the clean lobby chilling in my phone while the car charged. Also used the bathroom which was clean. It was a pretty fast charge.

Perfect location to charge my EV car! It's clean with ample area to open laptop and work. Best of all they have two fully stocked vending machines and a very clean restroom! Good job Electrify America!!!!

I was hesitant to go here because of the south of Market location but it is clean, under a roof, tranquil and has security.

(If they ask if you've been here before, say yes.) Then you have to enter an underground garage and pay a fee, even if you're only going be charging for 10 minutes. Since it's underground, there's no cell coverage, so there's no way to remotely check the charge status. So if you don't want to pay idle fees, you have to sit in the car in the garage the whole time. If you want to go outside, there's only one exit, up an elevator and out some unmarked doors. But if you go through the doors, one of the aforementioned guards comes running over to tell you that you weren't supposed to be using those doors. If you then try to rightfully point out there's no other exit, he just reiterates the exit is closed and then walks away. With all of that said, the charging is dead slow. If you have any other option, take it .

There's no signage for guidance. No employees for directions. VIBE: Usually uneventful here. Mostly filled with pleasant interactions from other EV peeps. Except today... when a Karen and a Ken were in true form. Talking AT the people in their cars while charging. I say talking AT and not TO bc they didn't approach the folks at the chargers like neighborly adults to inquire how much longer we'd be. Instead, they chose to be snarky and each had the audacity to walk in front of our cars to passive-aggressively bark snide comments. Karen shouts: "TAKE YOUR TIME" then walks away. I felt bad that her wrinkles and deep furrows really display outwardly what a miserable old bag she is. Let this wait humble and remind you that your luxury EV doesn't trump anyone's place in line. Ken musta felt empowered by this poor behavior bc he gets out of his own car, pulls his chinos up well beyond bellybutton height and decides to consign on that betch's rudeness: "ThEy'Re ALL tRyInG tO cHaRge To 100% - sO sTuPiD!" Then gets back in his car... to continue waiting indefinitely :) First off, fk your betch and the clique you claim. You ain't entitled to SHIT here at a PUBLIC CHARGER. Don't wanna queue up? Install a charger at your house. Or how about you plan accordingly? Maybe don't go during peak hours and expect those of us who WAITED OUR TURN to unplug for YOU. I was gonna stop at 80%. But that attitude made me stay till 99% cuz I had the time today. And I still left before the other 3 cars who were plugged in ahead of my arrival. It was a nice, collective unspoken FAFO moment of camaraderie. It doesn't cost anything to be kind & polite. So come correct or get corrected.

Parking and driving around looked quite busy in the front where you can see that tiny Trader Joe's that's overshadowed by the giga Whole Foods and what I think are protestors against Uniqlo, I think. Never seen protestors for that brand in particular, but it is what it is. There's LOTS of college students (near SFSU apparently) and Zoomers since it was, I suppose it's after school on a Tuesday. Parking the back was no issue. Also a decent selection of shops that I would go to normally, like Daiso or Miniso, as well as a Round 1. Neat that they have a Quickly's that looks like it's untouched by time (portraits of cute Ulzzang style workers enjoying the drinks and food there), there's charging tables, and a good amount of eateries and options to get boba and snacks. Completely incomprehensible unless you're specifically from the 626, but this mall reminds me of a mix between the Santa Anita mall and the West Covina mall (during it's prime). Pretty bustling and lots of businesses that actually interest me. I think my only qualm is that everything is at a smaller scale and smaller store, like their Pop Mart and Miniso are markedly smaller with a smaller stock, so keep that in mind.
