In my daughters class she has had three different teachers since August and several different teacher assistants. This created some drop off issues but she adjusted overtime. She is no longer attending because there have been several cases of hand, foot and mouth disease. The school notified parents but as a precaution we weren't comfortable sending her back. The lack of cleanliness and staff consistency in my opinion is why there were probably a few cases (I am not a doctor but I have spoken to friends and family in childcare). We're a few weeks into care with this facility and so far it's not been a great experience. The…read morecustomer service is trash; they seem completely unaware that we are paying customers and act as though they're doing us a favor. They've asked for grace through the opening process. The cameras in the classrooms not working appropriately, the safety mechanism on the door not working properly, the opening of the business being pushed back. With that being said, grace is not returned. We tried to drop our 2 month old off today 19 minutes past the "cut off time"- which is 9:30am and she was turned away. First of all, having a cut off time at a daycare that's open from 6-6 is ridiculous, my schedule is flexible and sometimes i don't start until later in the day and prefer for her to be with me instead of at daycare. With that said- we realize that is the rule and should have read their terms closer and paid attention- unfortunately we did not- but when you're open for a few weeks and constantly asking for understanding, you'd think you'd be able to reciprocate. Also, she's 2 months old and our first child. What if there's traffic? What if she throws up on us on the way out the door and we have to change her? We cant drop off our child without a DOCTORS NOTE after 9:30 in the morning? Is that a joke? We have to take a day off work because we were 20 minutes "late" to a place we pay to care for our child from 6-6? The director is a cold, unaccommodating, unhelpful piece of the the business. While trying to use their entrance software, which does not work properly, she sits through the door watching us struggle instead of offering help. Once we finally get into the building and explain the issue we're having, she looks at us like we're speaking a foreign language, despite two seconds later being told by another employee that the system had been doing exactly what we were describing all day. She's standing there when we walk in 19 minutes past their cutoff time and instead of offering any understanding about how hard it is to be new parents during this adjustment period, she just turns and walks away without a word. We've picked up our daughter multiple times with crusty vomit in her hair, having eaten 8oz in an 8 hour period, with poop up her back and past her belly button. Watching on the cameras as she's placed in her crib for a vast majority of the day- that is when the cameras are even working. For a company that's just starting out, trying to establish their place in the community with something as important as our children, you'd think it would be all KIND hands on deck- ESPECIALLY in the beginning. Instead we get attitude. In my opinion, they act as though there's no other place in town that takes children and that we're lucky to be there and not as though we are the consumers who are paying their salaries and keeping the lights on. If the behavior continues, good luck filling your rooms.

I always felt a sense of magic whenever I walked the woods, gazed at the pond, and saw the joy on each child's face on the nature playground! I was always in awe of the unique activities and ideas flowing through the children and teachers! Ms. Carolyn is such an incredible soul who values children and offers each of them an invitation to receive an incredible love of learning. The foundational skills of curiosity, social interaction, creativity, exploration, and problem solving are rock solid after my child's preschool experience. His connection to nature and love for science couldn't be more beautiful. There is no other preschool in our area that comes close to this unique forest school experience. In addition, we took advantage of the summer camp offerings and birthday party packages as well!! We drove 25 min between our home and the school. It is worth every moment of commuting to give my child such a rich childhood experience. I plan to continue my relationship with Woodland Discovery when my youngest is old enough to begin!!

We were constantly blown away by the activities and learning that took place each week, and Ms. Shanna set the bar (unfortunately) high for every teacher we encounter in the future. Our daughter adores Ms. Shanna and still is comforted by her when she has tough moments at school. Our youngest hasn't made it to her class yet, but we are looking forward to when she gets to be in Green Frogs with her. Ms. Shanna loves on her during drop off and helps talk with her during tough moments during the day. She loves on both of our girls better than we could ask, and we are so grateful for her at LBA!

Everyone there, from admin to teachers have been so great, kind and caring. You can tell that the teachers really do care about the children and want them to learn and succeed, and that really leaves a lasting impression, especially for the kids. A perfect example of that is our son. He's no longer in Mrs. Shanna's class, but still anytime we do something fun with him, he wants to take a picture to show Mrs. Shanna or can't wait to go to class tomorrow so he can see Mrs. Shanna to tell her about something we did the night before. It makes us, as parents, feel good when we drop him off everyday to know that he loves being there, he's learning and being well taken care of.

We had five moms and six kids, and even with a couple of other families already there, the space felt calm, comfortable, and easy to enjoy. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted, and my children were immediately welcomed by Tina, the owner. She's originally from North Carolina, so it felt especially nice supporting a local. I had filled out the waiver ahead of time, but the other moms were able to complete theirs on their phones or use the iPad at the facility. Tina also mentioned they'll be adding a QR code soon, which will make check-in even smoother. There is an admission fee for both kids and parents, and grip socks are required. You can bring your own or purchase them there, which was super convenient. The space is thoughtfully set up with tables for families, cubbies and hooks for shoes and bags, and a complimentary coffee and popcorn station. The coffee is served in reusable, eco-friendly mugs (and they have the cutest ones to choose from), with a nice variety of flavored options. The play area is on the smaller side, which we actually loved because it made supervising easier. The kids had a blast with the interactive screen, slides, swing, indoor trampoline, mini obstacle course, and ball pit. There's also a carousel and a reading nook in the back. Bathrooms are adorable, spacious, and had changing tables. Overall, Cloud Nine feels warm, intentional, and very family-friendly. It's the kind of place where you can relax a bit while your kids play safely, and we're really looking forward to coming back!
