I have been a loyal customer of IBS for years! Sure this place is tiny but they always have everything I need and more. They always have a great deal on all of my polish needs and the tools I use to give myself a good paint job. They also carry a handful of lotions, oils, wax stuff, cotton balls by the pound, and new gel polish product. It's almost embarrassing to admit that along the years, I've collected over 600 polishes (a bit obsessed??). All of my polishes are in great condition and I never had an issue with the products they sell. When I need help with something I want to try new, they always give me a little tutorial. They also at times have a show and tell where the vendors come out and demonstrate how to use the products. I never had an issue with customer service and feel like they treat me the same way as they do with their professional customers. Matter of fact, if there's a new line coming out that I want, I've asked them to save me the entire collection until I could make my way back there. They have fairly priced OPI, Essie, Orly, and China Glaze polishes (compared to other Vietnamese nail supply stores). Oh, OPI, Chine Glaze, Nubar, Orly, Jessica, & Essie, Oh My! New Opi & China Glaze come in regularly & are priced at 40% of retail. New collections are found here before the others (Ulta, Sally's) get their stock. Yeah sure, service is not up to par, but I don't mind. I like to shop in peace without the owners/cashiers haggling me. So what, if they're staring at you with their eagle eyes? Don't steal or swatch polishes and you'll be fine. Stores like these have made buying nail polish anywhere else blasphemy! Such an amazing selection for half to two-thirds the price?! Get out of here! They have a great array off Opi Essie China glaze for around 4 bux give or take. They also have gel polish (gelish, CND,Vinylux) for 10-14 bux each. I've compared their Opi with the legitimate kind and did some research on how to identify fakes - the verdict: no knock offs here! It's cheaper if you sign up for their free membership but there's an odd requirement - you can't use the members discount for your first time purchase. So remember to grab your membership the first time! Was hoping there was a greater selection of nail jewelry - they have a singular rack of stickers and small rhinestones. 5+ years later since I was introduced to this nail supply store. Made my yearly visit and the nail polish stock is amazing and kept up to date. This store has a wide selection for gel polishes including the new Essie gel couture which no UV lamp is needed. You will however need to buy the top coat for Essie gel couture in order to get the 14 day wear that it advertises. The guy even gave me a little pamphlet for instructions on how to use the Essie gel nail polishes. I left yet again as a happy customer. Yes, the prices seem to go up every time I go here but it's still cheaper than buying these top notch nail polishes at target, sephora, ULTA, etc. from what I bought, here are the prices as of 12/27/16: Essie gel couture - $5 (at ULTA they are priced at 11.50) Opi nail polish - $5 Seche vitae top coat - $4-4.50? What I liked most about it though is that they had a hugeeeee selection of Essie colors. They didn't have as many OPI colors as I would have liked, but they did have the liquid sand kind and all the new lines (Oz, summer collection, etc.) The man working was really nice, and put up with my pickiness! He knew where every color was and even helped us find the right pink we were looking for. Love this little place the guy there may not be the friendliest but hes polite and will help you if you ask him, I usually go to bolsa nail supply but found this place and its pretty good the opi section is not very big but they have a lot of the popular colors and they do tend to carry all the new collections the same for essie and china glaze they will have the new collections but the rest of the selection is ok. I was in nail polish heaven. This place is going to bankrupt me... The store is pretty small so I imagine if there are a lot of people in there, it would be impossible to really browse. Fortunately, there were only two other customers in there when I arrived: a girl and her boyfriend who looked like he wanted drink acetone and die rather than look at more polish. When I walked in, the owner was on the phone and he barely even acknowledged me until I said hi. He grumbled back. Not a good start, I guess. He was then talking to the other customers and they left. I was looking through the OPI racks and started putting things in my basket. He came over and I asked him about upcoming collections (Nicki Minaj and Dutch) so he hung around talking to me about their stuff. They had a pretty nice selection of OPI and Essie. The also carry Nubar which I have never tried so I picked up their Jeans collection. I told the owner that I have some serious nail polish issues and he says to me: "First step is admitting your problem." Haha! Now let me get to the best part: PRICES! (As of 12/17/11) OPI - $4.25 OPI Designer Series - $6.25 Essie - $3.00 Nubar - $3.25 (black cap) I didn't check the prices on China Glaze or Orly but I'm sure they're just as good. I honestly didn't look at all the other stuff but they had the usual assortment of buffers, rhinestones, files, tips, etc. We were talking about nail polish storage and he asked me if I have storage racks. I told him that I had storage stuff already and he said that he'll save me some racks for the next time I come in and I can have them for free if I need them. Score! This is a hole in the wall beauty supply store that is filled with boxes and boxes of stuff. The aisles can fit maybe two small people. But don't judge this book by its cover. It has a wonderful selection of nail polish. I could have stayed there forever, but I wasn't feeling so good. I grabbed me 1 Orly polish, 1 Orly ridge filler, 1 Orly topcoat, 2 of those filing thingamajigs to file down gels, 1 metal cuticle pusher, finger soaker bowls - notice my eloquent knowledge of manicure/pedicure accessories - and a bottle of gel remover. I originally wanted the acetone, but the guy behind the counter told me not to. That it was too strong for gel - better to gel remover. For a total of $30. I thought that was excellent! I was a little hesitant about the gel remover, but I tested both the acetone (had a little at home) and the gel remover and I am soooooo glad to have followed his advise. The Acetone, after soaking for a few minutes started to burn (ouch) and had to repeat dipping my fingers in a few times to get the gel lilfted. The gel remover on the other hand, did not burn, did not cause my fingers to whiten and took just a few minutes. The two men working their weren't warm and fuzzy, mind you. But they treated me with respect and gave great advise. And again, what a selection of colors!! Going back when I feel better! read more

This place is a must-stop if you are a nail polish fan. It's a teeny little store, easily missed. The boxes of shiny goodness are piled almost to the ceiling, and the aisles are kind of narrow. If you like "the hunt" you will be rewarded! They have a great selection of Essie, Orly, OPI, China Glaze, and even Nubar. Their prices are amazing. MUCH cheaper than other places. My first time, I got 2 Orly Cosmic FX polishes (normally $10 each), 1 Essie (normally $8), 1 OPI (normally $8.50) and Orly Bonder (normally about $10) for a total of $26 and change. They also don't charge tax if you pay with cash or a debit card! Sweet! They did have some nail art-related stuff such as decals, striper polishes, etc. and some supplies for gel nails, but I did not pay too much attention because for me it was all about scoring some sweet sweet deals on polishes. read more

I went here on a search for Zoya nail polish. Zoya nail polishes I got!! I got 4 polish bottles, their top coat and an OPI nail polish remover for way less than retail! I'm going back! I didn't see a ton of variety (I'm in search of SpaRituals), but we'll see. I am a fan of BIG5FREE lacquers so it's nice to see that this little shop carries Zoya! Prices can't be beat! This place is dangerous for my wallet. This is my #1 place to feed my nail polish addiction. The owner is so incredibly nice. He knows his inventory too! I asked for a specific polish that wasn't out on the floor and he knew he had it in the back and got me 2 bottles. His prices are *very* good. Cheaper than other supply stores I go to, although he told me last time OPI prices were going up. =( still less than retail, which is fine by me! The store is very small and cramped. It's easy to shop but I wouldn't recommend bringing a stroller in there as the isles are very narrow. If older and forgotten gems are your thing, this is defiantly the place to come. read more

Another place that feeds my addiction. And what also kills my wallet. Ugh, darn it! I love this place. They carry OPI, Essie, China Glaze, Orly, a few other brands that aren't as popular, but one reason I REALLY love this place is because they carry Nubar polishes (which I can't find anywhere but online). I used to pay $7+ for Nubar polishes online, but here they only sell them for $3.25. I was like SERIOUSLY?! I thought it was a joke. OPI is $4, and I forgot how much the other brands are but they're around $3. I bought a huge bottle of Seche Vite top coat (for refills; it also comes with a regular sized bottle) for $15. Amazing stuff. This place is small though. I have two kids & I thought I could bring a stroller in. But nope! The place is organized, although cramped but there has never been too many people shopping the times I went. The guys working here know their stuff and have always been helpful if I am looking for a certain nail polish. Also they always tell me about collections they are expecting soon - like the Nicki Minaj OPI collection. It is amazing how much can be crammed into a small space. My "don't like", few things are priced, tends to give me the idea that I pay based on someone's mood or assessment of my ability to pay... they don't carry a lot of major brand product (you won't get OPI formation tips here) and product is sometimes old... I've asked them to crack open the Creative scrub and smelled old oil, it was put back on the shelf. The upside, really good prices, a good selection of files, polish (inc OPI, China glaze, Nubar, etc), acrylics, glitters, gels, wrap, various tools, clippers, and some of the "off" brand lotions and scrubs are really good. The guys who run and seem to own are really polite and willingly helpful. A good source for both professional and DIYers, one of my three primary in the area... highly recommended Good parking, watch out for the drivers who are not watching... getting back on Bolsa heading east can be a challenge..... read more

This is my fav nail place to get new colors. OPI is $4.25 and the small nail art polish is $1.50. The guy who works the counter is quiet but I like him because he doesn's stare at you suspiciously while you shop and minds his own business. He seems genuinely nice and when you ask a question (about price or whatever) he never sounds annoyed. The store is a bit small and tight to navigate around, but most of these stores are. If you want to buy acetone, you have to ask the guy behind the counter and he goes gets it in the back. It's sort of far and not close to any freeways, but it's really worth it when you are buying 2-3 colors rather than paying retail prices. Oh, and bring cash. I've never paid tax paying with cash thus far. read more

You can get OPI, Essie, China Glaze, at nearly any nail supply store, but Zoya polishes for 4.50 a bottle (a bit higher for pixie dusts) and so many colors and I will be returning very soon to get more... I was at the end of my self imposed polish allowance last trip so only picked up about 8 bottles, so many colors left to get ...this is going to be an awesome place to feed my Nail Polish Addiction! read more

Price for OPI: $4.50 (mediocre) Selection: If you're coming here for OPI and Chinaglaze, then POOR. They have a decent amount of Orly though. I hated how a lot of their nail polishes looked like it's been sitting there forever and you see the nasty separation of colors. VyVy's nail supply in San Diego is cheaper, friendlier, and carries a very wide selection for both Chinaglaze and OPI. Honestly, it was a waste of my time coming here and the only reason it's getting 3 stars is because it's still cheaper than retail. Love this little spot. They are definitely more helpful than Skylark and Beauty Zone. I actually went to those to places right before I came here but Skylark is no longer carrying OPI and Beauty Zone charges $8.50 for them now. I was driving around Garden Grove like a crazy lady looking for the $4.25 OPI stores...and finally I found a little gem of a place. Imperial is very small but they have the colors I needed and even have the new Germany Collection of OPI. The staff was incredibly helpful and gave me recommendations for the best base and top coats. This is nail polish heaven. They have OPI, China Glaze, ESSIE. All the big salon brands. You name it. I found every nail polish color I could ever want in this store. When you walk in this store, you know you can't resist and probably are going to leave with at least three bottles of nail polish. Went there this past saturday, it was empty when i got there and the guy who was there didnt greet me , which i didnt mind BUT he made it so obvious he was staring at me and my sister who went along with me, when we would go to another isle he would be behind the register just staring at us , i literally felt the heat of him just staring at us it was super annoying , its obvious he was staring just to see if we would steal anything because he never asked if i was looking for anything in particular.. that ruined my experience for me and i dont know if i'll go back BUT they do have the OPI Holland collection for you to see but they wont sell it until Feb 8th.. -_- so i might just go back for those polishes and never re visit that store again. read more

Imperial beauty supply is the place to get your nail polish fix. My cousin introduced me to it and I've never gone back to a drugstore since then. The store is very small but, well organized. The owners are friendly and don't follow you around the store like some other places I've been too. They have various brands such as China Glaze, OPI, Essie, Orly etc. I usually come here to get the new Essie colors for only $4.00 each. You can get 2 polishes for the price of one that you would get at CVS and other drug stores. They usually have new colors in stock but, sometimes they don't so you might have to make a second trip back for their new shipment. Be mindful that you may have to double check to make sure the formula is not thinned out. This happened only with two polishes that I bought from the Essie collection = Turtoise and Caicos and Butler Please). All of the other nail polishes I've purchase were perfectly fine. They accept credit card and cash. If you pay cash there is no tax so, def take advantage of that!!! read more
