As i spend a significant amount of time in the 100 mile area, I decided to catch up on some hotel…read morereviews from the past year of trying several. Starting with the worst, OMG what can i even say about this dive. It is so incredibly bad, please for your own benefit avoid this hole. As another reviewer wrote already, it should be burned down. I stay in a lot of hotels, and this is a 0 star place, sadly Yelp makes us give at least a 1. The attached restaurant is no better than the room we had.

One night stay, long road trip between home and Family. Never stayed there but looked like a bed,…read morea pool, some wifi, and kinda quaint small town in ( I try to support the little guys and locals when I can) Cons 1) Now have a case of bedbugs 2) wore shoes everywhere due to condition of the floor, the Rug was from the gold rush i believe and needs dire replacing 3) mold in the shower... always a sign of a quality inn 4) pool needs repainting and some rehab 5) changing rooms were deplorable, moldy shower curtains, floor was again sketchy.. wondering about what foot borne pathogens are out there, that I likely have now 6) Woman of the night plying her trade next door was again another sign of a quality inn 7)Room had been smoked in recently 8)Heat is either 100% on or off..... so freeze or sweat my bag off.... good fun 9) Got to a point I tried to sleep in my car, between no sound proofing, general dirtiness, and overall sketchiness... but alas it was still too cold outside for me to pull it off Pros 1) monster TV in room... maybe the radiation from the glow of the screen will keep bugs and mold down? 2) pet friendly Overall is a dirty hotel stay is what you crave, this is the place for you. If it was up to me, I would sell the actual musuem carriage piece outside and burn this place to ground.

What a junk yard! This place was once a high class resort, but now its falling apart and should be…read moreavoided at all cost! I booked to stay in the kitchenette, but when we arrived we were told by a rude front desk attendant that the room was given away, no reason or alternative was offered. The pool was empty, the restaurant was gone, the building was crumbling and it looked like there hadn't been a lawnmower go near the place in a decade.

If possible, I would give no stars. My husband and I booked into the 108 Mile Resort, a place we've…read morefrequented as a couple since 2002, and in my case, since the early 1970s. Due to COVID and the regional fire in 2017, we had not been for several years. We were taken aback at how run down and unkempt the property had become, specifically the hotel building. Garbage containers were overflowing, and garbage strewn in the parking lot area by the RV hookups. Various items were being randomly and stored disorganized on site, in public areas and/or visible from public areas. The seating area off the reception area (a lounge of sorts), which leads to an outdoor seating area, also seemed to be used as a disorganized storage area. What used to be a beautiful display of planters throughout the property with flowering plants, now display weeds. When we checked in, we were given room 36. The room is a comfortable size, and has a beautiful view of the lakes, golf course and the surrounding area. Unfortunately, that was the only positive. We were able to get into the room without any issue. Leaving the room was something else all together. The door knob mechanism was malfunctioning, making it extremely difficult to open the door. I never was able to get the door to open, and fortunately my husband was able to get it to open, eventually. We did notify the front desk. They were going to mention it to the maintenance person, but didn't seem to be concerned. I was told the building was old, after all, and needs a lot of work. I, in response, pointed out that this was a fire hazard, and put both guests and first responders at risk. The next day I spoke to housekeeping, and the young lady tried, and couldn't get the door open either. She was going to report the issue to the maintenance person. It never was looked at, while we were at the hotel, certainly not when we were still staying in the room. Later that day I sent an email to the front desk, indicating that I was trapped in the room, I couldn't get out. My husband, who was taking a nap, woke up and managed to get the door open - with great effort. I went to the office, again, and they moved us to room 24. The good news - the door worked. The bad news?!?! The sliding door to the balcony was off the track and there was no screen door to keep horseflies, mosquitoes and no-see-ums out. Knowing we weren't going to see the "maintenance person", hubby and I managed to get it back on the track, with great difficulty. Oh, and the wood frame that supports the sliding door has significant wood rot. And then there was the bathroom in #24!! The room should have been condemned, just based on the bathroom alone. In my opinion, this property needs a complete and thorough inspection done by the necessary authorities, and be shut down until such time that the hotel building is brought up-to-code. Moving forward, we will no longer be staying at the 108 Golf Resort.
