WARNING - IMPERIAL SALON - WARNING WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS ABUSE? My wife received a hair salon color treatment at IMPERIAL Salon in Rockledge, FL this afternoon. She had been there last year and was treated well. This year she had a similar experience and the result was nice, but when the "technician" was DONE she announced the price was $278! No warning or fair mention of the price increase. To make matters even worse the technician dripped permanent dye on my wife's Lands End white blouse! Large blotches of dark dye on the collar and on her sleeve without telling her she did it. My wife noticed it at the front desk and they SAID NOTHING. When she got home she noticed even more stains. This was a perfectly white garment. In my opinion, who thinks so highly of themselves that they can charge this much for what they do, especially without the courtesy of a mention of the additional cost? In addition, then spill chemicals on someone without saying they are sorry or offering compensation?? My wife and I feel like she was emotionally mugged. SHAME SHAME and nevermore!! read more

On a whim, I called to see if they had an appointment for today to get color and highlights. The person who answered was very polite, asked me to hold, then booked me a same-day. I'm so glad it worked out. My stylist was Mindy. She was very warm and friendly. She walked me through her decision-making process which made me feel comfortable. The atmosphere is sophisticated and upscale. I felt like I had a 2 hour escape from reality. I am so happy with my hair and I already booked a follow-up. read more

My husband and I went to Imperial Spa for a couples deep tissue massage for our wedding anniversary. I spent a lot of time reading about who I wanted to give us massages at this spa and based on their website bios I felt confident I would be very happy. I asked for Jaime and Thomas, 2 strong capable looking men at the Suntree location. Thomas wasn't available so they scheduled my husband with Kim and I was scheduled with Jaime. Again, I chose Jaime due to him "specializing in sports therapy" and I am a long distance runner. Pro: very nice atmosphere and facilities. Clean and comfortable. Access to sauna and steam room, however the women's steam room was out of service. Lockers to keep clothes and keys. Offered mimosas or champagne, cookies and coffee available. Cons: the masseuse who showed for me was Juliette, a small older woman who was not listed on their site. I was not notified Jaime would not be there or offered to reschedule. I decided to go along since my husband was there. I described my experience of deep tissue to ensure she understood what I was looking for. The massage bed was heated and covered in blankets and I let her know I did not want additional heating, it made me uncomfortable. She did turn the heater off. I even folded the blanket off the table. Once our "time" started, my husband was happy with Kim, she was receptive to his comments using the appropriate technique. My massage hadn't even started yet. Roughly 40-50% of the time of my appointment was used for getting hot wet towels, scrubbing me with said towels, or layering them on my body. Cabinets opening and closing, and her walking away to drink water and cough. On the table, as I said, she covered me in hot wet towels and then the thick blanket after I told her heat made me uncomfortable. Again, this is supposed to be a deep tissue massage. The actual massage was odd, focusing on places like my inner knee and pinching my Achilles. I actually told myself she was going to hurt me. She did find the knots in my upper back, you could hear them snap as she rubbed her elbow over them. Instead of focusing on them she moved on after 4 or 5 seconds. She knocked me in the face with her elbow and also slapped/chopped my back at one point too. To finish, she pulled my head around and scrubbed me with more hot towels to the point I was keeping myself from laughing. I felt like I was at a dog groomer. This was just a really unfortunate experience. I do wish I had a better review to post. It would be one thing if I was able to say I got a relaxation massage versus the deep tissue that I paid for but I didn't get that either. read more

What a great way to spend an afternoon. Especially since the temperature didn't get above 40' today, not beach weather. I recently relocated here from Los Angeles so, it was hard to find someone to do my hair that I trusted. Jeff Davis came highly recommended so I gave him a try. I was so happy that I did! First, you are greeted by really friendly staff who send you to a room to wait and offer you wine, tea, water, cookies... I mean, they really try and make you relaxed for your appointment. Jeff was on time for our appointment and he greeted me with a hug and we discussed my hair (we were in the same page so he got started right away) He has been my guy ever since. I've also purchased things from their shop (some flip flops for a vacation, a 4th of July T-SHIRT, and a few other things as gifts... (beware, they have nice stuff! I almost feel bad about giving only one star considering I can't speak of the spa services provided due to a mess up with even having an appointment. I had never been to this spa before but was wanting to check it out and possibly become an established customer. I reached out through their website, on Friday evening, to make an appointment for two (2) pedicures, two people same day/time. I received an email, fairly quick, about having availability for both of us on that Sunday. I emailed back confirming the appointment and was looking forward to enjoying some self-care. Get to the appointment, try to check in but the front desk clerk couldn't find the appointment. She asked if perhaps our appointments were at the other location and she calls them. Meanwhile I find the email where I was told Sunday at 12pm for two (2) pedicures at the Suntree location and my email confirming said appointments. Clerk gets off the phone and tells me that they don't have an appointment for me at their other location or at the Suntree location. I show her the appointment email and all I got was a "Hmm... sorry, not sure why I don't see you in the system." No "Let me see if we can work you in today since you are already here". No "Sorry that happened, let me set you up with an appointment for another time and day.". Nothing but non-existent customer service. So they not only lost two appointments today but lost the possibility of gaining a new customer or two. read more

Awesome experience! I questioned how a deep tissue massage was receiving a lot of hype. I thought people who got these didn't have any pain receptacles. I don't like pain and I avoid it as much as possible, but decided to give it a try. My chiropractor told me a deep tissue massage would relieve some pain I was having in my back. So, I tried it. Courtney was AMAZING! She is very knowledgeable in what she does. Deep tissue sounds painful to me, but she reassured me that I will not cry. She massaged my back and her technique felt so amazing that I had immediate relief! I did tense up a bit because it was my first time. Than she moved onto my IT bands. I did not know how painful that area was. I let her know and she immediate stopped and adjusted. She worked on my IT bands and my calf area and now they feel new! I could feel my blood flowing easily through my legs. Frikin crazy! I was very impressed! Let's just say, when I went home, I fell asleep and slept for about four and a half hours, AND still went to bed at 10pm to sleep like a baby until I had to wake up for work. My body felt like it was breathing properly! So, call Courtney up for your next appointment! I haven't experienced other therapists there and I don't know if I want to. This might be a monthly thing for me, just saying! Lol. read more

2nd time going to the office in Suntree. Glad to report that i walked away once again a satisfied customer. While the staff seems to be on the "young" side, they are nonetheless very professional and friendly. An attitude that is reflected in the management staff as well. All seem to be eager to make your experience a pleasant one. Both of my deep tissue massages have been with Stacey, whom I recommend wholeheartedly ...great energy and skills. I would judge it to be a midsize establishment with ample supplies of toiletries and the usual "spa comforts". Spa and steam room are also available (a tad small). The only "negative" would be that they have very limited "gastronomic distractions" .... infused water, cookies, wine, and mimosas. There seems to be no option for the calorie conscious individual. I went there on a referral from a friend for a facial. It was a very pleasant experience. Upon walking in the door I was greeted right away and led to the waiting g room to change into a robe and offered some refreshments to drink. I cant remember the name of the facial I had but, Camille was the estethian who preformed it.. It was very very relaxing and she was very knowledgeable about different types of skin and which products work best. I would reccomend this spa it was very clean and very professional. The only problem I had was when I went to pay I used a Spacers which they accept but, they had no idea how to check me out with it so I ended up having to wait about 15 minutes for them to ask other people and redo it a couple of times. I came in thinking that I had an appt scheduled but it was for the following. Saturday. Lucky for me, Jeff had time to squeeze me in. I've never been to Imperial before and I am so happy that I found someone who I can continue to see. I have long, curly hair and am very particular about what so want. I've been disappointed over and over again with my hair cuts. Jeff listened to me and asked a lot of questions. We spent a good 15-20 minutes just consulting about what I was trying to achieve. I felt comfortable enough to tell him to just do whatever he felt best. After washing my hair today and styling the way that I do everyday, I am so happy. He nailed it!! I love this place, the whole Concept of relax and comfort. Dont understand the 3 stars at all. I have a petit facial, a massage and now mani and pedi and just love every minute. Something that I love is that nobody is in a hurry. Specially whennit comes to your pedicure and manicure, i am having traditional ones and this wonderfull girl Emiky is just taking care of my feet. I have to leave a review after my experience here. I had never been to this spa before and was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews on here. However, my experience exceeded all expectations. I received a massage, facial and pedicure package for Christmas. Right when I walked in, I was greeted by two sweet receptionists, one of whom gave me a tour and made me feel comfortable and welcome (also received a mimosa!) One word to describe each of my treatments is INCREDIBLE. My massage, facial, and pedicure were all given by amazing people who definitely made me want to come back. I was spoiled in each. When I called to make a third appointment I was met with an unkind and objectional receptionist. She insisted on an a credit card to make an appointment. I said I don't give that information out on the phone unless it's someone I really trust. The result was me going elsewhere. Honestly thought this place was amazing until I went to use my gift card and there was "no balcance" they have at terible system that can't pull up an history on the giftcards. I spoke to the manager and claimed I was lying and that card had already been used. this lady has no customer care. It's the fact my card was for a full one hour massage and I was told they can't use it, and instead of saying here we can do half of it or solving the issue, she goes to to say if I cancel, I cannot come back anymore. We moved here a month ago and this salon was highly recommended. When you first walk-in, they will take your temperature, have you sign-in, and sanitize your footwear. Before I rant, HUGE SHOUTOUT to one of the stylists, the one that kept fixing the updos that were falling out. I don't remember her name, but she had some awesome pink hair, was great with the little ones AND did amazing work on my bridesmaid. I would pay this lady the high prices, her work was quality and she had great customer srvic Salon and spa look very fancy, staff is friendly, but quality is lacking. I went in on a Friday to do a trial run for my bridal make up on Saturday (destination wedding). It was $150 for my trial, on top of the price my hair and makeup for the next day. THEY CHARGED ME THE SAME PRICE FOR THE TRIAL AND THE ACTUAL UPDO/MAKEUP. She spent about 20 minutes on the trial for hair, and didn't even attempt the full updo. I wouldn't complain about paying full price for a trial if it was the same amount of work. *THIS WAS NOT A PACKAGE DEAL* They day of my wedding comes, I have to fix my eyelashes, and fix the eyeliner. The lighting in the salon was mostly to blame. The eyeliner wasn't brought close enough to the corner of my eye, and there was a spot where the liner didn't even hit my skin. 2 of my bridesmaids, my grandmother and two of my daughters needed their hair fixed, or it fell out. My 4 yr old wound up taking her hair out, BUT, I will blame that on her being 4, so I don't know how long that would have lasted. My 6 and 8 yr old needed her hair fixed before we left the salon, because it looked like very messy in the back. The techniques the stylist used left the updo looking like a frizzball with bobby pins. My stylist said she received training on "time saving updo techniques" so maybe that's why the updos were falling and frizzy. For a small child that doesn't require the same amount of work, they will still charge you the same outrageous price. After wasting well over $600 for myself and my children, I wouldn't recommend this place. The price is not worth it, go somewhere else that isn't as pretty.
