Recently had problems with my computer, a virus appeared on my screen pretending to be a anti-virus! It looked just like my anti-virus, but was a fake anti-virus! It was too late, I entered my credit card information! The next day I took my computer to a local repair shop in the village of Huntington called IMS. My interaction with the office manager was EXCELLENT! She was kind, courteous and extremely knowledgeable! I checked their prices and was pleasantly surprised that they DO NOT CHARGE to evaluate my computer for the problems! April explained to me that it was not fair to either of us to charge to find out the problem with the computer and I happily agreed! I left my tower with April and within 1 hour received a phone call from IMS's senior technical adviser, Brett who I must say made it very easy for me to understand exactly what happened to my computer and how I could prevent this in the future. After I was quoted the cost to repair and the cost for new and better anti-virus, I was pleasantly relieved that I could afford the repair! Just to be sure I was getting a fair price for the repair, I checked my local best buy store (geek people) and was glad to see that the price was 1/2 of what Geek squad quoted me, and they charge for estimates and it would be days to to get the repair complete not in a couple of hours like IMS did for me! On a side note this computer repair shop is more then just a local computer repair shop, as they also do audio and video, theaters - music for the entire house - wiring, phone systems, alarms and even security cameras! As I was gladly paying for the repair for my tower, the owner came out to greet me, thanking me for the business - a very nice touch! All said and done, I was so happy with this local gem of a business! The owner said they even come to the house or business and pick ups and deliveries are FREE! Can you believe it? I truly recommend IMS, as they are professional, courteous and their prices are amazingly affordable! read more
