My husband and I tried going to In Focus the first week we moved here at the beginning of 2020, about 3 months before COVID hit. We knew from the first day we visited that there was no need to look for other churches because we immediately felt right at home. Our favorite aspects of the church are that they teach sound, theologically accurate sermons, the church is multi-generational and multi-ethnic, and we have found great community through our involvement. I am so thankful to be where I am in my friendships, relationships, and spiritual walk and I don't think it would be possible without the teaching and community I have found here! A few things to note: - They do lock the doors during service from the outside, but there is a security team that lets you in as needed (it is just for safety precautions) - There is a tent that has a welcome bag, so if it's your first time make sure to stop by and snag a bag as well as meet some friendly faces - There is coffee/water/tea available before the first service and second service (yum) - There are ear plugs/ mints available at the front desk, so if the music is too loud for anyone, sit near the back or snag some earplugs (they're free!) - There is also a pre-service show that they record live every Sunday, so if you get there about 5-10 minutes before the service starts, you won't miss it! read more

From the first visit we loved this church. We are a young family with two kids, 3 and 12. We all love different things about the church. My big boy and I love the praise and worship. It's exciting and uplifting. The words on the screen make it easy to follow even when I've never heard this music. The word is easy to understand and follow which is good for my middle schooler. My toddler loves the daycare. I'm a stay at home mom so he loves going to his school on Sunday and seeing his teacher just like his big brother does all week. Everyone is nice. Even when you're pulling into the church there are people right outside ready to invite you in every Sunday. The church members come in different shades and ages which is exactly what a church should look like. They always have events going throughout the month which keeps us engaged. We often travel so the online services are a big plus. They have two services which is great for us late risers. The church is very come as you are. There's no judgement. You don't feel forced to dress up and if you do dress up that's cool too. Some do and some don't. We are all there to praise God. I was referred to this church by a member I met briefly out in public. So glad our paths aligned so that my family could find a new church home. read more

Worship is contemporary and overall the church is trying to appeal to the next generation. Spiritually, there is a diluting of Gods word that is going on in an honest attempt to teach believers how to navigate our Christian walk. The gaps in the messaging has been especially highlighted given the current societal climate in the US. Love God, love others. It's that simple and outwardly this is spoken here. Inwardly there seems to be idolatry, particularly when it comes to politics. Our hope is in God and Him alone. While it is clear there are duties as Christians to participate in government. It is not our hope, otherwise it is an idol. Seek justice and do right, no argument there. More and more lately with this church there's been a subversion of Christians acting as one body in Christ, but instead belief in politics and government instead. When this church seems to espouse teachings of Rev Eugene Cho (via email on Nov 19), it's more apparent there are under the surface lies this church needs to be free of. Watch Cho's video on "faith and politics", when someone opens up with "I'm not in the practice of strong arming my church to support any side of the political aisle", then watch out he's about to do whack you over the head from behind with an agenda. Amazing Church! If you want to immediately feel at home and surrounded by a family this is the place for you. Going to church once felt like a chore to check off... but Infocus is so uplifting - my family does not want to miss a Sunday or an event! I love this church and what they're doing for the local community as well as overseas. The worship is also great if you like modern songs from Hillsong or Elevation Church. The senior pastor is an excellent teacher and his sermons are doctrinally sound. We're a military family and have to leave Augusta, so we're praying to find a church that has been as welcoming and friendly as In Focus has been to us. read more

Fairly good church, went for a full year and only really got to know one person. People that go there are friendly enough. The word is good, but they talk funding as if it were air, so it does get a little tiring. Was usually happy when we went there. We are no longer a part of that church though. We had issues and missed out for three months, never heard from a soul, nobody cared. I have a special needs child. The day we returned I was so happy to be back and so disappointed when they basically kicked him out of child church. I get it, he can be loud. But it was done so coldly, it left a bad taste in my mouth. I thought it was church. I even sent them a message about the issue and never got a reply. Again, nobody cared! NO GOING BACK! read more

Good message today at the 11:15 service. Band is very large at about 12 musicians and four or so singers. The pastor is the keyboardist while his wife singers backup. If you don't like loud music you probably won't enjoy this. I enjoyed the message and the format was very contemporary. Overall a very solid 3 stars. I recommend they employ a female lead vocals. The make lead singer is good but I prefer a female singer with backup chorus. read more

i have been going to this church for nearly two years, and i absolutely love it. i grew up in a charismatic, off the wall sort of place, and as the victim of a ruthless business decision on this church's behalf, i never thought i could love or trust a church again. the pastor and his wife are genuine and approachable, the music is phenomenal, their outreach is sincere...i am convinced this is the place for me. Nothing more needs to be said about InFocus other than I leave feeling uplifted, encouraged and happy to be a Christian. Pastor Brent is a genuine guy that loves what he does. Although my daughter is still young, they seem to have good programs for her as she grows up. I also like how the church is a bit more contemporary than others I've been too. I'm not saying it's bad, but some churches when you go in, everyone has white or gray hair. InFocus has a good future. read more
