Read this before considering giving this business your money. I got scammed. Bottom line- business owner is rude, hard to talk to and takes your money without providing a service. 4 months ago i bought a used car. I took it to Smog n go to get a smog test. Owner had it for 30 minutes. Said it passed and then said he will send the info over to the dmv. He game me a receipt for the smog but no paper work verifying the smog test. Being naive i trusted him crumpled up the receipt and went on my way. Fast forward 3 months and i get a letter from the dmv saying i need to get a smog test. Looking into it there was no record of a smog test reported to the dmv. I confront the business owner about this and he starts yelling and screaming at me saying its my fault, "you should have kept the papers" I am not going ti take the hit for this. Bottom line, He never sent in the passed smog test results. He Took my money without providing the services needed. I tried talking to him and tried to negotiate another smog test but he said no way and i would have to pay for another. Owner was rude has no customer skills and is a thief. Because I own a car that no longer has that new-car smell, the California DMV has determined that I have to have it smog-checked every 2 years. It's an 8-year old Honda Civic, for cryin' out loud. Anyway, Jose runs this little smog check station on the corner of Woodside and Winter Gardens. It's clean, relatively quiet, and fast. And if you come at the right time, you can slip next door to the Lakeside BBQ (the other half of the converted gas station) and pick up a BBQ sandwich and be back in time to pick up your car. If you live in the area, you can't beat it for convenience. read more

SCAM!!! My car has passed smog every single time. I took it to my mechanic and he said it was more than ready. When I took it in, the guy did a few things I've never seen done before. He took apart some of the lines and put drops in the system, then POOF. I was 5 times over the limit. Of course he recommended a "mechanic" that could easily "fix" it for me. RIP OFF!! My Mechanic says he is lying and running a scam to get work for his "mechanic" friend, who will miraculously fix the problem. PLUS no free Re-test!! So you are screwed both ways. RIP OFF.. I AM REPORTING this shop to the Bureau of Automotive Repair and the Air Resources Board. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF!!! read more

DOUCHEBAG !!! Ive been bringing all my vehicles to him for the past 5 yrs , recently i brought back one of my trucks which he has performed the last 2 smogs on & it has always passed , this time i commented on how he raised his prices again , & suddenly my truck no longer passes his visual inspection , it passes the sniff test but now he claims my catalytic converter is wrong , i show him the receipts from the last 2 smogs which he performed where the truck passed his so called visual inspection , he said it was his mistake & he cant allow it to pass again , now this is was an all new ca legal exhaust system i had installed with the new motor 8 yrs ago & nothing has been changed , this guy is a DOUCHEBAG DO NOT bring your vehicle to him , now because i inquired why he had raised his prices again I now have to take a day off work and go to a CA SMOG REFEREE to have my truck inspected , there are several other local options for smog which are all cheaper , BE WARNED DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS GUY read more
