Called In Stitches to see if they would resew a 15 year old motorhome bra.They said to bring it down so they could look at it. Dropped it off late Thursday and they said probably couple of days, which was fine. The person who does the sewing came out and said it would not be a problem and she would check all the seems. The folks at "In Stitches Customs" Upholstery say they are a custom shop, and are not just an upholstery shop. They have been in the area for years yet when I ask them for a quote online for some custom covered RV cushions made from memory foam. They said they don't do that kind of work. In their intro for their business they say we do custom upholstery for boats RVs etc. Yet they are not just an upholstery shop. I'm sorry but that doesn't even make sense to me. Go figure... I called the only upholstery business in Lake Havasu that doesn't do upholstery unless it meet their standards. Or unless you have a boat. I may be ignorant about some things but I'm definitely not ignorant about this topic. I looked up the definition of upholstery It says: upholstery  noun English Language Definition of upholstery : the cloth, leather, etc., that covers a couch, chair, foam seat, mattress etc. : the process or business of covering pieces of "furniture" with cloth, leather, nylon, or other synthetic materal fabrics etc. So I definitely would not recommend - IN STITCHES CUSTOMS Upholstery shop to anyone nor do I understand their obscure definition of what they will upholster ! read more

A 100% misleading nightmare of a Company. Money in advance and no realistic updates only excuses for 4 months. Ended up having another vendor install in the local area with zero issues and a happy to help attitude. Highly recommend shopping around the immediate area there in Lake Havasu as there is way way better for better pricing and real time delivery. We needed new carpets in our boat and decided that this year would be the year to make that happen. We rented a house last year, while boating at Lake Havasu, and kept passing by this old building that said custom upholstery and carpets. As the week went on and we passed each day coming and going, we noticed there were always cars and boats there. I decided to give them a call and start the bid process. They were very competitive with other like businesses and the young lady on the phone gave me a bid for our boat. I stopped by for them to measure and the patterns that they had for our Chaparral did not match. But they said not to worry and they created the pattern for our boat. The work was fast and had no problems, they sent me pictures of the finished product and it looks amazing. It also looked like they did other custom work in there when I visited, like Bimini's and stuff. Top notch shop with amazing customer service. We snapped one of our Bimini straps this weekend and my husband took it into this shop and, I believe it was the owner, made a new strap on the spot. We then snapped another strap the next day and my husband brought in the remaining three straps for the Bimini at 5 PM on Monday and by 9 AM the next morning all three straps were done. Not only that but my husband brought in our Bimini cover that needed a new zipper and they put a new zipper in on the spot. This is a great shop with reasonable prices. After getting a bimini from another local Havasu shop that I was never satisfied with, I decided to use InStitches for a Stainless 1" Bimini that I am beyond satisfied with. I needed a complete Bimini replacement and I shopped around. A friend had recommended a different business, but I felt like I was imposing on them and they really didn't seem to care or want my business. In hindsight I am very grateful that I found Institches. They were very friendly, very knowledgeable and super helpful. The work they did was terrific and exceeded my expectations. To top it off, when I went to pay the bill and go over some details, I mentioned that I needed to take my boat over to get the stereo fixed. They mentioned that they would take a logo at it. Came here to have some shade screens added to our bimini cover. When we first came in for the estimate the owner was very friendly and informative. We described what we wanted and she got to measuring. We arranged a date to drop off our boat. We even got a military discount(they love our servicemen!) What really impressed us was they finished it in the same day! Now that's not always the usual but she was able to knock it out..so appreciated! It's exactly what we wanted! Very happy with her work and the friendly staff. We're even planning on having her do some stuff for us in the winter.
