There were two of us and we were seated in a chair to soak pretty fast but then I waiting about 45 minutes for my turn. They need more nail techs. Then the place got packed. Kids screaming. Owner screaming at his kids. A young customer in a back room was having her eye brows waxed or colored or something and she starts crying loudly that her eyes are burning. She finally walks out with little bandages around her eyes and one of the other customers tells them she needs to go to a hospital. Personally my pedicure was not bad. Even with 3 people soaking and waiting he took his time and his massage was fabulous . Hopefully they use sterilized tools. The place needed sweeping and cleaning. I will update this review if my feet catch anything. In general this place is super scary and we will be looking for a different pedicure place. Will not recommend coming back...but going to make for a great adventure story.

Another hour later I was still waiting so I paid for the partial service. This past Saturday I had a 9am appointment for a regular manicure and pedicure . I sat for 45 minutes before being placed in the pedicure chair. I sat 30 minutes before the tech started my pedicure. Once my pedicure was done I sat 30 more minutes for another tech to do my manicure. The owner Kim gave her a cuticle remover to use and stated how good it was. After she applied it to 1 finder I asked why she do the same for other she stated that was the only that needed it. I asked her if that was the only finger she was going to cut the cuticle on. She pretended not to understand. During my pedicure she stopped several times to talk with another tech and kept getting up to go tend to other customers. Once we got to the polish stage I noticed the color was not the same as what was in my fingers and being able to see the significant difference in color she argues it was the same. I got up and found the color myself and all she could say was "oh sorry". My gel polish is too thick on both my fingers and toes. The gel polish on 2 of my fingers is already cracked and peeling less than 24 hours later. The young teenage girl that works on Saturday's is managing the phones, customers as they come in replacing towels at stations etc. She even performed services on customers and I'm more than confident that she is NOT licensed. The customer inquired about the same and she said "I sometimes do this to help". Many of the staff don't seem to be licensed based on my Lin history of getting my nails done. This place is a cosmetology licensing board nightmare. I can only image all the fines and fees this place would receive if they were inspected. I tried to give them a 2nd chance but 3 hrs 15 minutes for a basic mani and pedi is unacceptable. I DO NOT recommend this place unless you don't care about your services being performed my licensed professionals and you have unlimited amount of time to waste waiting.

I repeat you have to make an appointment if you don't want a long wait bc this place stays busy. Busy is a sign of good rapport which is why customers keep coming back. I only get nail options that instantly dry such as gel, solar, or dip bc it's easy to mess up nails when waiting for paint to dry no matter what salon you go to. I'm particular about my nails & have no problem critiquing along the way so it's done right. Hao (Pronounced "How") is very attentive to detail & friendly to everyone. However, I've noticed they may selectively choose which customers to serve, which hasn't been an issue for me--until today. I was in a rush, and my mother needed a manicure and pedicure, so naturally, I chose this salon. During my mom's appointment, I decided I would also get my eyebrows waxed. I informed the staff, and although they acknowledged my request, no one came to service me. I assumed they were waiting for the person who handles waxing. Later, my mom asked if I was still getting my eyebrows done, but at that point, I replied "never mind" and went to sit in the car. To my shock, the technician doing my mom's nails mentioned that they were prejudiced against me because of my skin color, saying I was "too dark." When my mom asked why they were servicing her, they replied that it was because she was light-skinned. My mother was so upset by this blatant discrimination that she left without getting her eyebrows done either. It's truly disheartening to experience this kind of treatment, especially in 2024. I will be telling everyone I know about this, as it's clear they don't welcome dark-skinned people. I've lived in Hammond the last 4 years and this is the first..smh
