Completely disgusted with this company. Don't rent anything from this company. There's absolutely no customer service, especially on the weekends. I'd you have a weekend event, use another organization. Their main phone number has a message that says they aren't there on the weekends, but if you have an emergency, leave a message and they'll return a call 'IMMEDIATELY '...I called 4 times and sent 2 urgent emails. Guess what? Yep, not a single response. They provided an email advising they'd deliver my items by 10:15am. No call saying they'd be late, no follow up to my urgent calls and when they arrived 21/5 hours late with the wrong tent I discussed with Kristen (20x40).. unfortunately, I didn't catch the mistake on the quote, and they overcharged for another item, I was stuck with a 20 x 20 tent. When the delivery guys finally showed up, they forgot poles at the shop, so they left for an hour to pick up the missing poles. The guys were nice, just caught up in a bad situation. They called the 'boss' who clearly never learned how to actually act like a boss. A complete ignorant buffoon. She had no explanation for the lack of response to my many calls, or why Kristen didn't pay attention to what she wrote. The Boss tried to resolve the situation by saying ' let me see if we can bring an additional smaller tent, can we put that on your card...I couldn't hardly believe it. We're 3 hours late now and this giant fool tells me she'll try to help and give me your credit card so I can screw you again...well, hell no, that's not going to happen. You've already ruined my event with your 3 hour delay, the wrong tent, and your unprofessional, rude attitude. I would fire someone so inept if they worked for my company. So, I was being generous with the 1 star review. Nobody even checked with me to see if they could do anything more. Just left. No goodbye, no hope it goes well, no I'm sorry, or I apologize for the boss being an idiot, nothing. Got in the truck and left. Good riddance. I will never hire this bunch of unprofessional people ever again. read more

I rented tents for a wedding reception in Tallahassee from In Tents Events. As forecasted, there were some scattered afternoon rain showers, which were very light to moderate rain. However, to our horror, water started gushing down inside the middle of the tent, spraying water all over the dining tables. We immediately called In Tents Events, however they were unreachable by phone, all we got was a recording. Since In Tents Events office would not respond to our calls, we called In Tents Events owner, Donna Smithey, on her cell phone, however she was unreachable, as well, and all we got was another recording. After an hour and a half the owner finally answered her phone, and to our disbelief, she told us the tents were "supposed" to pour water inside the middle of the tent when it rains! Our wedding coordinator begged the owner to come out and fix the leaking tents. The tents were supposed to have had a rain gutter installed on their roof, which prevents the rain from coming inside the tent. In Tents Events refused to fix the problem, worst of all they never once apologized for forgetting to install a rain gutter or for leaving us on our own with a leaking tent. In Tents Events was paid several thousand dollars in advance to provide us with a safe and dry tent, however once they had our money, it was obvious they could care less about whether the tents worked or not for my daughter's wedding. I would never in a million years trust this company with ANY event of mine again. read more

Total disaster! We rented a large tent, tables and chairs from them for an event. The guys showed up and did nothing but complain about having to set up the tables and chairs. Every time I left and band back they were all just sitting there and smoking and nothing was done. The supervisor women didn't care she just left. When I stepped out a little later and Reuter, I found they had left without finishing the setup! We all had to pitch in together to get it set up. I would not recommend In Tents Events. My wedding was Nov. 17 & we rented a large tent, lighting, 2 heaters & a dance floor from them. They delivered the items to my venue as scheduled on Friday Nov. 16. My husband & I were there to meet them & let them know where we wanted tent & dance floor set up. We stayed around for about 2hrs watching them until we finally decided to leave bc we had other things to do. Well we came back to venue later that evening for our wedding rehearsal. The installers were just leaving as we were finishing up rehearsal around 345pm. We started to leave after rehearsal but my hubby wanted to take a look inside of the tent. Thank God we did, because they left a mess. When I saw the mess, I was immediately upset. The tent flaps were soooo dirty. They left broken light bulbs on the ground, whataburger cups on the ground, blown light bulbs & dance floor was uneven. My hubby immediately called them & complained. They sent the installers back to resolve the mess they left. Even though they attempted to fix the problems, it was undue added stress. I would not recommend In Tents Events for a special occasion. For the amount of money they charge upfront, there shouldn't be issues of this magnitude. read more

There are other businesses in Tallahassee that will treat you better. When booking, I specified chair covers and bows to be installed on my chairs. When the delivery person came, they said they would not install it and I had to call the office to figure it out. The delivery people didn't set anything up at all. Which is inconvenient since I had my event to prepare for and I paid for installation. Although the lady on the phone, Courtney, was very nice, this entire process was frustrating. Not to mention the boss was nonchalant and did not care at all. It took away time from other things I needed to do. I called and there was no answer. Even though I lost money and it ruined my event, hopefully other customers will steer clear of this place. There are other places in Tallahassee that are cheaper, with better customer service, and run by more respectable people. Deon's Photography & 24/7 Party & Event Rentals is a better company that will make your event hassle-free! Hosting an event can be stressful, especially when you're planning it on your own. I couldn't imagine ordering equipment for a special event like a wedding and dealing with these individuals. They will mess up your day and not care at all. That is a guarantee! We rented tables, chairs and a dance floor for my daughters wedding in our backyard. They delivered and picked up when promised and the delivery staff were so friendly and nice to work with. The office staff was great to work with and answered our Stop correcting "bizillion" questions and even accommodated some changes before the wedding date. I will definitely use them again! read more

Thank you Kristen Stewart and the staff at In Tent Events. We rented 2 pop up tents for the Usatf youth national cross country championships, thinking it would be a warm sunny Florida weekend. It turned out to be one of the coldest and wettest December weekends in Tallahassee. The crew at In Tent events upgraded us to 2 marque tents with sides free of charge. We were so thankful to have that extra protection from the 42 degree wind. The runners and parents from McFarland track club were very thankful! read more

This business is extremely unprofessional. We were so busy with other event details we didn't pay attention to the guys unloading until there was a problem. COUNT YOUR TABLES AND CHAIRS. WATCH THEM! They deliver broken items and try to hide it. They don't bring exact numbers of what you ordered and when you notice tables and chairs are missing its too late. They'll charge you regardless and tell you that YOU lost them. We sat there and watched them pull out a table that was broken and throw it back on the truck. We called to tell them on Monday and they just deny it. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! EXTREMELY DISHONEST!!!!!!!!! They are cheap for a reason. read more
