Wow, where do I even begin. When I first started wedding planning back in the beginning of 2019, I remember reading on a wedding page that having a day-of-coordinator was an absolute MUST. I came across Melinda as one of our venues preferred vendors. I called her and received in depth, on-the-spot detail of her services and responsibilities as a coordinator. After one conversation, I was immediately drawn to Melinda's energy, attention to detail, and passion. You hear the horror stories on a daily basis...what is supposed to be the biggest and happiest day of your life,  goes horribly wrong. Why? Because you didn't hire the right coordinator. You figured you could save a few bucks and do it yourself. Or perhaps your friend who is uber organized can pull it off. Not so much. Its not a party, its not a gathering, IT IS YOUR WEDDING! As a wedding photographer who has shot well over 100 weddings, I've witnessed just about every scenario; the drunk brother, the lost rings, late vendors, even a forgotten wedding certificate. What I haven't seen though, or hadn't until I had the pleasure of working with Melinda is seeing someone handle all those issues (true story btw) with such grace, ease and amazingly charming personality. You would hope every coordinator is organized, so that should be a given. But what you can't assume is a personality fit. A passion for their craft. And above all, for someone to love your wedding day as much as you do. In Melinda you have that, no doubt. I am a wedding photographer and had the privilege of both working with Mel side by side as photographer and coordinator AND also hired her as day of coordinator for my wedding. From beginning to end, Mel is amazing and puts in 150% love, effort, and care into all her weddings. She will meet and chat with you all throughout the whole process via email, text, phone. As a videographer I really appreciated this since I did want to mention a few things to her. Melinda was friendly and professional and followed this call up with another call a few days before the wedding. So I just got married 2 months ago. I was hesitant about getting a coordinator because of the price but when I came across Melinda's services I gave her a call and I honestly did not call any other service. Her prices were unbeatable, I chose the 30 day wedding coordination service but let me tell you - she answered all of my phone calls, texts and emails even 1 year in advance. 30 days prior to the big day she took the reins on all of the coordination, she reached out to every single one of my 15 vendors and planned their arrival times. She created a day of timeline for the groomsmen, bridesmaids and family which made the day go by so smoothly. She coordinated the entire ceremony with 20+ people involved. The day of she showed up bright and early and was grinding so hard. I gave her all of my decorations and asked her to just put them wherever she felt it was best. She decorated all of my tables better than I could have ever imagined. She set up my entire seating chart, flower arrangements and even kept the biggest smile on her face throughout. At times when I was overwhelmed with emotion she would make me laugh and forget about all of the stress. Melinda became not only our "coordinator" but one of my husband and I's best friends. Where do I even start? Melinda is an amazing person. She's awesome at her job and she really takes the stress out of planning a wedding. We hired her a long ways away from our wedding date and she was there for us every time we needed her. She made great recommendations in vendors and decor planning. She responded pretty quickly, I contacted her on Friday, we met in person the following Monday, wedding was that Saturday. She was our "day of coordinator" but as soon as we hired her, she contacted all my vendors, she worked on the timeline, she was readily available for me anytime of the day or night via text or phone call. Right off the bat, she was energetic, she was excited about our wedding even though I had just met her. As we went through the details of the wedding, she gave me the perfect recommendations and solutions, she knew exactly what she was doing. She is funny but honest and direct to point. The rehearsal and Wedding went seamless, everything was perfect. I was not stressed at all knowing that Melinda had everything under control. All of our family and friends who witnessed her in action were very impress by her work ethic. When I got engaged, I immediately began planning my wedding. I felt that I could handle everything on my own. I am a perfectionist and I wanted to be a being a hands-on bride. I did not think that anyone, including a wedding planner, would be able to execute my vision as well as I could.
