My wife and I just completed our two-night stay here in Cascade as we celebrated our wedding…read moreanniversary. I chose NoBo based on the reviews. NoBo is located at the northern end of Cascade, right off 55. I has a nice curb appeal, almost a Tudor vibe. The parking lot was huge and only a fraction was being used--including, I noticed, a couple in a large, class A RV. Hopefully they received permission from management. Inside is nice, perhaps a little dated. There is a curbed staircase to the second floor with large, nice wood banisters. They have an inside pool and jacuzzi, and even an onsite restaurant, which we did not try. It is three stories high. We did have to wait for at least 10 minutes to be helped when we arrived, not because of any fault of the desk clerk, but because a woman was having an ongoing conversation about have her dog stay there. No one really acknowledged us during this time. Speaking of checking in: I really liked that, through the app, you could check in early and even choose your room, along with a digital key, such that we only really needed to check in at the front upon arrival in order to get my wife a room key, as she didn't want to download the app to get the digital key. We chose the third floor, away from the elevator, facing 55. We did have a view of the parking lot, but we also had a view of the mountains, and that was nice. Our room had two queens, which is how we normally book, because my wife is a sound sleeper and I'm not, and I don't want to bother her. The room was spacious enough. It had a dresser and a simple desk, though no paper or pen. There was no clock in the room, perhaps on purpose. There was also no mini fridge or microwave. At first we did not feel that the wall-mounted AC was doing the job, but later felt that it cooled the room just great. Of note, the beds were about as comfortable as any hotel bed I've slept in, very nice. The bathroom was small, as was the tub. The water pressure was weak, taking away from the pleasure of taking a shower. The fan was controlled by buttons next to the toilet and was on a timer. You could choose 5, 10, 15, and 30 minute durations. There was a hairdryer. Counter space was limited. There were limited electrical outlets on the nightstand and desk; I had to have devices sitting on the floor to charge. We had an issue with our hair conditioner bottle running out and mentioned it to the desk clerk. They responded immediately, so service was great. The complimentary hot buffet breakfast was definitely a weak point. Most hotel breakfasts have watery scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes and sometimes biscuits and gravy, as well as the other options, like waffles. The first morning, there was a fritata that had no flavor and was not warm. The second morning there was a small omelet with what seemed like American cheese, which I don't like. The potatoes were soggy and tasteless. The sausage patties and links were good. The biscuits were decent. Coffee was just OK. All in all, a nice stay. As far as we could see, if you want to stay in a hotel, this is the only game in town. There are motels, but staying in those places goes back to my college days. No more. Nobo is a nice hotel, reasonably priced, conveniently located, though a lakeview would have been optimal. We've stayed in McCall before, and we think we like the idea of staying in quiet Cascade and traveling up to McCall if desired, only about a 35-40 minute drive.

I had a great stay here! I was impressed the moment I walked in. Hotel lobby was well designed…read more Front desk attendant was extremely friendly. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Everything seemed well maintained. I even had a faux fireplace! Ate dinner in the onsite hotel. Being an odd night and off season many of the menu items were not available. I did order a steak item off the tapas section that tasted like Mongolian beef. It was very well prepared. My Jack and Coke was served in a can which caught me off guard. Still good. Complimentary breakfast was very good. The breakfast burritos and salsa all seemed homemade. (Wish I could find salsa that good back home). Indoor swimming pool looked inviting. In all a hidden gem I wish I had more time to enjoy.

I can't recommend them because they couldn't even be bothered to reply until 2 days later when I…read moretexted again. If they'd just replied right away and said sorry we're too busy already during the holiday season, that would be a MAJOR bummer, but it's good customer service to not leave a potential customer hanging. Because now I don't want to try them even if I can plan more in advance... more than 1 other review said that the communication is so great but unfortunately I did not have that experience. I texted on December 22 at 6:08 PM and it shows delivered at 6:09 PM. I heard nothing back until I texted again today, Dec 24 at 1:57 PM after leaving a short vm. Seeing that their website shows they OPEN at 3 AM, I had asked on the 22nd if the airport shuttle could pick up in West Nampa at 3 AM on Tuesday, December 30, and how much (I didn't say at that time it's because my flight is close to 5 AM). I didn't hear back at all Today is December 24, Christmas Eve I just texted again after leaving a short voicemail and said I was surprised I haven't heard back from you yet. Praying for safety and good! they replied right away today, saying "have a wonderful Christmas Eve as we are spending time with our families! Today, we are only doing pre-scheduled not a last-minute calls. Thank you for understanding. Merry Christmas " So I replied that I texted two days ago for info/ quote for a very early flight on the 30th and no answer, but okay. Then they replied, "we have reservations pre-booked up to 90 days. Appreciate your understanding as holiday as busiest time of year. Merry Christmas" So I am interpreting that to mean they think trying to contact them a full week in advance was last-minute notice, and rather than just respond accordingly at the time, or in the last 2 days, they blew me off and basically said we're too busy and don't care to even reply (unless maybe they feel bugged into replying?) Good for those people who know they're flying 90 days in advance and know the specifics enough to call that far in advance lol I gave an extra star in recognition that I could be misinterpreting their responses. That can certainly happen, especially via text messages. Regardless I wish them the best!!! The Boise area has NEEDED a specifically airport shuttle, so I am rooting for them!

We have used Senada, but if she is not available, she has supplied reliable substitute drivers. This is the way to go without stress!
